This month I was happy about: to be done with Kayleigh getting spayed. Now that her stitches out she is so happy to be able to run and play outside. This month I was sad about: all the sadness and violence in our country right now. This year I’m going to rate the books & movies. Here’s my rating system: ♥ ♥ = Love it! A must read/see! ♥ = Really good! Highly recommend. ✓ ✓ = Good, not great ✓ = Not much to talk about X = Awful. Total waste of time Movies I watched were: Jerry Maguire…

Today I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday. What We’re Eating Monday for Memorial Day we had ribs that we prepared and cooked ourselves. They turned out so good! Last Friday night, Drew cooked us dinner. We had Kabobs that were to die for with mac & cheese and baked beans. He’s quite the grillmaster! What I’m Reminiscing About I know this is what I said last month, but with summer upon us and the trips we should be about to go on, I’m reminiscing about our past vacays. Road trips to visit family in Baton…

Linking up with Momfessionals & a Little Bit of Everything Blog Happy Friday, everybody! I thought I had a list going of stuff I’d found over the week, but either I dreamed it or I’m not remembering where I ‘wrote that down.’ Anyway here’s my Friday Favorites…. I think most of these are going to be things I’ve found across the interwebs. Typically I have things in real life to share. This week again has flown by and it was pretty blah and actually quite stressful! Natasha did a post that I just loved. She interviewed her kids and got…

Like I said last week on Friday Favorites post, Rob has been making this recipe for years. And with us being home and me cooking nearly every night, I’ve been pretty religious with making a menu each week. That way when lunch and dinner roll around I’m not scrambling to figure something out. The fam had asked me to add this Chicken & Sausage Bowtie Pasta to the menu. I was happy to oblige and since this was my first time making Rob helped. Can you believe it? I’m actually posting a recipe. I think it has literally been years…

It’s been about 50 days since I posted my Corona Virus Bucket List. I thought I’d update to see my progress and determine what is left. I’m pretty impressed with what I’ve gotten accomplished! Here’s what I haven’t either started at all or haven’t finished… Make 3 items on my Food Bucket List. Write 5 travel blog posts. ~I’ve gotten 2 posted! 1 – Mountain West Trip:Day in Yellowstone-Part 1 2 – Mountain West Trip:Day in Yellowstone-Part 2 Complete a Bible Study at home. ~I am doing a Bible Study, but haven’t finished it yet. Do a family project. We’ve…

Linking up with Momfessionals & a Little Bit of Everything Blog Here are my Friday Favs (5ish random things I’m loving right now) for this week…. Sometimes in my little head, I think surely things I follow or know about are known by everyone that’s interested in them. Then, I think what if I know something people don’t know about, but would find useful? Well, I’m trying to wrap my mind around that concept and I’m going to start sharing more. Sharing is caring! Not only for YOU, but also for the person who I’m sharing about, right? Well, I…

A couple weeks ago after watching church online, since we had everyone gathered around the TV in the living room, Rob brought up making a schedule for our family. Now each of us pretty much follow a daily schedule of our own to ensure we get things done, but when Rob and I stopped and thought about the weeks that had already gone by and the time that was ‘lost’ it made us realize we needed to do something. Now it wasn’t really lost, because I assume that we were all doing things we enjoyed whether it be together or…

This last week, Rob and I took Thursday and Friday off because it was the end of the time when our work allowed us to take off without actually using vacation. We bounced the idea around of going up to the North Georgia Mountains and staying in a VRBO. However, there was something that just really made me hesitant, so we plan to do that later. Instead the fam treated me and allowed me to decide what I wanted to do…pretty much the entire long weekend! And if you know me, you know making decisions even the smallest ones bring…

I had all the intentions of getting this post up yesterday, when every else did, but I got busy and actually never even looked at my To Do List. Do y’all ever do that? making I wrote an insta post last night about making cookies. Well really I’m not making them (from scratch), but I’m baking them from a tub. I would love to make some cookies from scratch, but honestly with preparing lunch and dinner almost every single day that’s enough! missing I miss being able to just go to Target, TJMaxx, Ross, or Hobby Lobby and stroll through…

