1. May 20th is World Bee Day…what’s something that’s kept you ‘busy as a bee’ lately?
This past Sunday we got to have LA at our house for most of the day while her parents went to the lake with her sister. With a baby around, you are busy as a bee, but I couldn’t have been happier. It was lovely. She’s out of her fussy stage, which is nice.

2. Do you like honey? What’s something you make or enjoy that calls for honey?
Although, I haven’t made this in years much to my husbands chagrin, this is a favorite. Spicy Honey BBQ “Wings”

3. “Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.” Proverbs 16:24
What’s a proverb you love, or one that speaks to you or has helped you in some way?
The Bible is full of Proverbs, a whole book in fact, if that helps with your answer. The word proverb is defined as ‘a short pithy saying in general use, stating a general truth or piece of advice’.
My favorite is Proverbs 3:5, which says Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
4. Tell us about a ‘sweet’ moment in your life recently that filled you with joy, gratitude, or peace.
Of course, with the addition of our granddaughter this year our lives are transforming and it is so cool to see everyone with her. I especially loved on Sunday getting to watch Alex with her. It was a very sweet moment to watch them together and she is so smiley and she just couldn’t stop smiling at him.

5. When you were a child, what did you want to ‘be’ when you grew up? How close did you come to that?
I always wanted to be a doctor because I had to 2 uncles that are doctors. I did 1 year of pre-med classes at Texas Tech. I realized that the doctor lifestyle can be grueling and I decided I just didn’t want that. Happy I made that decision early in my college career.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
It’s Fibromyalgia Awareness Month and I recently wrote a post, but just made it public.
May is Fibromyalgia Awareness Month
My son-in-law is a surgeon and it’s been interesting to have a behind the scenes look at all the training, schooling, research etc. It’s never ending but he loves it and I think you have to love it to do it. So glad you had some baby time! Have a great day!
Aww! What a lovely visitor! The little one is just adorable.
Yum! Those BBQ wings look so good!
Grandbabies are the best. What a sweet photo you captured of that baby joy. Well it’s Memorial Day weekend and sometimes the inauguration of BBQ season so I’ll be over for those BBQ wings! π They do look yummy. Nice to meet you at the Hodgepodge.
LA is just so smiley and cute! I know your heart must be overflowing. I was premed for a few years too, until I decided it wouldn’t be a lifestyle I would want. I don’t regret that decision at all!
What an adorable baby!!! I know you had the best time! Iβm going to check out your fibromyalgia blog post. I was diagnosed with it many years ago. Most people do not understand what itβs like to live with it.
Look at that smiley baby! Just too sweet – I can that made your heart full!!
Your grandbaby is so sweet and smiley! What a delightful way to keep busy! Hope you’re having a great week!
