How is it almost November?!?! It is just crazy to think how quickly time goes by even though the days often drag by. Anyone else feel that? LIFE Happenings Rob and I watched Drew’s dog, Bigsby for an extended weekend earlier in the month, when he and Caitlyn had to go to Florida. We took Bigsby and Kayleigh for a walk. Loving I am trying hard to love exercising. Right now, Kayleigh and I are walking 5 days a week. I’m also doing some arm exercises 3 times a week. I’m kind of at a stand still already with my…

Time for another Watching & Listening post. And as always remember, this post does not include anything I watch on YouTube. That gets it’s own post. Jump to: TV Shows | Podcasts | Music I thought I’d start out by updating shows I watched over the summer and letting you know what I thought about those. New Shows This Summer – Did not finish either of these. Not to say I won’t go back and finish at some point, but just not feeling either of these still. Breaking Bad (Netflix) Surviving Summer (Netflix) New Seasons – Summer Virgin River –…

Hey ya’ll! I think most people that participate in iSpy have done the survey, but I’ll leave it up one more week. I’ll say 100% of the folks still want to do continue to do it in 2023, so that’s cool. iSpy Survey favorite Aubie is my favorite mascot and this little flag is so cute in someone’s front yard in my neighborhood. workspace – quarterly – I’ve been trying to stand more, so my stand desk is up and my chair is pulled out. logo Consider not always centering things in your photo. I always have such great intentions of keeping up with a day so I can write a day in the life post and at some point I forget so I only have half day recorded. I actually did it this time! I love reading these type posts and it’s always fun to look back remember. Here’s what a Tuesday is like for me… 6:30am Every morning I drag myself out of bed, but seeing Kayleigh laying in all the different way she lays never gets old. Here she is on a different morning. I’m a pretty low maintenance kind of…

This is a post I wrote on FB the morning I found out my Granny’s house had been listed for sale. I knew it was coming, so it wasn’t a complete shock. Granny is my Mom’s mom who passed away in 2015. My Granny’s house is for sale in North Richland Hills, TX. I’d love for a sweet family to make this their home and make wonderful memories like I did growing up. As I looked through the pictures of this empty house which can be sold on housereal.net, memories flood my brain. All the banana nut bread, chicken and…

Hello, yall! Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday. Today saw where Joanne had written her 10 on the 10th post and decided to jump in and share about birthdays too! 1. What is your earliest birthday memory? I think it was my 8th birthday. I wanted to have my friends come to a restaurant called Steak and Ale. I loved their Hawaiian chicken and the feel of the restaurant. So my friends came over all dressed up and we went there and then went back to my house for a sleep over. Here’s a picture of us there. I’m…

Hello, y’all! Today we’re continuing with another travel post from our St. Louis trip. After spending 5 days in St. Louis, mainly while Rob was attending a conference, we were ready to explore some other nearby cities. In the last travel post, you can see we basically ate our way through St. Louis and then made our way to Kansas City. On our way there we stopped in Columbia, MO to see Mizzou. After about 2 more hours in the car, we arrived in Kansas City, checked into our hotel, and got to bed after a long day. The next…

Another month has flown by. Here’s my Monthly Digest for September 2022! LIFE Happenings We had a great Labor Day weekend. Rob went to Atlanta one Friday morning and instead of driving he took the Groom Transportation which takes people from Auburn to the Atlanta airport. He did this because he was meeting some vendors he works with that were in Atlanta for conference earlier in the week. They were going to talk business for the afternoon and take in a Braves game. One of the guys, Jeff is from the Boston area. He and Rob have bonded over zoom…

On our way to Kansas City, we stopped in Columbia, MO to see Mizzou (University of Missouri). Funny enough, my school, Auburn just played Mizzou this last weekend in football. I was there to see these 2 terrible teams play and at the end it was a calamity of errors that ended up going into over time. We ended up winning, but it was so ugly. I think that will be the only SEC game we win this season. Mizzou is a beautiful campus. I have a new appreciation for it for sure. The story of these columns is interesting.…

Today I’m sharing about our last full day in St. Louis. At this point in the trip, Rob was done with his conference. We had a few hours in St. Louis before we ubered a rental car place that offers airport limousine services and Limo Rental Solutions so that we could go explore some other areas. That morning we had tickets to ride up the Gateway Arch, so we got up early enough to walk there and grab some breakfast. We stopped at Chili Mac’s Diner (510 Pine St, St. Louis, MO 63101). From there we walked over to the…

We had a really good Labor Day weekend, so I thought I’d share about it. On Saturday, it was the 1st Auburn football game of the season. Rob had to get to the stadium early for work, so I rode with Drew & Caitlyn to campus. It was a fun game. In the 2nd half there was lightening, which we couldn’t see. It ended up getting closer, so the game was delayed. We hung out in the corridors of the stadium, but we kept seeing lots of lightening. We elected to wait for the rain to slow down and then…

Today I’m sharing another adventure while we were in St. Louis. We took an uber over to the Budweiser Brewery for the Clydesdale VIP Tour. When you get there you check in at the counter and then you can hang out in the display area and look and read about the history of the company and how their beer is made. And just so I can remember COVID related stuff, these next two pictures are cute. When its time for the tour to start, they lead you out through the back doors. There you see the Clydesdale Semis that they…

I am continuing to share about our St. Louis trip today. I ubered over to the Missouri Botanical Gardens. I was honestly just scared to take public transportation. I’m sure I would have been fine since it was daytime, but I still decided to Uber. I am really into gardening and flowers and I knew I would enjoy seeing one of the oldest botanical institutions in the U.S. I didn’t do much research beforehand, but I did purchase the ticket ahead of time online ($14). I went in with the mindset I wanted to see the entire thing, but once…

Today we’re continuing with our travel posts from St. Louis. In case you missed St. Louis post #1>>>St. Louis Trip Day 1 The 2nd day, Rob headed out to his conference. I lingered in the hotel room trying to figure out what exactly I was going to do that day. I decided to explore the area by foot. We stayed at the Downtown St. Louis Marriot Grand, which is a great location only about a about a half mile to the Gateway Arch National Park. Friends had recommended going inside the Old Courthouse. However, it was undergoing renovations, so that…
