    Friday Favorites 5.22.2020

    Linking up with Momfessionals & a Little Bit of Everything Blog Happy Friday, everybody! I thought I had a list going of stuff I’d found over the week, but either I dreamed it or I’m not remembering where I ‘wrote that down.’ Anyway here’s my Friday Favorites…. I think most of these are going to be things I’ve found across the interwebs. Typically I have things in real life to share. This week again has flown by and it was pretty blah and actually quite stressful! Natasha did a post that I just loved. She interviewed her kids and got…

    Making the Most of Your Time at Home during COVID

    A couple weeks ago after watching church online, since we had everyone gathered around the TV in the living room, Rob brought up making a schedule for our family. Now each of us pretty much follow a daily schedule of our own to ensure we get things done, but when Rob and I stopped and thought about the weeks that had already gone by and the time that was ‘lost’ it made us realize we needed to do something. Now it wasn’t really lost, because I assume that we were all doing things we enjoyed whether it be together or…

    I had all the intentions of getting this post up yesterday, when every else did, but I got busy and actually never even looked at my To Do List. Do y’all ever do that? making I wrote an insta post last night about making cookies. Well really I’m not making them (from scratch), but I’m baking them from a tub. I would love to make some cookies from scratch, but honestly with preparing lunch and dinner almost every single day that’s enough! missing I miss being able to just go to Target, TJMaxx, Ross, or Hobby Lobby and stroll through…

    Memories of the Month {4.2020}

    This month I was happy about: just feeling really content. I think not having the stresses of work and running here and there. Being with family and seeing them more. This month I was sad about: falling during one of our weekly hikes. We hiked the Deadening Alpine Trail the Saturday before Easter. It’s a pretty difficult hike and I was doing fine. Getting tired and in the last mile or so, my foot slipped down some pine straw. My back caught a knotted root sticking up out the ground and it scraped a nice chunk of skin off. I…

    Memories of the Month {3.2020}

    This month I was happy about: for more family time and working from home. A time to slow down a bit and actually be forced to get stuff done that otherwise wouldn’t. Just making the best of the situation. This month I was sad about: the whole coronavirus is a complete downer. It’s so sad to see all those that are suffering and all those that have died from it. It’s constant on the news and on social media. This year I’m going to rate the books & movies. Here’s my rating system: ♥ ♥ = Love it! A must…

    What’s Up Wednesday – March 2020

    Well here we are again finishing up another month. Today I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday. What We’re Eating Well since we’ve been all at home more or less I’ve been even more on top of menu planning, because I’m planning not only dinner like I usually do, but also lunches. With all the social distancing, we stopped eating out even before our state closed all restaurants except for drive thrus and take out orders. I’ve been using not only my recipes, but also Show Me the Yummy, Wholesome Recipe Box, Damn Delicious, Simply Happy…

    The Weekly [11.18-12.1.2019]

    There wasn’t much going on the 18th-24th, so I decided to combine the 2 weeks for this week’s weekly. PICS We enjoyed watching Drew sing with AU Cappella the week before last. This is a pic of the group after the concert. Here’s one of Drew’s solos “Billionaire” by Bruno Mars. Pictures 1-7 are from Thanksgiving weekend. 1: Here’s Drew and Grampa discussing business related to Drew’s Marketing Business major. 2: Wednesday before Thanksgiving, we enjoyed homemade Cavatelli with Meatballs. So yum! 3: That night we went to Wesley Chapel, FL for a Soul Circus Cowboys concert. Rob’s Uncle Mike…

    The Weekly [11.11-17.19]

    PICS 1: The Auburn University Marching Band (AUMB) along with the Auburn Wind Symphony band performed at the new performing arts center. It was amazing to see 300+ band members on the stage. My son Drew is not in the AUMB this year, but we still enjoyed supporting the bands. 2: It got really cold last week, really fast! Lows in the 20’s, highs in the 40’s. Then it warmed back up a bit. 3: I laugh so hard anytime Rob is sitting on the couch and the cat jumps up there and crawls in his lap. It’s funny because…

    The Weekly [11.1-10.19]

    PICS 1: We started out the month with a quick trip to Atlanta to see Elton John in his Farewell tour. That weekend was his last time to perform in Atlanta before he retires in the next year or 2. Rob is such a big Elton fan and is sad that he won’t be touring anymore, but understands that he is 72 years old and wants to spend time with his family. It was such a great concert with all his greatest hits and a few lesser known songs. That man played for 3 straight hours and Ray Cooper (percussionist)…
