This last week I was happy to finally finish up this wall in our breakfast area that’s attached to the kitchen. If you remember, back in January we got this new sideboard table and when we moved the old microwave stand we discovered lots of wall issues! Here is how it’s looked since then. Look at that nasty crack. We didn’t know that the back of the drawer looked like that until we decided to change it. And hoo boy, we’re glad that we did. Till Labor Day Weekend when my FIL came over to help with several house projects…

Many years ago, I decided to start a new tradition. I’ve probably talked about this before, but I finally have a half way decent photo to share. Anyway, on Christmas Eve we always go to church that afternoon or evening and then the boys would come home and open their 1st gift which was always Christmas PJ’s. They did that till Drew told me he didn’t like that tradition anymore and didn’t want Christmas PJs. For a year or two after that I got Alex PJ’s and just got Drew a t-shirt of some kind. Then, when I felt like…

Happy November! Just 2 full weeks until Thanksgiving week! Do you have your turkey yet? The Braves won the World Series! So exciting! We had really hoped they’d win Sunday night when they were still home, but they ended up losing that game and then having to fly back to Houston. One day I was backing out about to head to work and noticed Alex had a flat tire. Katniss kept Alex’s bed warm one evening when he was hanging out with a friend. Thursday Rob and I went out with some coworkers of his at Amsterdam. I got the…

How is October over already!?!?! I know many folks will be pulling out their Christmas decor soon. We don’t do that, but I will switch out all the Halloween themed decor for just fall decor. Here’s what happened for Week 43 (October 25-31, 2021)! On Tuesday, on my way home I noticed the protestors downtown, but couldn’t get a shot until I had passed them. Here they are in my rear view mirror. They were protesting the Auburn University vaccine mandate. Thursday was my day to give myself a shot of Ozempic shot on my own. As you can see…

Happy Turkey day week, yall! I can’t believe its the holiday season already! I’ve got 2 very busy days ahead before being off for the rest of the week starting Wednesday. I am so ready! iPHONE PICS & GOINGS ON Kayleigh sheds more than any corgi we’ve had, I think. I’ve been trying to brush her every other day, but last week was crazy and I didn’t get to it. You can see this large ball of hair that I got off her. Her nails also grow extremely fast. We use a Dremel to file her nails. That’s what her…

Lately I’ve been in a cookie making mood. I love these cookies that have chocolate chips, rice crispy cereal, and toffee bits. Such a yummy combination and a fun way to mix up your everyday chocolate chip cookie. The toffee bits add a flavor punch and crunch, along with the rice crispy cereal that adds a little more crunch. TIP: What I have found to be convenient is to make the cookies up. Go ahead and preheat the oven and make one pan full of cookies, which is maybe 8-12 cookies depending on the size of the pan. Then, I…

This week’s weekly is actually from the last 2 weeks. I started writing this post last week, but didn’t have a ton to share. I ended up deciding to just combine the 2 weeks. PICS & GOINGS ON Here was my 2nd day in a row to watch LaX, but this time it was to watch my nephews play. It was a championship game. My older nephew got the tying goal, which was so very exciting. Their team ended up winning! The last few weeks I’ve been watching a lot of YouTuber that talk about buying hauls as well as…

Today I’m continuing on with my posts about our Colorado Trip. All the posts from this trip will be here>>>>Colorado Trip Another day to explore on my own, while Rob was in his conference. This is the gorgeous view of Cheyenne Mountain as I left the hotel. As I was driving to my 1st destination I was stopped at a light on Nevada Avenue. I was able to snap this pic of The Great Pumpkin, which is a 1500 lb. statue. After some research, I found that it’s made out of 90% recycled materials. Regardless of the time of year,…

How are yall doing today? I’m honestly in kind of a funk this morning, but I’m giving my best effort to let it go and be in a good mood. Here’s my weekly recap from last week. 🙂 PICS & GOINGS ON Last week Hurricane Zeta brought us lots of wind and rain. Wednesday night our power went out about 3am and didn’t come back on until 2:30pm Thursday. That made for an interesting work day since I’m working from home. Luckily I had some paper work to go through and organize. This was a tree that pulled down power…

There wasn’t much going on the 18th-24th, so I decided to combine the 2 weeks for this week’s weekly. PICS We enjoyed watching Drew sing with AU Cappella the week before last. This is a pic of the group after the concert. Here’s one of Drew’s solos “Billionaire” by Bruno Mars. Pictures 1-7 are from Thanksgiving weekend. 1: Here’s Drew and Grampa discussing business related to Drew’s Marketing Business major. 2: Wednesday before Thanksgiving, we enjoyed homemade Cavatelli with Meatballs. PICS 1: The Auburn University Marching Band (AUMB) along with the Auburn Wind Symphony band performed at the new performing arts center. It was amazing to see 300+ band members on the stage. My son Drew is not in the AUMB this year, but we still enjoyed supporting the bands. 2: It got really cold last week, really fast! Lows in the 20’s, highs in the 40’s. Then it warmed back up a bit. 3: I laugh so hard anytime Rob is sitting on the couch and the cat jumps up there and crawls in his lap. It’s funny because…
