Here we are for another biweekly post. This was a busy couple weeks, so buckle up for a long post. 🙂
I just can’t seem to get in a groove of writing this bi-weekly life update posts. Maybe I need to go back to weekly…I dunno…

Rob’s cousin and her fiance were in town for the week. She wanted home made Covatels (pasta) while she was in town, so we had those at our house on Monday night.

Here’s everyone except me and Rob and his mom and step Dad. We sat at the breakfast table.

I got to watch this little one while her parents were gone for about an hour. Any little but of time with her is precious. This was when she was going through something and every night around 5 or 6 she would just cry for what seemed like no reason. I was happy to get her to fall asleep pretty quickly. Gramma’s touch? Maybe so.

Later that evening Rob and I took Tara and Alex to The Irritable Bao for dinner. I love they let people paint the Bamboo Steamers and they display them.

And the food is so good!

After dinner, we drove closer and parked on campus so we could give them a tour. Ironically enough, we started by going into one of the buildings that they keep saying they’re going to tear down, but haven’t yet. Rob and I both had math and science classes in here. I think I actually had physics in this very room.

Campus views from the Eagle’s nest (not open to public) is amazing. Too bad we got up there after dark. Still made for some interesting photos.
Back of Jordan Hare where the new score board is going up.

Sadly, the next day Tara and Alex flew back home to San Diego, but we really enjoyed our visit with them.
Also on that day Alex was at work. They had a special event that night that rented out the entire restaurant. I was happy to find this photo of the guys in the kitchen. (Alex is on the far left.)

I love getting texts with photos of LA. We got her these sunglasses before she was born. I love you can see her parents in the reflection.

I was leaving the baseball game and I was walking behind Frank Thomas. We went out the gate and there were some guys getting photos in front of his statue and he told his friend, “Watch this!” He goes and stands next to the guy and they were like, “No Way!” And they got photos of him with them in front of his statue, pretty cool!!

Rob and I went to the GPAC and saw Hadestown. We had great seats for this performance. Hadestown’s music and the story line is so good! It has one a lot of awards and for good reason. Highly recommend!!

May 1
LA started day care

May 2
This week was Employee Appreciation week and that always ends with the Employee Recognition. I received the Trailblazer award, which less that 100 staff members have received!

May 4
Rob and his mom and brother and I went to Atlanta for a Braves game. The Braves pulled off a win, which is always exciting.

That picture of that baby with the sunglasses – that’s such a cute picture!!!!
The classroom – those old desks – man, brings back some memories
I so enjoy these catch-up posts. Are those scallops from the Irritable Bao? Oh, they look so good. Love that customers paint the rice steamers. So clever.
That baby girl couldn’t be any cuter. Look at her, so grown up and starting school!! And check out her ‘Trailblazing’ grandma. Congratulations!!
Glad you enjoyed having the kids from San Diego visit. I am sure you showed them a good time. Love the view of campus. Your photos are especially lovely.
