Trying to catch up! I just realized we’re in a new month already. I don’t know what it is about the last week of nearly every month, but they seem to be nonexistent. They fly by in the blink of an eye and just when I think I might actually get ahead of the game that’s the week that disappears and once again I’m behind. Anyway, I’m going to try and get my end of month posts up as soon as I can! Here’s the weekly posts from the last 2 weeks, May 17th-30th, 2021! Rob and I ate at…

We were so happy to be able to go to the lake this year for Memorial Day. We raced out to lake trying to beat the rain. We camp out at the lake so we were anxious to get everything set up. We ended up getting the big tent up just enough so we could stand under it before it started really pouring down. The rain let off enough so we could get our sleeping tent set up, and we knew there were holes in the rainfly. We usually get so lucky with rain so we’ve never had the reality…

Week 19 is May 10-16, 2021. Last week started off with our church having a “Welcome Home” event to bring every one back to reintroduce church activities and celebrate church reopening. There was a petting zoo with lots of cute animals. In the garden I planted some tomatoes using the no dig method, where you pile fresh compost up and plant seedlings. I went to TJMaxx and got Kayleigh a new toy. She loves new toys with squeakers inside. She disembowels them, quickly removing the squeaker only to have us pick it up and not letting her chew up that…

Selfie (Spring) – quarterly pic Nuts Sticker I saw these super cute stickers at Target yesterday. Blue So I got all the blue magnets from my office and was trying to line them up and they kept moving. Then I figured out that if I lined them up with corners touching they didn’t move. Week 18 was May 3-9, 2021. Another week of being in the office. I’m not missing being at home as much. Honestly too busy to have much time to ponder on it. 🙂 Here’s a few highlights from the week. Muddy girl! This girl loves to dig and stick her nose down the chipmunk holes. She is so funny. She won’t look at me because she knows I’m not happy with her. I’ve been wanting some new t-shirts. I think mainly working from home for the last year, I’ve been wearing mostly tshirts everyday. I have gotten tired of the…

Welcome back to another iSpy! Let’s jump straight into the prompts! Mail How You Feel Today I took this pic one day this week when I was at work and was feeling a little bit annoyed and so the fan and my airpods always help me block out everything out and concentrate. Reduce-Reuse-Recycle Shoot from the hip – (put your camera at waist or hip level – don’t look through the view finder…see what you got!) This is a cool technique I learned way back in the day when I really got into photography. It’s really best to try this…

How is everyone doing? I am just trying to keep my head above water right now and unfortunately my blogging life is and might continue suffering for a bit. I’m hoping to find a rhythm with being back in the office full time and trying to continue being on top of house work, family life, and blogging. Anyway, how are we in the 5th month of the year already! Wow! Today I’m linking up with one of my favorite linkups, Currently. /consuming/ I mentioned before that I tried Spindrifts recently and really like them. Pineapple is my favorite variety so…

Week 17 was April 26-May 2, 2021, which happened to be my week in the office. Getting home every afternoon, I collapsed in exhaustion at least for a bit. Then it’s up to cook dinner or do work in the garden. I still have so much to do in the garden. I’m actually way behind on planting, but I just haven’t wanted to fight the mosquitoes and really don’t have the energy. Anyway, on Thursday night, we went to the Korean BBQ place to celebrates Rob’s brother’s birthday. Unfortunately the restaurant was not a great experience. On another note, I…

I’m on the blogging struggle bus, but I’m working hard to try and stay on top of things or at least get posts out as I can. This month I was happy about: getting to go to church in person and life being a little more ‘normal.’ This month I was sad about: my hip pain (sciatica) coming back. Here’s my rating system for entertainment: ♥ ♥ = Love it! A must read/see! ♥ = Really good! Highly recommend. ✓ ✓ = Good, not great ✓ = Not much to talk about X = Awful. Total waste of time Movies…

For Spring Break we usually drive down to Florida to visit with Rob’s Grandparents and take in some Spring Training games. Our old son, Drew and Rob are the real baseball fans of the family. This year with Drew not being able to take off work and knowing that Alex could pretty much care less to go to baseball game and the fact that Sunday of Spring Break was Alex’s birthday, we decided to let him invite a friend and to go to amusements parks. We decided that we would try to attend games within about an hour of Tampa,…

Week 15 was April 12-18, 2021. I’m enjoying every day that I can while still working from home as I suspect that will be changing soon. Here’s some highlights of the week. Tuesday I brought Rob lunch at work and we sat outside near the pond behind his office. After work, I went outside to check on my newly transplanted tomato plants only to find that Kayleigh had dug some of them up and made a huge mess. Needless to say I was not happy. Wednesday Buster came to visit for the morning. He enjoyed laying on my warm heating…

Today, I’m continuing to discuss our Spring Break Trip. This is the 3rd full day of our trip. To have an idea on what to do during your Spring Break, see this here. On Tuesday, we got up earlier so we could drive over to Orlando for our day at SeaWorld! When planning the trip, we had originally thought we would have a day at the water park associated with Busch Gardens, Adventure Island. However we looked at the weather for that week and it was going to be lows in the 50s at night and highs in low 70s…

Here’s a quick drop of a few photos from this last week. Kayleigh’s eyes looked different when she was taking a nap. On Saturday, we went to watch some of Rob’s D-group guys play lacross. It was an exciting game against Homewood and Auburn won! It was such a beautiful day. After the game, Rob and I went to El Patron for a late lunch. I had a yummy margarita and the Burrito Blanco with steak. Sunday Rob cooked pork chop surprises out on the grill. We also tried Asparagus on the grill. I wrapped in foil with soy sauce.…

Welcome back to another week of iSpy! I heard from some of you that some of these prompts seemed kind of difficult. If you participated did they end up being as hard as you thought? I found a couple of them to be a little challenging, but that’s what makes me think more about those. Honestly, when I look through my list of prompts, I don’t usually have something preconceived in my head for what I want to do. In fact, I try really not to think about what I would do as I’m making the list. Anyway, let’s get…
