    Scavenger Hunt Sunday #3

    Sunset I’m so sad I was not able to capture a real sunset this past week. With our sunset occurring about 4:45, it makes it a bit of a challenge for me to take a pic of it. So I improvised by taking a picture from my front door and using the “Magic Sunset Action” from Coffee Shop Blog. Black & White Day in the Life Since I work the 2nd shift, the part of the day that I’m home is spent hanging out with Daisy. Last week, I went outside to see if I could capture her going after…

    Project 366 Rewind {Week 2: Chilly}

    I’m much later posting this than I’d hope. Life happens! Today (well, last night) life included my husband getting sick to the point of dehydration and being admitted to our local hospital. I’m sitting the room with him now as he sleeps and has fluids pumped into his arm. I’m exhausted…going on about 4 hours of sleep in the last 24 hours. ๐Ÿ™ 8. Rain: It seems like we’ve had constant rain for the last few weeks. 9. Daisy: Here’s Daisy Girl standing at my bedroom door waiting to come in. 10. 1 Chronicles 4:10: My Grandmother gave me this.…

    Project 366 Rewind {Week 1:Fresh Start}

    This weeks theme was fresh start. A few of my entries this week correlate with the theme in one way or another. 1. New Desk Calendar: Before Christmas Target had a bunch of cute calendars in their $1 section. There’s just something about a fresh, clean, unwrinkled calendar that makes me feel good. 2. 2012 Chick-Fil-A Cow: Rob and Drew went to the Chick-Fil-A (Peach Bowl) and got all sorts of goodies. This CFA Cow was an exclusive that only people that went to the bowl game received. 3. New Tug-o-War Toy: Here Daisy’s playing tug-o-war with Drew. As you…

    Scavenger Hunt Sunday #1

    One Color Laundry I was actually almost done with laundry when I took this picture so, it was not even a full basket. Usually the bed is covered with clean clothes waiting to be folded. Empty Rob got this money clip when he graduated from Auburn. You can tell by looking it that it’s never been used, which means that it remains empty. One Dozen Rob bought these at Walgreens during an after Christmas sale. Soft Daisy’s coat is so soft, especially after it’s been brushed. Here she is protecting her bone as she sleeps. So sweet!

    Memories, Dreams, and Reflections 2011

    1. Me! In 2011, I was proud to finally get a job, that I love. Going from a temp employee to part of the full time staff is great. You already know everyone. You know how to do the job. It only gets better from here! 2. I Love You I love my boys and Daisy. I also love the background in this photo: Auburn, Toomer’s Oaks, and the tradition being illustrated here. 3. Still Laughing… I know I’ve got some funny pics, but for some reason, I can’t seem to remember what they are. So I chose this one…

    Christmas Day {2011}

    Christmas Day was quite enjoyable. Rob and I woke around 9 am and couldn’t believe the kids had let us sleep so long. We jumped out of bed and got breakfast in the oven and unloaded our stockings. We enjoyed our breakfast of sausage balls and apple fritters. Daisy was very excited about what Santa brought; a braided bone and some doggy ‘candy.’ After finishing up with breakfast and stockings we settled down in front of the Christmas tree to open presents. Santa brought the boys a balloon maker with the long balloons that can be made into balloon animals.…

    Our Tree {2011}

    I promised you some pics of the tree decorated. So here ya go. She’s a little on the short side and nice and wide. Yah, she fits riiiiight in. ๐Ÿ˜‰ She’s perfect for our front room that luckily is quite roomy. This is my new ornament that I got at our Sunday School class party. Every year we do an ornament dirty Santa. I don’t think I ever showed the one I got last year, so here it is. My Mom included 3 of my Granny’s Santa Coke Ornaments. Here’s 2 of them. I guess Granny doesn’t put up a…

    30 days of Thankfulness – Day 25

    Today I’m thankful for the little things in life. The laughter of my children, the beautiful fall colors, the butterflies in the spring, the smell of homemade spaghetti sauce cooking, the silliness of Daisy, the comfort of my bed. All these are little pretty “insignificant” things, but they make me smile and happy even when things seem to be going all wrong.

    30 days of Thankfulness – Day 12

    I am thankful for my dog, Daisy. She is such an awesome companion. She is the perfect dog for our family. I am very thankful for Tracy, who gave Daisy to us. Daisy: — is playful. — is beautiful. — is funny. — is our protective, guard dog. — is intelligent. — is silly. — is playful. — is a puppy at heart. — loves to chew on bones. — loves to play tug-a-war. — wishes she could sleep in our bed. — is a chaser of squirrels and chipmunks in our backyard. — is energetic.

    Second July 4th Trip 2011::Blue Ridge, GA {Day 1}

    It’s just ridiculous that I take so many dang pictures that I can’t get my post up for the trip we took over the 4th, so I decided to break it down into days. Here’s the first day of our trip, which included driving up to Blue Ridge, getting the keys to the cabin, eating dinner, going grocery shopping, and preparation of some of the meals for the weekend. Here‘s where we stopped to let Daisy out and it had a scenic view. Circular brick walk way And here’s the front of our cabin, our home for a few days!…

    2011::Fort Worth, TX

    Saturday We left Saturday morning at crack-o-dawn to head down to get Drew. Drew was in Orange Beach, AL for a soccer tourney. He had gone down earlier in the week since it was spring break to enjoy some time on the beach before his games began on Saturday. So that was about a 4 hour detour. We stayed for both games. Got to have some Shrimp Po-boys at the Shrimp Basket. We got out of town about 3ish. Spring Break traffic was horrific, so we ended up going a different way. We had planned to drive straight through, but…

    101 in 1001

    Over the years I’ve seen various other bloggers work towards completing 101 tasks in 1001 days. Although, I already have a bucket list, many of the tasks on my bucket list are things I’m sure I’ll never do in my life time. However with this 101 in 1001, I’ve tried to think of tasks/goals that are achievable in this time frame. Start date: Friday, February 18, 2011 End date: Friday, November 15, 2013 I would encourage you to make each day count and maybe making a list like this will give you a little motivation. If you decide to do…

    Update on Life {a post with NO pictures}

    I’ve been wanting to update on what’s been going on. I’m enjoying so much doing the 365 Project, but this blog wasn’t meant to be mainly a photography blog. Although, this blog has turned into much more that I had originally planned, which was to chronicle the lives of my family, the good, the bad, and sometimes even the ugly! Life is starting to rev back up again. Drew starts back to soccer practice this week. He’s already returned to his weekly scout meetings and D-group sessions. He’s thinking of trying out for the JV track team. This weekend he’ll…
