Fall Food Bucket List

By | October 8, 2020

Raise your hand if fall is your favorite season. Raise your hand if you are in a cooking rut like me. My friend, Leslie over at Once Upon a Time Happily Ever After asked me like a month ago to join in on the Autumn Bucket List fun. I finally had some time recently to think more about fall and really just the fact that we’re still in COVID season, too and what would be better than making a regular bucket list, but making a fall food bucket list! And that’s what I did!

Here’s a list of 22 fall foods that I want to make. So many of us have traditions for this time of year. Carving a pumpkin, decorating, dressing up for Halloween. How many of you have fall food traditions? I can honestly say, I’ve never gotten in a groove of making anything in particular each year during these fall months. Yeah, some years, I’ll make Homemade Cinnamon Applesauce in the Crockpot or Nutella Pumpkin Bites, but there’s just not much of anything I make every year just for fall.

I want to change that so here is my list of things I want to make and decide which ones my family and I really love of make them traditions. Who’s with me? What do you want to try this year?

Oh yummy! We do make apple crisp and apple pie each fall. But other than that and a pretty traditional thanksgiving dinner I don’t know that I have seasonal recipes either. I mean I cook chili and crock pot stews/meals more often in fall and we eat way less grilled foods and pasta salads than summer but I don’t really think of that as “seasonal.” I may just steal this idea and do up a post this week about some recipes I’ve been thinking about making these next few weeks & months. Pinned!
