This month I was happy about: Things feeling a little more normal with college football starting and activities like soccer and scouts ramping back up for fall. Also glad we’ve been blessed with some cooler days. This month I was sad about: Not sad about much or that I can remember, which is good! Here’s my rating system for entertainment: ♥ ♥ = Love it! A must read/see! ♥ = Really good! Highly recommend. ✓ ✓ = Good, not great ✓ = Not much to talk about X = Awful. Total waste of time Movies I watched were: The Lost…

Today I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday. What We’re Eating I feel like this is almost the same answer as last month, but its true. I think I burnt myself out all these months being home and preparing/cooking lunch and dinner. I can’t seem to get back to meal planning and when I have a half done meal plan I don’t stick with it. However, I have managed to make some yummy food, but didn’t write down how I did it. I made a chili soup, kind of just a more soupy version of chili…

Today I’m sharing Monthly Musings for September. My favorite Fall tradition? My favorite things about fall is decorating as well as all the fall candles. And of course cheering on our Auburn Tigers. My favorite Halloween tradition? I am just not a big fan of Halloween itself. My kids always enjoyed dressing up and really enjoyed giving out candy more than trick or treating itself. I was a Pinterest mom before there was Pinterest! LOL! What will Halloween look like for this year for you and your family? If trick or treating is allowed, I’m sure Alex will put a…

iPHONE PICS & GOINGS ON Last Sunday Rob, Kayleigh, and I rode out to where our Boy Scout troop will start meeting. With COVID our troop has had very little activity. We could have met at a public park, but we have seen some much COVID shaming and strangers posting pictures of kids not wearing masks. We didn’t want to have to deal with any thing like that, so we are lucky to find a private outdoor area where we don’t have to worry about being judged. Anyway, this was the sunset view we saw as we left that night.…

My brain…is just. I dunno. I thought I posted this, but apparently didn’t! Here’s my weekly post from last week. iPHONE PICS & GOINGS ON Saturday Drew came over and hung out with us and watch baseball and football with Rob. Caitlyn ended up coming over for dinner and Rob made his Chicken & Sausage Bowties. I also pulled out the wine we got on our day trip to St. Augustine because I promised Drew we’d not drink it without him. I finally got a bag of soil so I could start lettuce and spinach seeds like this. Growing Salad…

I’m continuing on with posts about Drew’s graduation weekend. This should be the final post from that fun weekend. Saturday we were up bright and early to get to Jordan-Hare. When we were done there we went home to change clothes and load up the cars to head out to Beauregard, where my in-laws hosted the family party for Drew. Friday night the water slide was delivered. Rob’s mom and step dad as well as his sister and our nieces did a great job of setting up and decorating for the party. Drew and I went to get the chicken…

Another week down. This last week the weather teased us a bit with a couple mornings/evenings that weren’t so humid and we felt a tinge of coolness in the air. I cannot wait for real fall weather! iPHONE PICS & GOINGS ON Rob and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary, by going out to our favorite steak restaurant in town, Big Mike’s. I love this sour beer. Drew is working for Alabama Rural Ministry (ARM) as a communications intern. He’s also helping with construction jobs when they don’t have enough volunteers. He gets to work along side another Drew, who…

I wasn’t sure what call this post, because it wasn’t technically a commencement for Drew. However, its as a close as we’re gonna get to a ceremony. He got all dressed up (for pics mainly) and wore his cap and gown. We got to go into the stadium and he got his name up on the big screen in Jordan Hare stadium, which does not happen during a normal commencement. Watch as he soaks it all in and gets to the center where they call his name. No one to greet him or give him a folder with the Auburn…

This month I was happy about: Drew graduating even if there wasn’t a true commencement (post coming soon). This month I was sad about: just how badly people treat people. (case in point – scroll down to the Thoughts section) Here’s my rating system: ♥ ♥ = Love it! A must read/see! ♥ = Really good! Highly recommend. ✓ ✓ = Good, not great ✓ = Not much to talk about X = Awful. Total waste of time Movies I watched were: Didn’t watch any. Although, I really do wanna watch The Lost Husband. TV Shows I watched were: One…

For those that may not have seen recent posts, my older son, Drew graduated from Auburn University earlier this month with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration (Marketing). I’m finally able to sit down and start writing these graduation weekend posts! The first party was Friday night we had a come and go (physical distance – but not really) party out in the front yard of our house for anyone wishing to come by and wish Drew congratulations. It was hot, but we survived. Here’s the set up. For food, since COVID we just did prepackaged snacks as you…

