    Sentence a Day – May 2025

I got motivated this month to start back with a sentence a day. I did a few S-A-D posts in 2021. I am actually writing these in my Day One journal that I love so much. And I am using a template I made that has 3 prompts -Thankful for: -Sum up today in 1 sentence/Or one memorable thing from today: Number of Steps: -1-Th- -Negative Cologuard test results! -I enjoyed my discussion with Marty (co-worker) about the student council seniors who are able to tell their biggest wishes for the job…now that they’re leaving. 6,434 -2-F- -My work team…

    1. What’s your favorite room in your house and why? Now that we redid one the larger of the 2 kids rooms last year, it is my favorite. Even though I’m not in there much. I love it because with the new paint and new crown molding makes it feel ‘clean.’ There’s also no clutter. It’s not ‘lived in.’ 🙂 2. What’s something that will instantly annoy you? Bad drivers… 3. May 28th is National Hamburger Day…will you celebrate? How do you like yours? If you’re not cooking at home is there a favorite place you like to go for…

If you missed the last weekly post, you can find it here. It’s a good one!! May 5 LA turned 3 months today and her mom went back to work after 12 weeks off. That evening Rob and I went to Montgomery to see 2 of our preachers get ordained as deacons. The 2nd and 4th guy from the left. This is our clergy team from our church. These guys are awesome! May 6 Alex has been telling us for a while that the restaurant he worked at was going to be closing it’s doors soon. We wanted to go…

    1. May 20th is World Bee Day…what’s something that’s kept you ‘busy as a bee’ lately? This past Sunday we got to have LA at our house for most of the day while her parents went to the lake with her sister. With a baby around, you are busy as a bee, but I couldn’t have been happier. It was lovely. She’s out of her fussy stage, which is nice. 2. Do you like honey? What’s something you make or enjoy that calls for honey? Although, I haven’t made this in years much to my husbands chagrin, this is a…

    1. What’s something you’re curious about right now? I recently started playing around with ChatGPT and I’m curious about more productive ways to use it. I made my dog into a human…so that was fun. 2. If you could plan the perfect girl’s weekend getaway, where would you go and what would be on the agenda? Do you have anything like this on your calendar in the next few months? I’ve always dreamed of having a girls’ weekend in Key West (because Rob hates it and I love it.) I think its a great place to just hang out at…

Can’t believe I haven’t done a Hodgepodge post since last April >>> Wednesday Hodgepodge 4.2.2024 1. Let’s compare this May to last May. What’s changed? What remains very much the same? Oh wow! Let’s see last May I was playing catch up on the blog because I had had shoulder surgery in April. Monthly Digest from May Now, I’m healed from that surgery, but still don’t have full range of motion/strength back yet, but close. It’s probably on me for not continuing to do my exercises. It’s a very difficult recovery. Last May I didn’t have a granddaughter. We celebrated…

    May is Fibromyalgia Awareness Month

If you weren’t aware I have fibromyalgia. Unfortunately fibromyalgia effects me. Every. Single. Day. This post is informational. I’m not asking for sympathy or whatever. I’m asking you to read it and understand what a glimmer of what it’s like to have fibro. After a full night of sleep, I wake up nearly just as tired as when I went to bed. When I finally will myself to get out of the bed, every muscle in my body is screaming at me in pain. On good days the more I move, my muscles start to feel a little better. Often…

    Week 13 & 14: 2025

Time for another BiWeekly Update… March 25 The fog one morning this morning was so beautiful March 25 Caitlyn and I saw Mama Mia! at the Gogue. So good! Such a cute story. Basically a young woman who is getting married reads her single mom’s diary to find out who her mom dated around the time she would have been conceived. She invites those guys to her wedding without her mom knowing. Again really cute. Highly recommend! March 27 The other day I noticed this dispersion (light [wavelengths] bend at slightly different angles) on the wall in our entryway. So…

    San Fransisco Trip Day 9

Our final day pulled us back to two favorites: coastal cliffs and wine country charm. Napa offered up some unexpected insight, while the rugged shoreline kept stealing the show. And yes—getting to the airport felt like its own plot twist.

    San Fransisco Trip Day 8

Our day in San Francisco started with a jolt of classic charm and ended with a splash of unexpected adventure. From cable cars to winding streets, impromptu food tastings to techy detours, the city served up a full plate of surprises. What looked like a mellow day turned into something much more memorable… even if we were left a little soggy and very hungry by the end.

    L.A.’s First Toomer’s Rolling

Last Sunday was a great day for Auburn Basketball. Auburn was playing in Atlanta in NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament aka March Madness. Sunday was the Elite 8 game for Auburn against Michigan State. It was a great game. We were leading nearly the entire game. With that win, we play in the Final Four game on Saturday! After any Auburn win, Auburn fans head downtown to Toomer’s Corner to roll and party. We typically only go down there for big wins. Rob asked me if I wanted to and I decided it would be fun. They close the streets for…

    San Fransisco Trip Day 7

Day 7 brought a shift in scenery and energy as we left San Francisco behind and crossed the bridge into Oakland and Berkeley. What started as a plan to catch an evening baseball game soon turned into a full-blown city-hopping adventure—one filled with scenic detours, surprise gems, and a few moments that had us laughing, squinting, and maybe even tearing up a bit. California just keeps unfolding in the best ways.

    New Years Cruise: Carnival Liberty

Rob and I decided at some point, we would take each of Rob’s sisters kids on a cruise before they graduate from high school. However, time got away from us and the oldest is graduating soon. It ended up working out for us to go after Christmas. It was a great trip. Abi and her friend, Em were great travel mates. Here’s a quick run down of our cruise on the Carnival Liberty. New Orleans Picked up the girls from their respective homes and drove to New Orleans. We walked around and ate beignets at Cafe Du Monde. Dinner at…
