1. What’s something you’re curious about right now?
I recently started playing around with ChatGPT and I’m curious about more productive ways to use it. I made my dog into a human…so that was fun.

2. If you could plan the perfect girl’s weekend getaway, where would you go and what would be on the agenda? Do you have anything like this on your calendar in the next few months?
I’ve always dreamed of having a girls’ weekend in Key West (because Rob hates it and I love it.) I think its a great place to just hang out at the pool and beach. Eat good food. Walk around and explore.

I don’t have anything planned.
3. What’s the most unique item in your refrigerator right now?
Not sure…Can’t think of anything unique in my fridge right now.
4. In this season of your life, what do you find most challenging?
Rob and I have been empty nesters since August 2022 and I just can’t believe its already been nearly 3 years. I’ve adjusted pretty well to my boys being out of the house pretty easily due to the fact that they are both in town. Very thankful for that!

We are new Grandparents as of this February. I think the challenging part of that so far is not seeing my son and DIL as much. Trying to find a happy medium of asking to see them (and L.A.), but also not wanting to ‘smother’ them.

5. Do you collect anything? If so why that?
I have a small collection of cookbooks. I don’t really add to it unless someone gives me a one or I find something unique. I have other collections from my childhood, souvenir spoon collection, which is displayed in my kitchen. I also used to collect clown dolls/figurines, and had those on display in my house until a few years ago. I packed most of them up because they just didn’t bring me joy and I wanted to display other things. I do love baskets and decorative bowls, so you might say I collect those too, but not really on purpose.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Rob’s planning a trip to meet up with some friends starting in Boston to hit several MLB ballparks in June. It’s made me miss our roadtrip up there back in 2018.

I was just thinking about how graduation in 2022 seems like yesterday! I would love to go to Key West someday.
I miss being close to where all my kids live, and it is quite the challenge to not be able to see my granddaughters at least a couple times a week. Your upcoming baseball road trip sounds like fun! Hope you’re having a great week!
I finally have one daughter living nearby after many years far apart geographically and we’re figuring it out. I think it’s probably easier with a daughter than a daughter-in-law even if you have a great relationship. Your little one is super cute and I hope you get lots of time with her.
