    All Star Game 2025

Bucket List, Checked. Rob and Drew spent an unforgettable day in Atlanta soaking up the energy of the All-Star Village, followed by an evening at the 2025 All-Star Game—an absolute dream event for any baseball fan. Not only was it a bucket list moment, it turned out to be a history-making one: after a 6-6 tie, fans witnessed the first-ever swing-off tiebreaker in All-Star Game history. The format included three rounds of alternating swings, and the National League edged out the win with a final score of 4–3. Needless to say, this crew was thrilled to see the NL pull…

    Maternity Photos (December 2024)

I wanted to share a few photos from Caitlyn’s maternity shoot. We did these at The Botanic. All of these were taken with an Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max because if I would have used my big SLR camera they would require us to pay $50. I think these turned out pretty darn good with just a little bit of editing.

Drew & Caitlyn’s Pregnancy Announcement photos

A couple weeks ago we went out took some photos so Caitlyn could put it up on social media. At this point, I believe she was 20 weeks. Feeling baby move. They know the gender, but no one else does…yet! Bigsby always comes through for us. We do have to him breaks, but regardless he deserves treats when we’re done! I snapped this with my phone.

    I’ve Been Keeping a Secret….

Yes!!! We’re going to be Grandparents!! Back in July, for Rob’s birthday our kids and their girls came over and we had fried shrimp and fries. While we were waiting for the oil to get hot, Drew seemed eager for Rob to open his gift, so he sat down and Drew handed him the bag. Inside was a the shirt that said “Grandpa Est 2025.” And mine was on the bottom of the bag. We were so excited and still are! They are due February 9th. They told us first because we were about to head out of town and…

    Wednesday Hodgepodge 1.24.24

    1. Do you have a word for the year (WOTY)? If so, and you’d like to share, please share. How do you decide on a word? If you don’t have a word are you still on the hunt for one for 2024? I did the word of the year once, I believe. Every year I’m like I’m going to choose a word and every year I feel like it’s the same thing, so I don’t do it. 2. January 23rd is National Pie Day…will you celebrate? Do you like pie? What’s your favorite? I do like pie, but it’s not…

Grand entrances Welcome & Toasts while people finished dinner First Dances We danced to Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden. Then the party really got started and that band hit the stage. The Bride and Groom wanted pictures with everyone, so they did a fast photo, where the band played 1 song and Drew and Caitlyn ran from table to table and got pictures with each table group. Here’s a few of those pics… From there…

    Wedding::Getting Ready

I’ve been trying to decide how to tackle sharing the professional wedding photos, because there’s a ton of them and I’m obsessed with them. So worth the money spent for Samantha. I decided I’m going to do weekly or maybe twice a week posts depending on the time I have and other posts I need to get done. Today’s post is many of the “getting ready” pictures. Wedding

This post will cover the wedding ceremony, social hour, and reception. In case you missed what happened the rest of the day you can read about that here>>>Pre-Wedding Day Wedding Ceremony The ceremony was just so special. I always find it so bizarre how wedding ceremonies are often like 5 or 10 minutes. There’s was about 40 minutes. He later told me he was getting emotional with the bridal party walking down the aisle and “Marry Me” (by Train) being played by the string quartet. Sweetest moment – Drew and Caitlyn did not see each other before the wedding, so…

    Pre-Wedding Day

As I worked on this wedding day post, I realized it was going to be really long with tons of pics from my and other’s cellphones. I have since divided it into 2 different posts to keep it a little shorter. I posted this pic on FB really early on Saturday morning. I had actually woke up at 3am and ended up getting up at 3:30. I just kept thinking about all I had to do and just decided to go ahead and get up to glue twine on the back of the pew flowers. I didn’t realize we had…

    Friday – Wedding Week

Friday was wedding eve!! Still so much to do, but Rob and I were ready to hit the ground running. We went over to Walmart to get labels for the water bottles for social hour. I had taken all the plastic labels off, because they are just an eye sore and I had planned to have the bottles on the tables. We realized there was a little bit of the sticky stuff on the bottles and we knew we needed to cover that. We printed the wedding logo on the labels and had my mother-in-law stick the labels on. We…

    Thursday – Wedding Week

Thursday, Rob and I got up and put the table seating sign together. We had it designed where the tables could be updated and switched out, because you know there is always people can’t come at the last minute. However, by Thursday there wasn’t going to be time to update and reprint the table sheets. It was going to be that way even if more people couldn’t come. After that on our schedule was to go get the tea and put it in the fridge at the church. We ended up at Kroger. From there, it was time to deliver…

    Wednesday – Wedding Week

I’m doing a day by day recap for part of Wedding Week. So here we go… Wednesday, I only worked for a couple hours. I was feeling overwhelmed at all I had left to do before Thursday, which was the day we were set to start decorating the reception hall. Alex came over that afternoon to meet up with one of the grooms men’s mom who was dropping stuff off for the lake house, which is where Drew, and Alex and several of the grooms men were going that night for the bachelor party Wednesday and Thursday. We also cleared…

We decided that since family would in town for Alex’s graduation that this would be great timing to go ahead and throw a housewarming party. Read along to find out how it went… We had quite the spread of food Lots of family and friends After allowing time to make sure everyone was there, we had the 3 grandfathers come up one by one and give advice and a…

    Graduation Party with the Fam

I’m continuing on with posts about Drew’s graduation weekend. This should be the final post from that fun weekend. Saturday we were up bright and early to get to Jordan-Hare. When we were done there we went home to change clothes and load up the cars to head out to Beauregard, where my in-laws hosted the family party for Drew. Friday night the water slide was delivered. Rob’s mom and step dad as well as his sister and our nieces did a great job of setting up and decorating for the party. Drew and I went to get the chicken…
