If you missed the last weekly post, you can find it here. It’s a good one!!

LA turned 3 months today and her mom went back to work after 12 weeks off.

That evening Rob and I went to Montgomery to see 2 of our preachers get ordained as deacons. The 2nd and 4th guy from the left. This is our clergy team from our church. These guys are awesome!

Alex has been telling us for a while that the restaurant he worked at was going to be closing it’s doors soon. We wanted to go one more time and we also wanted to bring Rob’s brother, Nick and the timing was good because he had had a birthday recently.
Here’s Rob and I with Alex. He loved working here. He loved the kitchen and what he learned there was invaluable! I will miss seeing how happy and the comfort he felt being in his element at the Vintage 2298. Their last day to be open was Mother’s Day, just a few days after we were there.
May 9
Rob with Drew and Caitlyn and even LA made an appearance at the Auburn baseball game.

May 10
The next day I went over to Drew and Caitlyn’s house to take LA 3 month photos. I haven’t had time to even look at them yet, but this one I snapped with my iPhone.

Mother’s Day was lovely. Rob, Drew, and Nick (Rob’s brother) did a great job of treating us. We started with wine and a charcuterie board. We got to use my new char board that I got for Christmas. Then, we had Olive Garden like salad, chicken alfredo, and individual Nothing Bundt Cakes.

We didn’t do a great job of getting all the mom’s together, but we did get these.

The next weekend we went to our niece’s high school graduation party. She’s the one we took on a cruise.

May 18
That Sunday we did our normal family lunch after church. This time Drew and Caitlyn went to the lake with her sister and husband, so we got to keep LA. Alex was happy to get to hang with her.

Although I didn’t get a picture of them, darn it. Alex’s girlfriend, Madison, came over. We don’t get to see her too often because nursing school is a lot.
On their way out Alex noticed this little guy in our flower bed. (Snake picture warning!)

That is really too bad about the restaurant. We never did get to go, but it looked incredible. Such sweet pictures of LA!
What a couple of great things to celebrate! I’m so sorry to hear the restaurant your son worked at closed. It sounds like he really liked that job a lot.
