/getting/ Finally, getting my house back in order after being on vacation. So much to deal with after having to buy 8 days worth of clothes and we ended up not using everything we bought, so I’ve got to return a bunch of stuff to Walmart. Unpacking bags that never got opened during vacation…Read about that here. /going/ Hmmm…I guess this weekend I’ll be going to an AU baseball game (nothing new there) and a bridal shower/lunch for Drew’s best friend’s fiance. /planning/ We just booked another cruise for July. The deals for Carnival VIFP (Very Important Fun Person) members…

Today I’m starting my series on our Cruise that we recently just got back from. It’s been several years since we’ve cruise and we were so excited to go cruising this last Christmas, but then we cancelled. When we got the email about the deals happening, we just couldn’t pass them up. Let’s jump into this adventure…that almost didn’t happen. Friday, we worked and I ended up going home before lunch because I had a few things left to pack and wanted to get some things done around the house before leaving for 10 days. I had become concerned that…

Last week we started the week off with Alex’s 18th birthday. He wanted to go to Mikata, which is a Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse. Drew joined us of course. Drew’s girlfriend Caitlyn was on a work trip in Virginia. Anyway, we all enjoyed steak, chicken, and shrimp with fried rice and veggies. So good. Then, we went home for cake, ice cream, and presents. I know Alex isn’t looking at the camera here. He’s actually looking at Drew for some reason, but I love his smile and the way Kayleigh’s tongue is out. One of the gifts we got for him…

2 weeks ago started out with a trip to the orthopedic for my shoulder. It hurts kind of all the time now, but especially when I lift my arm out. I ended up getting a steroid injection and am now doing a few appointments of physical therapy and my favorite place. It has just been one thing another the last few months with me. I also finally got my tomato, pepper, and herb seeds started inside. I got my haircut. Here it is straightened. One night we were in Rob’s home office and he was rearranging some things to make…

Today I decided to link up with Tanya at The Other Side of the Road. This is my purchases from Amazon for January and February. Clothes I have a couple shirts with long spaces between buttons and if you’re not sitting perfectly straight it can gap. Another one that when I lift my arm up you can see too much skin, so I got these to wear underneath so I don’t have to worry about showing skin. haha! Camisole Rob needed some new jeans. Since we don’t have a JCPenney anymore (which is where we always got his jeans), I…

LIFE Happenings February has FLOWN by, especially because January was like an entire year. You can read my weekly summaries here: Week 5 & 6 Week 7 Loving Decided to try a different cup. I’ve been using several Auburn Tervis cups that I love, but they don’t keep ice for long. I also want to use a straw since I drink unsweet tea that is making my teeth less white. I got this Ello Beacon Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Tumbler. I ordered Senneny Set of 6 Straws straws separately and really like them as well. Happy Happy to be finished…

Since making my watching and listening a separate post from my Monthly summaries, I’m trying to figure how to make this not the same thing over and over again. Another year flying by and here we are talking about the 7th week of this year already. Is it me or is time flying by faster the older I get? Scary! Last week started off with Valentine’s Day. Rob and I aren’t big into that holiday. We usually go out to eat around that day (not on that day because its crowded, restaurants have ‘special’ more expensive menus, etc). Valentine’s Day this year, we ended up going to a Women’s basketball game and then we ate at Yummi Crab, which was delicious. We got a pound of shrimp (which comes…

Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine’s Day! Rob and I went to the AU women’s basketball game and then to a new-ish restaurant that we’ve been wanting to try called Yummy Crab. I was so excited that I dove into it before taking a picture. As I reading through my Feedly feed today, I saw a fun post by Natasha and I thought I’d do it too. First Date: January 1996 I flew in to Atlanta and we he took me up to Helen, Ga where it was snowing and just absolutely dreamy. You can read more about how we…

Here’s what’s been happening in life for Jan. 31st-Feb. 13, 2022. Not much too exciting! Just trucking along… This is one of Alex’s new cubes that he put into a cool design. Caitlyn (Drew’s girlfriend) started her career today as an Academic Advisor just across campus from me. So proud of her. I’m supposed to have a endoscopy and esophagus stretching every year, but I have been pushing it off trying to do it less often. Especially since I haven’t had too much issue since the first time I had it done back in Fall 2020. It’s such a process…

Spot in Town – Quarterly This is taken from the corner of campus called Toomer’s corner, which faces Toomer’s Drugs. Starts with Y I’ve been racking my brain for a “Y” shot and then I saw this one. Well, duh! Last weekend was our church’s Youth Winter Retreat. Here’s a picture of Alex and his friends walking into chapel. (His very last one.) Spent This one was hard, but I thought this would be a cute shot for ‘spent.’ Bigsby was tired after playing so hard with Kayleigh. Stacked I was going to do ‘stacked’ books, but as I walked…
