    Wedding::Reception Part 1

    It’s been awhile since I’ve posted more professional pics from the wedding and there’s still so much to share. We’re into the reception now. Grand entrances Welcome & Toasts while people finished dinner First Dances We danced to Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden. Then the party really got started and that band hit the stage. The Bride and Groom wanted pictures with everyone, so they did a fast photo, where the band played 1 song and Drew and Caitlyn ran from table to table and got pictures with each table group. Here’s a few of those pics… From there…

    Week 33:2023

    Hello! Another week down. Here’s the highlights from week 33 (August 12-20, 2023)! I had someone recently ask about our church search and I’ve been meaning to update yall. So we visited several churches. I think there was only one Methodist church we never went to mainly because we wanted a church that had multiple services (that offers both traditional and contemporary) options as well as Sunday school. We think we have found our new church home. It’s in Opelika, which is the neighboring town; about 15 minutes from our house. Trinity disaffiliated and our now Global Methodist. We have…

    Week 32:2023

    Here we are for another weekly post. (August 7th-13th, 2023) I use Walmart pickup. I was so excited to see on the app recently where they give you the option to not have them put everything in bags. So I ended up ordering these and I really like them. So easy to bring inside and unload. The weekend before school started we went and heard the marching band play through all their stand tunes. It always gets us so excited for football. Drew, Caitlyn, and Bigsby came. We also brought Kayleigh. We finally got our hands on some of this…

    Week 31::2023

    Happy Friday! Here’s last week’s highlights (July 31-August 6, 2023)! Monday, Rob and I had lunch with Alex at the Savahn Thai Kitchen. Always enjoy my time with that boy. I have really been struggling with sleeping some nights. Maybe products from TopShelfBc might help. Last Tuesday I ended up having to go into work later because I was just so dead when the alarm went off. I made myself breakfast before heading into work. I’m in a search committee chair for an open position that I supervise in my department. My 1st time chairing a search committee. Last week,…

    Week 29-30:2023

    Here’s a run down of happenings from July 20-30… I got these while in New Jersey at Trader Joe’s. So yummy! I picked one of these up somewhere along our trip and found it to be really good. My new favorite sparkling water for sure! This week back after vacay I really got back to cooking, but then after several nights of cooking I’m back to being burnt out with it. With that being said, when we got back from our trip, Rob was pretty sick. Caitlyn and Drew were so sweet to bring soup over for us that weekend.…

    Weekend Highlights

    I got back from Texas on Wednesday, but has already put in for time off on Thursday and Friday as well. Thursday to recover and Friday to take Rob for another epidural. When I got home I was excited to see Rob had installed our new smart lock and new handle. Here’s the outside…we really need to replace the entire door. I have never been a fan of the red, but I guess haven’t cared that much since I’ve never painted it. And the inside Friday morning, I took Rob to the pain center for another neck epidural. Then, we…

    Week 25::2023 – Texas Trip

    On Saturday, the 17th I flew to DFW, rented a car, and drove a little over an hour to my sister’s house in Weatherford, TX. My sister was due to have a baby the week of June 16th. However, Baby Lu came a month early, so I had to adjust my plans for a visit. Luckily nothing was set in stone with my trip so I was able to do it over a holiday (Juneteenth) weekend. I’ve taken solo trips to Texas before but this was the first time to rent a car on my own. I will say I…

    Desert Trip – Day 1

    Today I’m continuing to share about our Desert trip… The next day (Monday) even though it felt like we went to bed at 2 or 3 am because we went from central time to pacific time, we got up at a decent hour. We wanted to start exploring before it got really hot. We had breakfast at the hotel and ventured over to South Mountain Park. We saw this interesting place on the way and stopped, because we were obsessed with cacti! Rob grabbed this cute selfie of us at Scorpion Gulch. We had wanted to explore Mormon Trail. However,…

    Desert Trip – Day 0

    Now that I’m done recapping our cruise, I’m going to jump into our most recent big trip. On Easter Sunday, we went to church and then had lunch at our house, before jumping in the car and heading to the airport. Travel days I often label Day “0” in case you’re wondering. Phoenix here we come! We were late taking off because of maintenance issues on the original plane, but the sunset I got to witness made up for it! The plane wasn’t very full, which was nice. Rob and I had a seat between us as the rows sandwiching…
