Caitlyn (Drew’s girlfriend) started her career today as an Academic Advisor just across campus from me. So proud of her.     Here’s a few pics from this last week…January 24-30, 2022 One day this week, I got to work early and snapped this shot as I walked in.     Week 3 [2022]

    January has been the longest ever!! Ugh! This last week (January 17-23, 2022) was aggravating. It started off great. Alex and Rob got back on Monday from the ski trip in Gatlinburg. We knew going in this was a risky trip and many folks would come back and end up sick. On Tuesday we got report of a few of the boys testing positive for COVID.     Playing catch up from the last three weeks of the 2021 (December 13, 2021-January 2, 2022) Rob and I went to the Men’s Basketball game. Fun game! Friday the 17th we went with Rob’s sister and her family and some of their friends to a Christmas walk in the Woods at Kreher Preserve & Nature Center Here’s my niece afterwards. Sunday the 19th, we went and saw Voctave in concert at our church. If you ever have the opportunity see them, I highly recommend it!     Man, I can’t believe we’ve only got a few more weeks in the year! Here’s the run down for Nov. 29-Dec. 12, 2021. Still finding tomatoes in the garden! Alex has been enjoying doing puzzles in front of the tv. We went to the tree farm and it started pouring down when we got there. We waited it out and ended up getting a tree! Our tradition is to go eat Chinese afterwards. On top of Christmas decorating, shopping, baking, and all that go with this season, we’re preparing for our cruise.

    The week before Thanksgiving wasn’t too crazy. Look at this adorable Gnome I got from Walmart dot com by accident. Put it in my cart on the Walmart app and when I went to put my pickup order in I accidentally pressed buy from both carts or something.     Week 45 [2021] Kitchen Project Done!

    This last week I was happy to finally finish up this wall in our breakfast area that’s attached to the kitchen. If you remember, back in January we got this new sideboard table and when we moved the old microwave stand we discovered lots of wall issues! Here is how it’s looked since then.     Another week down! Here’s Week #42 which covers Oct. 18-24th, 2021. This last week was interesting. My blood sugar has run a tad high for the last few years. This week my doc had me try Metformin, but it made me feel terrible so I couldn’t continue that anymore. Thursday, I went to the dr to try the once a week shot called Ozempic.     Week 41! Can ya’ll believe its 9 weeks till Christmas? I’m not usually one that counts down, but I was just thinking about how far in the year we are already. Its crazy to think about. Here we got with Oct. 11-17th! My doc wanted me to try a new medicine for several health reasons, but the main one being slightly high blood sugar.     Last week was #38; September 20-26, 2021! Here’s some highlights… I love cooler temps in the mornings. Look at this really cool pumpkin and acorn squash. Kind of a funny story about the pumpkin. I order nearly all my groceries from Walmart pickup. Last year I had ordered an assortment bag of pumpkins and gourds. A couple weeks ago, I thought I had ordered the same thing. The next day we ended up going out to eat for dinner and called that our anniversary dinner. We ate at Bow & Arrow. So yummy! I got a couple new house plants that are kind of different.     This post is a quick highlights for Week 34 (August 23-29, 2021), which was my week two of COVID. Even though I spent probably about half of everyday in bed, I still tried to get up and sit up in the living room and go outside to check on the garden. There have been so many spiders and their monstrous webs. They seem to find every walk way or pass through. These are some of the tomato plants that are planted in the in-ground overflow garden area.
