    Wedding

    This post will cover the wedding ceremony, social hour, and reception. In case you missed what happened the rest of the day you can read about that here>>>Pre-Wedding Day Wedding Ceremony The ceremony was just so special. I always find it so bizarre how wedding ceremonies are often like 5 or 10 minutes. There’s was about 40 minutes. He later told me he was getting emotional with the bridal party walking down the aisle and “Marry Me” (by Train) being played by the string quartet. Sweetest moment – Drew and Caitlyn did not see each other before the wedding, so…

    Pre-Wedding Day

    As I worked on this wedding day post, I realized it was going to be really long with tons of pics from my and other’s cellphones. I have since divided it into 2 different posts to keep it a little shorter. I posted this pic on FB really early on Saturday morning. I had actually woke up at 3am and ended up getting up at 3:30. I just kept thinking about all I had to do and just decided to go ahead and get up to glue twine on the back of the pew flowers. I didn’t realize we had…

    Friday – Wedding Week

    Friday was wedding eve!! Still so much to do, but Rob and I were ready to hit the ground running. We went over to Walmart to get labels for the water bottles for social hour. I had taken all the plastic labels off, because they are just an eye sore and I had planned to have the bottles on the tables. We realized there was a little bit of the sticky stuff on the bottles and we knew we needed to cover that. We printed the wedding logo on the labels and had my mother-in-law stick the labels on. We…

    Thursday – Wedding Week

    Thursday, Rob and I got up and put the table seating sign together. We had it designed where the tables could be updated and switched out, because you know there is always people can’t come at the last minute. However, by Thursday there wasn’t going to be time to update and reprint the table sheets. It was going to be that way even if more people couldn’t come. After that on our schedule was to go get the tea and put it in the fridge at the church. We ended up at Kroger. From there, it was time to deliver…

    Wednesday – Wedding Week

    I’m doing a day by day recap for part of Wedding Week. So here we go… Wednesday, I only worked for a couple hours. I was feeling overwhelmed at all I had left to do before Thursday, which was the day we were set to start decorating the reception hall. Alex came over that afternoon to meet up with one of the grooms men’s mom who was dropping stuff off for the lake house, which is where Drew, and Alex and several of the grooms men were going that night for the bachelor party Wednesday and Thursday. We also cleared…

    Week 7::2023

    Feb. 13-19, 2023 happenings!! Monday Chili morning and cool milage number I landed on. Rob and I were frantically trying to get people to RSVP for the wedding so we could place the order for food for the reception. Tuesday Lunch at Moe’s BBQ I think I’ve said this recently, but the sunset skies have been spectacular lately. Wednesday I went to bed Tuesday night feeling like I was getting sick, so when I woke up Wednesday morning with a terrible sore throat and a pounding headache I knew I was in for a rough couple days. However, with wedding…

    Week 6::2023

    Here’s my (Feb. 6-12, 2023) highlights. Tuesday Tuesday during lunch, I had to run across campus for the Auburn ‘made’ honey for the welcome gift bags for hotel guest. Thursday Thursday morning we woke up to a weird color in the sky that casted down on everything. I tried to get a picture of it. You can kind of see there’s a oranginess to everything. It’s that weirdness you see sometimes before a storm rolls through. I’ve been feeling super lethargic and just more tired than usual. I’ve also felt like my blood pressure has been running high, but its…

My neighbor across the street was like you must be Amazon’s favorite customer. I was like, well we got a wedding coming up so that’s what all this is for. Katniss hasn’t laid on my bed in awhile, but she made her way back to her spot early this week. Wednesday Alex and Madison came to hang out before they went to the basketball game. Thursday Alex and Madison came over to hang out with me.…

    Week 4::2023

    Hey yall! Here’s my (Jan. 23-30, 2023) highlights… Monday, Rob and I took a day to go to Montgomery to see my Fibromaylgia doctor. He was so happy with my how my health journey has gone since the last visit. Exercise, less sugar, less gluten, less carbs. He told me to go tell all my friends that this is key to being healthy not meds. He had them draw blood to check electrolytes and a couple other things. After my appointment we went to brunch at the Bubbly Hen I got the 3 meat Fritata with asparagus. Rob got the…

    Week 3::2023

    With last week (Jan. 16-22, 2023) starting off with a holiday on Monday, those weeks often are the slowest weeks ever. I was happy that it seemed more normal and didn’t drag and drag. Our week started off with having the day off. Rob, Caitlyn, and I met at Amsterdam Cafe for our tasting. This where we’re having the rehearsal dinner. We’ve eaten there many times, but they offered this to help us determine what exactly we want to offer that night. We tried the salmon dip, fillet mignon, Rosemary fingerling potatoes, pork chop, and bread pudding. The sky one…

    Carnival Glory:Day 6:Cozumel

    Today, we’re continuing to share about our Back 2 Back cruises. Day 6 was the last port of call day for that 1st cruise. We’ve been to Cozumel several times as its a popular port of call. We weren’t scheduled to be able to get off the ship until 10am. This has it’s pros and cons. Nice to sleep in a little bit. Bad because more people are up later and lines for breakfast and getting off ship can be longer. We were able to get some breakfast at the buffet. We always try to have our stuff with us…

    Carnival Glory:Day 5:Grand Cayman

    Writing about a 2 week vacation is daunting! Especially when you’re trying to do it 6 months after the fact. Luckily I have a few notes from each day jaunted down during the trip to help me remember some of the details. Let’s jump into Day 4 of our Back to Back Cruise on the Carnival Glory. We arrived at our docking location near George Town, Grand Cayman. The thing about this port is you don’t dock next to the island. You dock a ways out and have to get on a tender boat that brings you to shore. Then,…

    Week 2::2023

    I can’t decide if January is flying by or not. Here we are for Week 2 highlights (Jan. 9-15, 2023). At work we usually do a yearly department photo around Christmas, but we all had differing schedules. We ended up having to do the Monday we came back to work after being off 2 weeks. I showed up in a tshirt and sweatpants, because I forgot. At lunch I went home and got picture ready. My Sunday School class (which we joined at last fall) tries to do a monthly Women’s dinner. We went to El Ranchero. It was a…

    Week 1::2023

    I have wanted to get back to writing weekly posts for quite awhile now. I just haven’t been able to put that routine back into place. As mentioned before, I’ve been super occupied with wedding planning and life in general, so I haven’t been able to sit down and think about how I want to write these each week. I’ve also wanted to set long and short term goals, but honestly I can’t really wrap my brain around all that till after this wedding. So for now here are the highlights of the 1st week (Jan. 1-9th). We started the…

    Monthly Digest – December 2022

    LIFE Happenings So December is always a busy time, but this December was even more action packed that I would prefer. Started off with a mammogram. Love the cute, pink shirts they have instead of the typical hospital gown. We have a new branch hospital in Auburn, which is where they have the Breast Health Center. This is where they do mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsies, etc. I was very happy to get an clear letter in the mail the week after. Rob, his brother, Nick, and I went to the Gouge Performing Arts Center to see Post Modern Jukebox (PMJ). This…

    Travel Summary 2022

    We did a good amount of traveling this year. I included all the vacations and travels for whatever reason. January Rob and Alex went on the Annual Boy Scout Ski trip in Gatlinburg, TN February Rob, Alex, and I attended the Annual Winter Youth Retreat. I decided that since Alex graduated and will no longer be attending this, I will not be an adult leader anymore. Rob loves it so much and will continue to serve. March Rob and I went on a cruise with his Mom and Step Dad on the Carnival Horizon. April Rob, his brother Nick, Alex,…