I’ve been wanting to do a Friday Favorites post for a few weeks now, but every Friday rolls around I tell myself, Dang! It’s already Friday and I haven’t collected my favorites to share on the blog. Well here we are again. These weeks of working from home fly by so fast, so very fast. Linking up with Momfessionals & a Little Bit of Everything Blog Here are my Friday Favs (5ish random things I’m loving right now) for this week…. I love that Jamielyn shares How to Freeze Bananas for several different purposes. Image: https://www.iheartnaptime.net/ I’m loving clean drawers.…

I wanted to write a quick post and share some pics of Drew’s girlfriend, Caitlyn’s graduation weekend. The week before graduation Caitlyn and I went out and ended up doing 2 rounds of grad photos. Here’s a few of my favs… For Caitlyn’s party our friends were nice enough to let her have it at their lake house. We got there early so we could start making the noodles. When we offered to help her with food for the party, Rob asked her if she could have any food she wanted what would it be. She of course answered with…

PICS 1: Last Sunday we had the most gorgeous flowers at church. 2: This is a grub or something, I dunno. Anyone know what it is? As I’ve shared before, I’m currently a little or a lot obsessed with herbs, vegetables, and house plants. So I noticed this little guy hanging out on the siding of my house near my plants. 3: This is one of my new plants. It’s Thai Basil. It had flowered before I got it, so I need to pick all those off. They say that flowering Thai Basil changes the flavor. 4: Alex decided to…

Again another week that has me quite stressed out and posting my weekly update has slid to the bottom of to do list. PICS 1: Drew’s girlfriend graduated from Auburn University! I need to write a post about all the graduation weekend. 2: I took this picture last week when having to walk across campus for something work related. 3: This is my desk where I sat for the last several years. I moved my desk since there is finally someone taking my old position. It will be a fairly long transition, but I’m happy it’s starting at least. 4:…

I’m late getting my weekly post up, but it’s been a crazy weekend and this week hasn’t really slowed down either. But here it is! PICS 1: Last Sunday, I was outside and noticed this little one flying around. I’m amazed at the pics an iPhone gets sometimes. 2: Daisy cracks me up the way she lays half in half out of her bed. 3: Alex had an orthodontist appointment. Their new building is so pretty. 4: One day last week I got out of my car in the parking deck and work. I looked over and saw this squirrel…

Sunday before Memorial Day we went over to Lake Martin (Dadeville, AL). Our usual tradition of camping at the lake with our friends got derailed mainly due to weather. However, Sunday turned out to be a hot sunny day. It’s crazy that as many times as we’ve been to Lake Martin, we had actually never been to Smith Mountain. There’s a .8 mile loop from a parking lot to the fire tower and back. Once you get up to the tower there are some beautiful views even if you don’t go up the tower. After hiking back down, we stopped…

I know I say it every year, but this year is just flying by. I don’t know why I’m every surprised. How are you doing on your scriptures? Whether you’re memorizing them, just keeping them nearby for encouragement throughout the week, or using them for bible journaling, it is great to have some scriptures that are your GO TO scriptures in time of need. This month have several of my favorites! Like I said these scriptures for May are a few of my all time favs. However I don’t have them memorized completely. I have the jist of a few…

This Memorial Day weekend was fun. We always appreciate the invitation from our good friends to camp out at their lake house and enjoy the sun. This year felt a little different for a couple reasons. We cooked most meals up at the house because we didn’t have all the normal gear that we borrow from the Cubscout Pack. It was also different because Drew’s friend Joe wasn’t able to get back from school, which we expected. Boys on the tube Gabe skiing Fun on the kneeboard These girls are always fun to watch while their tubing Got some great…

Garden of the Gods is a public park located in Colorado Springs, CO. It became a National Natural Landmark in 1971 and it is SO worth a visit next time you are in Colorado Springs. The beautiful red rock formations that tower above are quite mesmerizing. It is a rock climbers dream and you will see folks climbing, although we didn’t notice any while we were there. After taking a short drive from our hotel, we turned into one of the parking lots and to our surprise, a lady in the car next to us rolled her window down and…

Last year for Drew’s homecoming dinner, a group of his friends were meeting up for pictures and dinner at a friend’s house. My responsibility for the meal was to bring an appetizer. Buffalo Chicken Meatballs in the crockpot is what I finally decided to try. They turned out great and were quite a hit with the entire group. I love that these Buffalo Chicken Meatballs can be prepared ahead of time and even frozen until you’re ready to throw them into the crockpot. Servings: 25 Prep Time: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 2 hours Ingredients: 1 lb. ground chicken 3/4 cup…
