    Mountain West Trip: Roadtrip from Vernal, UT to Denver, CO

    Today we’re continuing on our Mountain West Trip that I’ve been sharing. Click >>> Mountain West Trip 2019 Posts to see more from this trip. As we drove through Vernal, I snapped a few more pics as we headed to Jenson, UT. Our first stop was Dinosaur National Monument. Since the boys are older, they weren’t super thrilled about it. I enjoyed it, because the teacher in me still geeks out over this kind of fun stuff. Exhibits at the Quarry Visitor Center introduce the variety of resources and places to explore within the monument. The Quarry Visitor Center is…

    Loving Life During Quarantine

    The other day I was thinking back through the last 11 weeks of ‘quarantine’ and all of the good that has come from this. Yes, there has been ups and down and scary times and unknown future for so many, I can’t dwell in the negative. My headspace needs to hover in positivity as much as possible. I believe it’s been. I have found so many blessings from having this time to slow down and just be. To enjoy family and enjoy doing these we don’t often take time to do. I want to remember this time so I’m sharing…

    Mountain West Trip: Roadtrip from Jackson, WY to Vernal, UT

    Today we’re continuing on our Mountain West Trip that I’ve been sharing. Click >>> Mountain West Trip 2019 Posts to see more about this trip. We got up, loaded the car, grabbed some hotel breakfast, and headed out for more open road! Not long after that we passed this sign that said Auburn, WY. Since we’re from Auburn, AL, we’re always interested when we see other states with towns called Auburn. It was hardly a town with a population of less that 400 people in the 2010 census. The first settlement in Auburn, WY was made in 1879. The bottom…

    Currently – June 2020

    It’s time for another Currently post! I’m feeling… drained, but trying my best not to let it get the best of me. I need be rejoicing in the fact that I’m still working from home and the flexibility that gives. I am excited that our new neighbors moved in this week. We haven’t met them yet, but I’m eager to meet them. I miss having neighbors that we can stand out in the yard and talk to. I hope these new people are nice like that. I’m wearing… nothing special! T-shirts and shorts. I’m buying… lots of random things, but…

    Mountain West Trip:Grand Tetons & Jackson Hole

    Today I’m continuing on with another post about our Mountain West Trip. If you remember we left off on our Part 2 from Yellowstone. That night we stayed at the Head Waters Lodge at Flagstaff. This was a cabin like room with all the amenities you need except TV and internet. We did have a little bit of a walk from our car to our cabin, but there are sidewalks and luggage carts to help you lug all your stuff to your cabin. After a very hard sleep, we woke up and loaded the car back up and walked over…

    Memories of the Month {5.2020}

    This month I was happy about: to be done with Kayleigh getting spayed. Now that her stitches out she is so happy to be able to run and play outside. A must read/see! ♥ = Really good! Highly recommend. ✓ ✓ = Good, not great ✓ = Not much to talk about X = Awful. Total waste of time Movies I watched were: Jerry Maguire…

    Today I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday. What We’re Eating Monday for Memorial Day we had ribs that we prepared and cooked ourselves. They turned out so good! Last Friday night, Drew cooked us dinner. We had Kabobs that were to die for with mac & cheese and baked beans. He’s quite the grillmaster! What I’m Reminiscing About I know this is what I said last month, but with summer upon us and the trips we should be about to go on, I’m reminiscing about our past vacays. Linking up with Momfessionals & a Little Bit of Everything Blog Here are my Friday Favs (5ish random things I’m loving right now) for this week…. Sometimes in my little head, I think surely things I follow or know about are known by everyone that’s interested in them. Then, I think what if I know something people don’t know about, but would find useful? Well, I’m trying to wrap my mind around that concept and I’m going to start sharing more. Sharing is caring! Not only for YOU, but also for the person who I’m sharing about, right? Well, I…

    Making the Most of Your Time at Home during COVID

    A couple weeks ago after watching church online, since we had everyone gathered around the TV in the living room, Rob brought up making a schedule for our family. Now each of us pretty much follow a daily schedule of our own to ensure we get things done, but when Rob and I stopped and thought about the weeks that had already gone by and the time that was ‘lost’ it made us realize we needed to do something. Now it wasn’t really lost, because I assume that we were all doing things we enjoyed whether it be together or…

    I had all the intentions of getting this post up yesterday, when every else did, but I got busy and actually never even looked at my To Do List. Do y’all ever do that? making I wrote an insta post last night about making cookies. Well really I’m not making them (from scratch), but I’m baking them from a tub. I would love to make some cookies from scratch, but honestly with preparing lunch and dinner almost every single day that’s enough! missing I miss being able to just go to Target, TJMaxx, Ross, or Hobby Lobby and stroll through…

This post is from the 1st half of our epic day in Yellowstone with so many amazing sights, which means so many pictures to share. From traffic jams caused by bison crossing the road to geysers and hot springs. In this post, I’ve added some GPS coordinates and linked them to Google Maps. I kinda wished I’d done that previous travel posts, but never thought it would be that important. My Canon EOS 6D DSLR Camera has a built in GPS which…

    Memories of the Month {4.2020}

    This month I was happy about: just feeling really content. I think not having the stresses of work and running here and there. Being with family and seeing them more. This month I was sad about: falling during one of our weekly hikes. We hiked the Deadening Alpine Trail the Saturday before Easter. It’s a pretty difficult hike and I was doing fine. Getting tired and in the last mile or so, my foot slipped down some pine straw. My back caught a knotted root sticking up out the ground and it scraped a nice chunk of skin off. I…

    What’s Up Wednesday ~ April 2020

    Today I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday. What We’re Eating I’ve been cooking from some of my favorite food bloggers: Plain Chicken, Simply Happy Foodie, Wholesome Recipe Box, and Cosmopolitan Cornbread. What I’m Reminiscing About Lately I’ve been thinking our travels through they years. With Corona being a thing now and the fact that all travel had to be cancelled at least through the summer, we didn’t get to make any of our travel plans. Drew and Rob were going to Annapolis, MD/Washington, DC for Drew’s best friend’s graduation from the Navel Academy in May.…

Beautiful views Before leaving the mountain we explored the other side, which has an Archery Range. Then Drew showed us where he was living and we got to…

    Spring Training 2020

    Earlier this month, before the Corona Virus became such a big deal in the U.S. we left work on Friday and drove down to Bushnell, Florida. We stayed at the Roadway Inn. Rob had enough Choice Hotel Points that we could stay for free. Saturday we got up and grabbed some packaged breakfast novelties and drove 2 more hours down to North Port. Since it was Alex’s birthday, he got to choose where to eat. We ended up at Bocca Lupos Pizza. They have one in the West Villages, which is just about mile from the new Braves Stadium where…
