It’s time again for another Sentence a Day. Last month, I stuck with an actual sentence. This time I just wrote what I wanted to write, so this month’s a little more lengthy. 1 – Monday – Alex at home till the 10th bc of COVID exposure. He started Webex classes and staying quarantined to his room. He’s got a sore throat and headache. 2 – Tuesday – Took Alex to AU Medical for 2nd test. I totally thought it was going to come back negative as my thinking was that he has something vital. However we got a call…

This month I was happy about: Just still loving being able to work from home the majority of the time. I know this will end in the coming months, so I’m relishing in it while I can. This month I was sad about: This month has been pretty stressful. My anxiety has been probably as worse as it’s ever been. I’m finding it harder to be out in public or in certain situations and I know it’s because of COVID. I’m not sure I want to try some anxiety meds, but I might ask my doctor. Here’s my rating system…

It’s once a gain rolling down to the end of another month! The older I get the more time flies…That’s kinda scary! Today I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday. What We’re Eating I found more steaks in the back of the freezer earlier this month and since it was cold and dreary outside, I encouraged Rob to try cooking them inside instead of out on the grill. I guess some of you folks call that a BBQ. Down here in the south we BBQ is a meat you eat not a way of cooking. Anyway,…

Hey ya’ll! Last week I mentioned I was thinking of renaming my “The Weekly” posts. I had thought about calling them “Life Lately” or something like that. But for now I think I’m just going to use the Week # and the year. Simple and to the point. And who knows I may end up changing it again. Monday Rob and Drew have been so anxious to see how many season tickets people would be allowed to purchase. We got an email a couple weeks ago that they would only allowed 20% capacity, which is really total overkill in my…

I’ve really done a bad job of keeping up with my ‘the weekly’ posts lately. I’m thinking about changing what they’re called because they’ve kind of morphed from what these posts are supposed to be. Plus when I went to start this post, I thought I was a week behind. Turns out, I’m 3 weeks behind. *eyeroll!* So let’s jump back to the week of Jan. 25th… Rob helped me set up my new phone and I’m still getting used to the way a 12 works differently than a 7. This was the week Rob was having really bad muscle…

/loving/ I had to send some stuff back that I got for Christmas and while looking at these to get to replace them, I found this super cute shirt. It’s really soft and comfy. I want it in all the colors and varieties. Womens Vneck Casual Comfort Cotton Blouses /reading/ I got a book called The Songs of Jesus: A Year of Daily Devotions in the Psalms for Christmas and did good reading it for a few days, but then it was time to get back to work and all my holiday routines went out the window. I’m going to…

This last year several of my blogging buddies have been doing a post called Sentence a Day where you write down a sentence to sum up your day. Now I love how Leslie from Once Upon a Time and Happily Ever After says “one run-on sentence a day.” If only I had known we could cheat like that 😉 I have a feeling like mine may be more like that for February! 1 – Drew tested positive for COVID and Caitlyn started January symptoms later in the day. 2 – Nice lazy day of bowl game watching and lots of…

Yall, I don’t know even know what happened last week. I realized over the weekend that today is the yesterday of January which means I should have written and posted this post last Wednesday! Ooops!! Linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday. What We’re Eating Earlier in January, Rob cooked some steaks out on the grill and tried the Bobby Flay method and they were really yummy. We also did some New Orleans BBQ Shrimp. I did a new stir-fry in sheet pan with fried rice that was the best I’ve ever made. I need to try…

Today I’m linking up for Monthly Musings for December with Patty & Holly. 1. How do I show love? What is my love language? I show my love through actions, gift giving, and service. My love language is service. Doing the dishes or doing something around the house are my favorite! 2. Any fun Valentine traditions? Rob and I really don’t any Valentine’s Day traditions. We play each Valentine’s day by ear depending on what day of the week it hits on or what else is going on. 3. Favorite Valentine Memory/ies? This one is pretty funny>>>Valentine’s Gift Gone Wrong…

Hey yall! Today I’m excited to be linking up with good ol’ blog friend, Leslie and my new blog friend, Carrie. They are starting a new series called from Texas with Love. I’m not sure if they really only want Texans linking up, but regardless I thought it would be a fun post to write. The theme for January is All About You – (re)introduce yourself to your readers. This post has given me several ideas for upcoming posts, so that’s always a good thing. Where are you from? I am from Richland Hills, Texas, which is about 9 miles…

