On a recent cruise, we made a stop in Cozumel with my sister and her family. I was happy I got to use one of the new styles of Tesalate Towels they sent me. I love these towels as they are so compact and they easily go in their handy little bag. For us when we’re cruising and having a beach day, we usually have a backpack full of stuff. Not having thick, bulky towels makes packing so much easier. On the way back to the ship, you don’t have to worry about bringing a bunch of sand…and water back…

Here’s week 28 highlights. + Dinner with our ‘adopted’ Army son, before he heads off to his next training location. + This cute little lizard hides on the walk way and often pops out and startles me. + Celebrated Rob’s birthday with some Italian. + Happy to report Katniss was located in my neighbor’s yard. Not sure what happened, but glad she’s home…hoping she doesn’t disappear again. + Love this color of tomatoes.

The United States is a huge and diverse place with beautiful locations to visit. Whether you want time in a big city or a nature-rich vacation, you can find everything you could wish for in the U.S. I find I like vacations with a mixture of both! I can’t wait to share about my recent trip to San Francisco, where we got the big city feel, but also enjoyed some time on the California coast driving on highway 1. First, it is important to consider who you are going with. You should all have a conversation about what kind of…

Yeah, I feel like posting these weekly updates, my life is pretty boring. It is what it is though, right! + Kayleigh bringing me one of very dilapidated babies. + Next 3 pics across are from the garden. Love seeing these pops of colors. + Drew and Caitlyn came over on 4th of July for a little bit and Bigsby and Kayleigh got to play. Besides that 4th of July was pretty boring. I wasn’t feeling great so I was glad to just be home all day and not do anything. + Sadly, this is the last picture of Katniss…

LIFE Happenings Here’s my weekly posts to catch you up. Week 23 Week 24 Week 25 Week 26 Loving my air fryer again. I feel like when you get small appliances like an air fryer, you go through phases of using it. It gets put away and you just kind of forget about it. I started using again for pork chops and that has just rejuvenated my love for it. Happy that I’m finally seeing some fruiting from the garden. Excited to get some stuff accomplished (haircut, eye appointment) Reminiscing about Drew’s graduation trip in 2016. Such a epic trip…

If you missed my first Texas post, you can click here. The 2nd half of the trip was visiting with family. On Friday morning, Rob said his goodbyes to the conference people and we loaded the car. We had about an hour and half drive ahead of us. Before going all the way over to Weatherford, we stopped back in the North Richland Hills for lunch at Chan’s Mongolian Grill and then drove by my Granny’s old house and the the house I grew up in. Neither of which are part of my family anymore, but since Rob wasn’t with…

+ Our dining room table that was Rob’s gramma’s is always dressed. She always had the table pad and a table cloth on it. So it has hardly any imperfections on it. When we need to wash the table cloth, we pull the table pad off and let it ‘air out’ 🙂 + On Sunday lunch, my mother-in-law brought 2 of our nephews and a niece that she was babysitting. + Friday, Caitlyn and I did lunch at Hey Day Market. We both got tacos from Wild Child. Pretty good, but pricey!! + Eye appointments for me and Alex on…

Here we are for Day 31! We made it to the end. Today we’re finishing up the series with a low carb cookbook called America’s Best Low Carb Recipes by Anne C. Cain. It is so chock-full of recipes. I love that it teaches the difference between good and bad carbs. It has 3 different carb-rating phases along with meals plans. I’ve been doing low carb for about a year and half, but I love these carb rating pages, to help me to get ideas for ways to cut carbs when I’m feeling like I just can’t lose weight for…
