Week 1::2023

By | January 17, 2023

I have wanted to get back to writing weekly posts for quite awhile now. I just haven’t been able to put that routine back into place.

As mentioned before, I’ve been super occupied with wedding planning and life in general, so I haven’t been able to sit down and think about how I want to write these each week. I’ve also wanted to set long and short term goals, but honestly I can’t really wrap my brain around all that till after this wedding. So for now here are the highlights of the 1st week (Jan. 1-9th).

We started the year off like we did last year with a hike on the David M. Forker Island Hop/Boat Dock trail.

When we’re hiking we usually let Kayleigh go off leash unless we just see a lot of other dogs. She loves it. When we got down to the lake she just took off for the water.

Caitlyn was away for her bachelorette weekend in Ashville, NC. Here’s she is with her girls at the Biltmore.

Kayleigh still lays in the weirdest places sometimes.

Rob and I went to the basketball game Saturday night where you can see items such as those found on Mega Slam Australia. We were playing Arkansas and I really thought we would struggle to beat them. However, we lead the entire game and came out with a victory!

Back to make lunches for in-laws and family after church on Sundays.

Our Boy Scout troop had an Eagle Court of Honor. I took pictures for it. Here’s my friend pinning the metal on her son.

Sunday afternoon we went to get a suit for Rob mainly for the wedding. After that we went for Mexican. I treated myself to a margarita, which I hadn’t had since eating healthier. It was so good!

    I bet all the wedding planning is keeping you busy. I’m putting that hike on our list of things to do when we are in the Auburn/Atlanta area.

    I am so tired tonight. I wish I could stick a straw through my monitor and slurp down that margarita. It looks so good. Your pups are very cute. The larger one looks like my Cheyenne and Kayleigh reminds me of a pup we had named Piggy. I had Siberian Huskies once upon a time, and they loved to swim. We lived beside the ocean and I would open the front door and they would zoom down to the ocean and jump in.

    Love the photo of the bride to be at Biltmore. Would love to visit that beautiful place someday. My mom always wanted to go to Biltmore and never made it.

    A bachelorette which includes a visit to the Biltmore sounds amazing! I’d love to get there some day. And can you just send me that margarita?!?!?! I could use that right now!