Another month done. I’m ready for cooler weather and football. I’m just praying nothing happens and they don’t cancel SEC football this fall. We’re ready to kick off Sept. 26th! I sure hope the temps start getting cooler. Anyway, I’m once again linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday to recap some goings-on from August. What We’re Eating Honestly this last month, I’ve slacked on my menu planning. I had the hopes of just trying to use up stuff in the freezer, which I’ve done a little bit. I need to just take an inventory of what…

iPHONE PICS & GOINGS ON Last Sunday we went over to the in-law’s so Rob could help his step dad with our truck that is over there. Alex and I hung out. We brought Kayleigh, because she always has fun hanging out with the dogs there. Here she is with Katara. Big Boy was laying in the barn and for a second I thought he was dead because he was laying so still. I walked over and saw that he was breathing and right after I took this pic he rolled over and looked at me. Saturday, Rob and…

iPHONE PICS & GOINGS ON Alex started school on Monday traditionally! Here he is before he drove off to school. I was finally able to get a pic of Kayleigh with the Snapchat filter. Since Drew moved out, Alex was able to move over into his larger bedroom. No pics of that yet. I’ll show pics once he finished organizing stuff. So with Alex moving out of his room, that opened up the room for Rob to make an office as well as have an empty room for guests to stay in. We went shopping Saturday to get desk. Here…

So I’m a few days behind posting my Weekly post, which usually comes out Sundays or Mondays, but this last weekend was busy with all the grad stuff. I’ll post about that as soon as work slows down. iPHONE PICS & GOINGS ON I took my nieces shopping for a back to school outfit and they love their Starbucks! Just keepin’ it real, folks. My office is a rat hole right now. I’ll get it clean…not soon enough! This kind of mess gets under my skin, but I just don’t have the energy or the time to clean it up.…

It’s time for another currently post. choosing I am choosing to try very hard not worry, but then I worry about not worrying. It’s a struggle. I think so many of see and hear things, whether it be on social media or on the news with all this COVID stuff. “Schools not going to open when it supposed to.” “There’s not going to be any college football.” “So and so has COVID.” It just goes on and on and that brings us stress and worry. A couple days ago I finally deleted my Facebook app on my phone, because I…

PICS & GOINGS ON When I looked at all my pics on my phone for this last week, they were almost all from the garden! With it being the end of month last week, I updated you with most everything that happened last week in those posts. So here’s what happened in the garden last week… My Dr. Wyche’s Yellow Tomato is blushing/ripening/changing color. I’m so excited! This was on Wednesday. On Saturday, it was fully ripened and ready to pick! Drew and I ate some on our hamburgers this past weekend and oh boy! were they good. Much sweeter…

This month I was happy about: getting slicer tomatoes to fully ripe! Just so exciting! This month I was sad about: having terrible poison ivy. I talked about that here. This year I’m going to rate the books & movies. Here’s my rating system: ♥ ♥ = Love it! A must read/see! ♥ = Really good! Highly recommend. ✓ ✓ = Good, not great ✓ = Not much to talk about X = Awful. Total waste of time Movies I watched were: Don’t think we watched any movies. TV Shows I watched were: The Baker and the Beauty (ABC) ♥…

I’m honestly not even sure where to start with this garden post, since I haven’t done a great job of documenting it here all along. I know I’ve mentioned it a lot the last few months. To start off I’d like to say that this garden would not have been a thing if it weren’t for Jess at Roots & Refuge Farm and her Youtube channel. I started watching her about a year and half ago, I think it was when another Youtuber/Blogger friend, Constance from Cosmopolitan Cornbread mentioned her. Jess and her hubby who she lovingly calls ‘Sweet Miah’…

Today I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday. What We’re Eating I made these Spicy Bacon Wrapped Pineapple Bites. What a nice yummy, easy treat to make! One of my go tos over this time of COVID has been the Frontera Fajitas. Super easy and good! What I’m Reminiscing About I’ve been thinking about when life was ‘normal.’ I am so over everything being up in the air and things getting canceled/postponed. What I’m Loving I am relishing the last few weeks with Andrew living under my roof. I’m enjoying any little bit of time we…

Last week I shared the 1st part of our St. Trip with you. Click to read that>>>>St. Simons Island Trip-Part 1 Today’s post covers the 2nd half of the trip from Wednesday through Saturday when we head home. Wednesday So after a pretty tiring day in Savannah, on Wednesday we decided to stick around St. Simons. Rob and I ventured out while the boys stayed back at the condo. We stopped by Gascoigne Bluff Park. As you can see this is another gorgeous spot with Live Oaks and Spanish Moss. What you don’t see in the pic is the 9…
