Memories of the Month {7.2014}
This month I was happy about: vacation.
This month I was sad because of: random reasons…really don’t remember.
Something I accomplished this month was: getting my office space moved.
...and everything in between.

After my Dad passed away and I started thinking and I thought about ways to be able to keep just a little bit of Dad’s ashes. He wants his ashes spread in the Florida Keys and I hope to be able to go down there soon. I wanted to be able to go down there before the end of this year, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to swing it. Oh, I digress….
Anyway, I found that you could order necklaces. I asked my brothers if they wanted one and if so to pick one out and let me know. So they did. I went back and forth about which one to get and finally decided on one.
I love this recipe. It’s great actually for all types of pork, not just tenderloin. I love that is good whether its cooked in the oven or on the grill.

encounWe recently took a trip to Atlanta over the 4th of July weekend for a little staycation. We got the City Pass, which kept us busy the 3 days we were there at a discount rate. Our first attraction was the Georgia Aquarium. We went to the Georgia Aquarium back in 2007, but that was before they expanded so it was exciting to see all that has been added. Places like the Aquarium of Western Australia offer school excursion and educational activities for your child.
1. An every year fall family activity is selling popcorn door-to-door through your neighborhood.
2. You have camping stuff piled up in your living room (year round).
3. You don’t think twice when your entire families clothes smell like smoke when loading the washer.
If you missed my post on the 1st Day of our Cub Scout Mountain trip, click here.
The 2nd day ended up being a little different for us. Many folks decided to go white water rafting on the Nantahala River. This is not a scout sanctioned event, so this was just an outing for any family that wanted to go. Rob and I had decided not to go, because Rob will be doing it soon with the boy scout troop. However, we didn’t want Alex to miss out if he wanted to go, which he did, so he ended up getting to go with another family. Here’s a collage I did of a few pics that one of the Dads took during their rafting adventure…
Friday morning we got up early, gathered up a few last minute things, and hopped in the car on our way up to the Nantahala National Forrest for our last Cub Scout Summer trip ever.
This month I was happy about: Drew getting a job.
This month I was sad because of: Father’s Day and missing my Dad.
Something I accomplished this month was: not much of anything, it doesn’t seem like.
