If you missed the other posts from this trip you can look here>>>New York 2023 Trip. So today I’m talking about our 2 days at sea that sandwiched our day in Bermuda. Hoping to learn more about Bermuda…ended up being an hour of them just telling us about all the places to spend money that were right there at the port. They even discouraged leaving that port area (because there wouldn’t…

Day 6 was the last breakfast for Rob’s conference and then we got a tour of Montclair State University since that is where the conference was being hosted. So in my last weekly post, I referred to a “low” and all has been resolved with this so I can talk about it now. You know, owning a house is great until you have a major issue occur. Last year we had some drainage issues and we had a roto rooter type company come out and they ended up finding a broken line that goes out to the sewer. Some how they were able to clear it enough where our plumber told us, its good for now. You might be able to have it cleared a time or two…

This last Sunday we decided to go eat brunch at the restaurant that Alex works at called Vintage 2298, which is an upscale restaurant that is open for dinner every night except Tuesdays. They also have brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Alex had been saying we should come for brunch and he works during that time, so we made reservations. When we got there, they sat us at the table closest to the kitchen and everyone knew we were Alex’s parents. He came out and talked to us before he went back and prepared our meal. I got this picture…

Here we are for Day 5 of our New York/New Jersey trip. See all the posts from this trip here. On day 5 I decided to venture out for a little day trip while Rob was at his conference. I watched a few YouTube videos ahead of time and determined Frenchtown and Lambertville, NJ were cute little towns that I should go see. Frenchtown, NJ Frenchtown is a borough in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It is located along the banks of the Delaware River on the Hunterdon Plateau, 32 miles (51 km) northwest of the state capital of Trenton. As…

Today I’m sharing some of favorite YouTube channels lately (August & September) in no particular order. Someone recently asked how I watch so much YouTube and honestly, I’m not sure. I guess I’m not nearly as busy with no kids at home anymore. My typical afternoon routine after getting off work, which I usually get off around 3:30pm (when I don’t have a pottery class or Bible study) goes something like this: I run my errands (pick up groceries, go through the car wash, etc.) Come home and change clothes. Do my 35 minute walk and then take Kayleigh on…

Day 3 of our New York Trip was actually our 1st full day in New Jersey. That morning we got gas and quickly figured out that NJ is a state that you can’t pump your own gas. After a quick google search when writing this post, August of this year it’s actually the ONLY state where you can’t pump your own gas. source First stop was to drive over to Montville, NJ to drive by Rob’s grandparents old house and his great uncle’s old stomping grounds to take a few pictures. Then, we made a trip over to Wegmans in…

Happy Monday, yall! I feel like I blinked and the weekend was over. I’m tired this morning. Here we are for a double of my weekly highlights (Sept. 11-17 & 18-24). I don’t feel like the last 2 weeks have been that eventful at least that’s not what’s showing up on my iphone camera rolls. Alex and Madison came over to discuss a potential cruise at Christmas. The night before Alex had to go to the ER to get 4 stitches in his forehead from a shelf falling on him at work. He’s ok, but sitting in the ER for…

From there Rob found an Italian bakery not too far away, so we indulge in some amazing. After pasta the night before and then this yumminess…I was killing my normal eating routine, but…