Hey yall! How was your weekend? Mine was good…for the most part. We celebrated Drew’s 23rd birthday. Man, as I type that, it makes me feel old. How am I old enough to have a kid that age?! I’m changing my “The Weekly” posts to run Monday-Sunday instead of Sunday-Saturday, but this week is my transition so this one runs Sunday-Sunday. I have wanted to do that for some time because that way I have the entire weekend in 1 post not splitting Sunday off from it, which I don’t prefer. Anyway, let’s jump in to last week! PICS &…

Hey yall! Well we’re already a month into Winter and here I am just now posting some lists for Winter. That’s ok. We still have about 2 months left of winter. Today I’m going to recap a few things I made from my Fall Food Bucket List and then list off recipes/foods to try during Winter! Fall Food List Recap I had a lot of lofty goals when I made my Fall Food List! Here’s the few things that I did make with links for anything that I have posted about. — Apple Walnut Oatmeal Muffins — I tried these…

I know I keep saying it, but man, this year has been so busy so far. How are we already more than half way done with January? I was looking back to see when my last “The Weekly” post was, which was from back in December! My iPhone camera is dying and so I have quit taking pictures with it. I’m supposed to be getting a new phone through my work, but there’s some type of delay with it. Anyway, so this post usually includes pics from my iPhone. Although the last several months, most pics are from one of…

/beginning/ the new year with some goals that I’m actually still formulating. I hope to post those soon. I’ve also decided to begin doing the Sentence a Day post each month. In case you missed it, I’m also beginning a new photo challenge that you can read about here>>>> iSpy Photo Challenge /feeling/ relieved. Yesterday I had to do an diagnostic ultrasound because I had detected something before my last mammogram. The ultrasound showed ‘nothing of concern.’ Hallelujah! /organizing/ my thoughts, hopes, and desires for the New Year. This kind of goes along with my goal setting. I love the…

So I did this post back in 2011! Cannot believe it’s been that long and really, I thought I had done this post more than once. I got the idea from Ashley’s blog, which is no longer updated. See the bottom of the post for the ‘rules.’ 1. Me! 2020 has held lots of ups and downs for everybody including myself. I’m happy to have made it through the year without getting COVID (knock on wood) and having a good year working from home 9 out of 12 months. It’s pretty difficult to be a supervisor when you’re not in…

This month I was happy about: Christmas of course! Time off work. More time with Drew & Caitlyn. This month I was sad about: just trying not to be sad this month. Here’s my rating system for entertainment: ♥ ♥ = Love it! A must read/see! ♥ = Really good! Highly recommend. ✓ ✓ = Good, not great ✓ = Not much to talk about X = Awful. Total waste of time Movies I watched were: Fred Claus ✓ ✓ Elf ♥ Babes in Toyland ✓ ✓ Christmas Vacation ♥ ♥ TV Shows I watched were: Brothers and Sisters (ABC…

Happy New Year! I’ve seen so many people saying how they can’t wait till 2021 and how they seem think that with the flip of the calendar year that everything will be back to “normal.” While I hope that this year is much better than last year and we can slowly start to return to some normalcy with the vaccine getting more and more available as the year goes on, I don’t think that today is just going to all of sudden have everything ‘perfect!’ Am I the only one who is being ‘real’ about this? I haven’t had a…

On Christmas Day, we got kind of a late start. Rob and I were up till pretty late. We did are normal preheating the oven, got dressed, and got ready. Drew and Caitlyn came over. We practically had to drag the teenager, Alex, out of the bed. We ate our traditional breakfast of Sausage Balls and Apple Dumplins, which was all amazing. We opened stockings before eating breakfast. Santa was generous this year with several gift cards and card games. The boys both got The Office Uno. The Grinch made an appearance again this year and he brought Max along.…

With it being the last Wednesday of the month, it’s time to link up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday. What We’re Eating We didn’t have a lot of pasta left from Christmas day, but we did have a lot of our meal from Christmas Eve so we’ve been eating that. What I’m Reminiscing About I’m thinking back to Christmas Day. It was a little odd, but still good. I am out of town so I haven’t had a chance to finish my Christmas post, but I will get that up soon. What I’m Loving I’m loving all…
