So this is how Week 33 (August 16-22, 2021) got started…a parking ticket while at work! Lovely! Let me back up and just say this last week was…Wow so many ways to describe this last week. The weekend going into last week, I wasn’t feeling well and with the week being super important, I had no time to have this sinus infection. I had a scratchy throat, congestion, headache (face felt swollen like when you have a sinus infection), terrible body aches. Sunday night I found a bottle of antibiotics that I never took, so I decided that I would…

Today I’m talking about Week 31 and boy what a week it was! August 2nd-8th, 2021. Still can’t believe its August already! This week most of what I’m sharing is about Drew’s girlfriend, Caitlyn. Tuesday – August 3rd Tuesday morning, I got up and met Caitlyn so we could take her grad pics. We got out there I pulled out my big camera and started to take a shot. “no SD card” popped up on the screen! AHGHGH! I hardly ever take my SD card out, but I did recently help Rob figure something out with another SD card and…

I had discontinued doing these Weekly update posts because since I was doing the Sentence-A-Day posts at the end of month, I felt like it was kind of repetitive. However, I have a hard time keeping up with the sentences and just felt that wasn’t the best way to share what goes on. I’m going to be going through an catching up with my weekly posts, because I like to be able to refer back to them. So today I’m starting with last week’s post which was for July 19-25, 2021. Monday – July 19th Drew actually started his job…

I kept seeing everyone’s Currently post and I was like “Yeah, I did that post already. Turns out I was thinking of my June Currently post” *eye roll* /eating/ I have mentioned numerous time over the last several months that I’m just in a food slump. Not in the mood to cook or really eat for that matter. I just get tired of always thinking about what to eat and I’m never really in the mood to cook. So I decided to give Blue Apron a try. I get my first shipment next Friday. I hope to share the meals…

Week 26, which means we’re officially half way done with the year! This week is June 28-July 4, 2021. Early in the week there wasn’t too much excitement, well except for Tuesday night when Drew and Caitlyn showed up at like 8pm or something to tell us the good news. Drew got a big boy job! So exciting. No pics to show of that occasion. Wednesday we headed out for vacation>>>North Georgia Mountain Trip Sunday – July 4th While we were still out of town Drew and Caitlyn who couldn’t come with us due to conflicting schedule, they were able…

1 / Tuesday – Met Rob and Alex for lunch at Beyond the Wok. Neighborhood turkey – Not sure where this turkey lives or if he just hangs out in our neighborhood. He shows up every few weeks and just struts around. 2 / Wednesday – First time PT for Alex this morning. 3 / Thursday – This morning while heading into work, I noticed this squirrel had a huge piece of food. Looked like a piece of a bun. This picture doesn’t do this justice. I couldn’t get close enough. 4 / Friday – Alex got his 1st vaccine.…

This month I was happy about: good new from Drew, which I talk about later in the post! This month I was sad about: I have been sad about a family member that is going through a tough time, but things seem to be a bit better as of now. I decided to change my rating system to the simple stars rating that are pretty self explanatory. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Movies I watched were: 2 Hearts (Netflix) – ★ ★ ★ – really slow moving Safe Haven (Netflix) – rewatched ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TV Shows I…

Today I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday. What We’re Eating Still not a lot of cooking, but I made a Chicken and Broccoli One Pot Pasta meal while Rob was out of town and it was so good! What I’m Reminiscing About Just thinking back to all the great travels that usually happen end of June most years, like our trip to the West Coast back in 2016. What I’m Loving Drew, Alex, and I played

I’m working hard to get caught up on all my end of month/beginning of the month posts. I just can’t seem to get in a good routine of blogging. And if I’m being totally honest, I’m in a blogging rut. I honestly need a break, but when I take a break that makes me feel so behind and this is my memory book. Such a conundrum! 😀 celebrating Not wearing a mask as of June 1st! Hallelujah! collecting Ideas for our 4th of July trip to the North Georgia Mountains like we used to do. Here’s some posts: 2010 /…

I’m actually so late posting this that I missed the deadline to link up to Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday, but better late than never! What We’re Eating Lasagna I’m still in a cooking rut and I’m sorta trying to eat healthier which makes things more difficult. Blah! What I’m Reminiscing About back in 2016 right before Drew graduated and his last Disney Dinner Theater. What I’m Loving I’ve been in weird mood, but lately Arby’s roast beef has been my go to fast food when I need a really quick lunch. What We’ve Been Up To Just…

Trying to catch up! I just realized we’re in a new month already. I don’t know what it is about the last week of nearly every month, but they seem to be nonexistent. They fly by in the blink of an eye and just when I think I might actually get ahead of the game that’s the week that disappears and once again I’m behind. Anyway, I’m going to try and get my end of month posts up as soon as I can! Here’s the weekly posts from the last 2 weeks, May 17th-30th, 2021! Rob and I ate at…

We were so happy to be able to go to the lake this year for Memorial Day. We raced out to lake trying to beat the rain. We camp out at the lake so we were anxious to get everything set up. We ended up getting the big tent up just enough so we could stand under it before it started really pouring down. The rain let off enough so we could get our sleeping tent set up, and we knew there were holes in the rainfly. We usually get so lucky with rain so we’ve never had the reality…

Today I’m sharing an amazing new product just in time for summer! Tesalate makes both beach and workout towels. I was sent a beach towel to try out and share with you. Over the Memorial Day weekend, I had my son Drew try it out. Things we really liked about it: folds down for a very small and takes up less room in my swim bag fast drying super absorbent soft light weight I can’t wait to try this towel at the beach as one of the main features is that its sand-resistant fabric. How amazing! Another thoughtful touch is…
