Today’s post is showing a few quick highlights from August 9-15, 2021. This week was intercession at work, which means we’re in between semesters. Here is my work family minus our newest staff member, Cedric. Alex started his senior year! Rob and I went to eat at the new Whataburger in Opelika. It was so good! This Texas girl was so happy. It was a very full week of preparing for the new semester for me at work. Friday was my big day of training. Although only 9 of my 14 new hires were able to come due to Rush…

Today I’m talking about Week 31 and boy what a week it was! August 2nd-8th, 2021. Still can’t believe its August already! This week most of what I’m sharing is about Drew’s girlfriend, Caitlyn. Tuesday – August 3rd Tuesday morning, I got up and met Caitlyn so we could take her grad pics. We got out there I pulled out my big camera and started to take a shot. “no SD card” popped up on the screen! AHGHGH! I hardly ever take my SD card out, but I did recently help Rob figure something out with another SD card and…

Week 30 was July 26, 2021 through August 1, 2021. Happy August everyone! Wednesday – July 28th Caitlyn finished off her last day at the library working as Graduate Assistant. What a blessing to get to work and have your grad school paid for as well as have a stipend to pay bills with. Thursday – July 29th We have been enjoying the new Chick-fil-a. Trying to go as much as possible before the craziness that happens when all the college students move back into town. Friday – July 30th Friday, Drew called the U-Haul place to make sure everything…

I had discontinued doing these Weekly update posts because since I was doing the Sentence-A-Day posts at the end of month, I felt like it was kind of repetitive. However, I have a hard time keeping up with the sentences and just felt that wasn’t the best way to share what goes on. I’m going to be going through an catching up with my weekly posts, because I like to be able to refer back to them. So today I’m starting with last week’s post which was for July 19-25, 2021. Monday – July 19th Drew actually started his job…

Every week that flies by I just can’t believe how fast time seems to go by. I saw this quote recently and just loved it. It was a bit of comfort for those time when I feel like time is just slipping though my fingers so quickly. Today I’m sharing life’s happenings for Week 28, which is July 12-18, 2021 Monday – July 12th This bar area in the kitchen is such a clutter magnet. Tuesday – July 13th Rob and I ate lunch downtown. While I walking back to work this guy was eating lunch as I came around…

Week 27 started with us finishing off our vacation on July 5, 2021 and ended July 11, 2021 Monday – July 5th When we got back into town from vacation, we unloaded the car and drove out to Beauregard to see Rob’s sister, Jill and her fam. Here’s a pic of the Grandparents (Rob’s Mom and Step Dad) with all the Grands! 2 + 6 + 1 Free piggy back rides? Saturday – July 7th Little tomato harvest Look at this really cool squash that I will use for fall decor if it doesn’t go bad before then. Sunday –…

Week 26, which means we’re officially half way done with the year! This week is June 28-July 4, 2021. Early in the week there wasn’t too much excitement, well except for Tuesday night when Drew and Caitlyn showed up at like 8pm or something to tell us the good news. Drew got a big boy job! So exciting. No pics to show of that occasion. Wednesday we headed out for vacation>>>North Georgia Mountain Trip Sunday – July 4th While we were still out of town Drew and Caitlyn who couldn’t come with us due to conflicting schedule, they were able…

Trying to catch up! I just realized we’re in a new month already. I don’t know what it is about the last week of nearly every month, but they seem to be nonexistent. They fly by in the blink of an eye and just when I think I might actually get ahead of the game that’s the week that disappears and once again I’m behind. Anyway, I’m going to try and get my end of month posts up as soon as I can! Here’s the weekly posts from the last 2 weeks, May 17th-30th, 2021! Rob and I ate at…

Week 19 is May 10-16, 2021. Last week started off with our church having a “Welcome Home” event to bring every one back to reintroduce church activities and celebrate church reopening. There was a petting zoo with lots of cute animals. In the garden I planted some tomatoes using the no dig method, where you pile fresh compost up and plant seedlings. I went to TJMaxx and got Kayleigh a new toy. She loves new toys with squeakers inside. She disembowels them, quickly removing the squeaker only to have us pick it up and not letting her chew up that…

Week 18 was May 3-9, 2021. Another week of being in the office. I’m not missing being at home as much. Honestly too busy to have much time to ponder on it. 🙂 Here’s a few highlights from the week. Muddy girl! This girl loves to dig and stick her nose down the chipmunk holes. She is so funny. She won’t look at me because she knows I’m not happy with her. I’ve been wanting some new t-shirts. I think mainly working from home for the last year, I’ve been wearing mostly tshirts everyday. I have gotten tired of the…

