Whether I was winding down with a cozy show, diving into a mind-bending story, or just letting a podcast play while I cleaned the kitchen, here’s what’s been on my screen (and in my ears) lately. Some hits, some surprises—definitely a few I can’t stop thinking about. + Our dining room table that was Rob’s gramma’s is always dressed. She always had the table pad and a table cloth on it. So it has hardly any imperfections on it. When we need to wash the table cloth, we pull the table pad off and let it ‘air out’ 🙂 + On Sunday lunch, my mother-in-law brought 2 of our nephews and a niece that she was babysitting. + Friday, Caitlyn and I did lunch at Hey Day Market. We both got tacos from Wild Child. Pretty good, but pricey!! + Eye appointments for me and Alex on…

    Weekend Highlights

    I got back from Texas on Wednesday, but has already put in for time off on Thursday and Friday as well. Thursday to recover and Friday to take Rob for another epidural. When I got home I was excited to see Rob had installed our new smart lock and new handle. Here’s the outside…we really need to replace the entire door. I have never been a fan of the red, but I guess haven’t cared that much since I’ve never painted it. And the inside Friday morning, I took Rob to the pain center for another neck epidural. Then, we…

    Week 25::2023 – Texas Trip

    On Saturday, the 17th I flew to DFW, rented a car, and drove a little over an hour to my sister’s house in Weatherford, TX. My sister was due to have a baby the week of June 16th. However, Baby Lu came a month early, so I had to adjust my plans for a visit. Luckily nothing was set in stone with my trip so I was able to do it over a holiday (Juneteenth) weekend. I’ve taken solo trips to Texas before but this was the first time to rent a car on my own. I will say I…