Week 17 was April 26-May 2, 2021, which happened to be my week in the office. Getting home every afternoon, I collapsed in exhaustion at least for a bit. Then it’s up to cook dinner or do work in the garden. I still have so much to do in the garden. I’m actually way behind on planting, but I just haven’t wanted to fight the mosquitoes and really don’t have the energy. Anyway, on Thursday night, we went to the Korean BBQ place to celebrates Rob’s brother’s birthday. Unfortunately the restaurant was not a great experience. On another note, I…

Week 15 was April 12-18, 2021. I’m enjoying every day that I can while still working from home as I suspect that will be changing soon. Here’s some highlights of the week. Tuesday I brought Rob lunch at work and we sat outside near the pond behind his office. After work, I went outside to check on my newly transplanted tomato plants only to find that Kayleigh had dug some of them up and made a huge mess. Needless to say I was not happy. Wednesday Buster came to visit for the morning. He enjoyed laying on my warm heating…

Here’s a quick drop of a few photos from this last week. Kayleigh’s eyes looked different when she was taking a nap. On Saturday, we went to watch some of Rob’s D-group guys play lacross. It was an exciting game against Homewood and Auburn won! It was such a beautiful day. After the game, Rob and I went to El Patron for a late lunch. I had a yummy margarita and the Burrito Blanco with steak. Sunday Rob cooked pork chop surprises out on the grill. We also tried Asparagus on the grill. I wrapped in foil with soy sauce.…

Here’s this last weeks summary in pics. Week 13 is March 29-April 4, 2021. I was looking at my seedlings and saw this little curly Q and just couldn’t help but take a picture of it. Nature is amazing! And Kayleigh just has the funniest expressions. She tilts her head sometimes when she’s listening intently. Cracks me up. Pumpkin flower Messy work hair Date night at Hamilton’s Downtown. Here’s dessert – Irish Cream Crème Brûlée. We also had the Fried Green Tomatoes and Shrimp, which we have loved in the past. Wasn’t great this time. Don’t need to get it…

Here’s a run down of last week! It was a pretty busy and productive week. Monday Drew and Caitlyn and Buster came over. Drew and Rob made plans for the weekend. Tuesday Got my COVID shot #2! Got kind of a weird headache minutes after the injection. They do ask us to wait in the holding area for 15 minutes to make sure you don’t have a serious reaction. By the time my 15 minutes was up the headache was quite dull, so I went on with my day. These are the current signs on campus. Carpet was installed! No…

Hey ya’ll! Last week I mentioned I was thinking of renaming my “The Weekly” posts. I had thought about calling them “Life Lately” or something like that. But for now I think I’m just going to use the Week # and the year. Simple and to the point. And who knows I may end up changing it again. Monday Rob and Drew have been so anxious to see how many season tickets people would be allowed to purchase. We got an email a couple weeks ago that they would only allowed 20% capacity, which is really total overkill in my…

I’ve really done a bad job of keeping up with my ‘the weekly’ posts lately. I’m thinking about changing what they’re called because they’ve kind of morphed from what these posts are supposed to be. Plus when I went to start this post, I thought I was a week behind. Turns out, I’m 3 weeks behind. *eyeroll!* So let’s jump back to the week of Jan. 25th… Rob helped me set up my new phone and I’m still getting used to the way a 12 works differently than a 7. This was the week Rob was having really bad muscle…

Hey yall! How was your weekend? Mine was good…for the most part. We celebrated Drew’s 23rd birthday. Man, as I type that, it makes me feel old. How am I old enough to have a kid that age?! I’m changing my “The Weekly” posts to run Monday-Sunday instead of Sunday-Saturday, but this week is my transition so this one runs Sunday-Sunday. I have wanted to do that for some time because that way I have the entire weekend in 1 post not splitting Sunday off from it, which I don’t prefer. Anyway, let’s jump in to last week! PICS &…

I know I keep saying it, but man, this year has been so busy so far. How are we already more than half way done with January? I was looking back to see when my last “The Weekly” post was, which was from back in December! My iPhone camera is dying and so I have quit taking pictures with it. I’m supposed to be getting a new phone through my work, but there’s some type of delay with it. Anyway, so this post usually includes pics from my iPhone. Although the last several months, most pics are from one of…

I didn’t write a weekly post last week so I’m combining 2 weeks worth here. PICS & GOINGS ON Dec. 13th On Sunday, the 13th we attended our Boy Scout Court of Honor. You can read more about that >>>> December Court of Honor Dec. 18th Friday was our last day of work and school. I sent out a big box of goodies to my sis, mom, brother, and cousins. After that I went and got some wine and chocolate for a few of my friends and made special surprise deliveries to them. I came home and made a 4…
