How is it the end of another month? I’m just flabbergasted! Time goes by so quickly when you look back. Anyway, here’s my post about February! This month I was happy about: getting a free meal for Valentine’s Day. This month I was sad about: my sis-in-law moving and the situation with Mr. Penny. Somethings I accomplished this month are: finishing editing the wedding that I photographed in January! Something new I did was: keep my niece for 3 days. Books I read were: The Help, but I actually had to give up on it. I’ll try it again later.…

This year the Friday before Valentine’s Day we had a lovely dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. Rob’s company paid for our dinner so we enjoyed a full 3 course meal. Here’s what we had: Appetizer: Wild West Shrimp Main Entres: White Cheddar & Bacon Stuffed Filet (me) Mashed Potatoes Mixed Green Salad Bacon Wrapped Filet (Rob) Seasoned French Fries Steakhouse Mac & Cheese Dessert: LongHorn Dessert Sampler It was an amazing dinner and we practically rolled out of there we were so full! Had leftovers to boot. So on Valentine’s Day, I surprised him with gift hampers tasmania. I got a…

This week was been a whirlwind! One of our nieces, ‘Toady,’ stayed with us this week. Her parents (Rob’s sister and her hubby) are preparing to make a big move across country, so we agreed to keep Toady, who’s the oldest of three children. Every morning we would get up and I drove her about 45 miles to her Pre-K class. I hung out at their apartment for the 3 hours that she was there and then I’d pick her up and we drove back to Auburn. It’s been fun to be able to get to know her better. She’s…

WARNING: Bathroom Story So my first silly story is about something that just happened to me here at work. This lady comes up to the Circulation desk and talks to my student worker. I noticed that she had a look of disgust as she was talking. She walks off and my student worker tells me that one of the women’s bathroom is disgusting and that she can’t even use 4 of the stalls. Luckily that bathroom has 8 stalls. I get up to go see what she’s talking about. I’m like “wow, wonder what I’ll find in here.” I’m visualizing…

This month I was happy about: getting a “Leading Performance (exceeds expectations)” on my 1st end of the year evaluation at my job. This month I was sad about: Rob being sick. Something I accomplished this month was: just surviving! I had 2.5 days of Rob in the hospital and 3.5 days of Rob being gone working an Emmaus Walk. Now for many of you, you’re thinking woop-de-do, but my work schedule and the kids’ school schedule don’t jive at all. I’m so thankful for my friends who helped me out during those days. Something new I did was: photograph…

“Maybe now that I’m 14, I don’t get tired. -Alex (He says this after saying he’s got so much energy and can’t believe he’s not tired after staying up so late). If only this was true; that the older we get the more energy we have! Why doesn’t it work this way?

I am in shock that 14 years ago today was one of the biggest days of my life. They day I gave birth to my 1st child. The day that would forever change me in so many good ways. The day I would realize how much love I could have for 1 individual. I love being able to celebrate birthdays with the boys, but this year I get a little sick to my stomach realizing how with each year he earns more responsibilities. Mainly, next year at this time he will be able to get a driving permit. Did I…

Ok, so Sunday evening (Jan.15) Rob and the kids and I watched National Treasure. Then, after putting the kids to bed Rob and I started watching P.S. I Love You. Not to long into the movie, Rob started complaining of gas pain, so I gave him some medicine. A little later he said he was feeling nauseous. He was ok for a while. I ended up finishing up the movie without him. After I retired to bed, Rob raced to the toilet just in time before vomiting. This continued every 30 minutes for awhile. It got worse from there, but…

1. Me! In 2011, I was proud to finally get a job, that I love. Going from a temp employee to part of the full time staff is great. You already know everyone. You know how to do the job. It only gets better from here! 2. I Love You I love my boys and Daisy. I also love the background in this photo: Auburn, Toomer’s Oaks, and the tradition being illustrated here. 3. Still Laughing… I know I’ve got some funny pics, but for some reason, I can’t seem to remember what they are. So I chose this one…

I recently saw a really cool blog post called “Year in Review” and I loved the way she did it, so I’m totally copying her. (Blog now removed) ๐ (This post took an eternity to write/gather. Hopefully everything makes sense and is in the right place ๐ my favorite moments of 2011: ================ [January] Started off the year with a new addition, Daisy and a National Championship. What did you do in 2011 that youโd never done before? Photographed a wedding Did you keep your new yearsโ resolutions and will you make more for next year? I don’t think I really had any besides the same ones I always want to do. Did anyone close to you give birth? Uhhhhhhh….I don’t think so. (hope I didn’t forget anyone.) Did anyone close to you die? Well, I’m not, but Rob and Drew are. Drew had been begging to go to the bowl game and after Rob and I discussed it we decided to let that be one of his gifts. It’s in Atlanta, so they can just go up for the day and come back. It’s a quality bowl game with lots of activities before the game. When Teenager opened it, he jumped in Rob’s arms. It totally made his Christmas! Here’s the tickets I displayed up on our Auburn Tree downstairs.

Christmas Day was quite enjoyable. Rob and I woke around 9 am and couldn’t believe the kids had let us sleep so long. We jumped out of bed and got breakfast in the oven and unloaded our stockings. We enjoyed our breakfast of sausage balls and apple fritters. Daisy was very excited about what Santa brought; a braided bone and some doggy ‘candy.’ After finishing up with breakfast and stockings we settled down in front of the Christmas tree to open presents. Santa brought the boys a balloon maker with the long balloons that can be made into balloon animals.…

Christmas Eve day was fairly busy. Not as busy at the 2 days before, but still a little busier than I would have preferred. But like this entire Christmas season, for some reason, for us everything has been so different. I won’t go into all the reasons why, but it’s just been bizarr-o. Oh I digress… Thursday Rob and the kids went to Newnan, because one of Rob’s Facebook friends was selling a 42″ plasma TV for super cheap. Although, we weren’t in need of a TV, it just wasn’t a deal we could pass up. So Christmas Eve, Rob…

I promised you some pics of the tree decorated. So here ya go. She’s a little on the short side and nice and wide. Yah, she fits riiiiight in. ๐ She’s perfect for our front room that luckily is quite roomy. This is my new ornament that I got at our Sunday School class party. Every year we do an ornament dirty Santa. I don’t think I ever showed the one I got last year, so here it is. My Mom included 3 of my Granny’s Santa Coke Ornaments. Here’s 2 of them. I guess Granny doesn’t put up a…

I made these handmade gifts for my coworkers. They are super easy and super inexpensive. I think for a set of 4, it cost about $1.40. I had lots of fun choosing the paper for each person that reflected their personalities. They were quite a hit. *Remember to allow 30 days before using the coasters for HOT stuff. Materials: Mod Podge Foam paint brushes Paint scraper Scrapbook paper Ceramic tiles Polyurethane Felt or felt feet Directions: 1. Cut the paper to fit the tile. I used a scrapbook paper cutter. 2. Use a paintbrush to spread the Mod Podge on…

Cherry Cordial M&M’s are so amazing! I couldn’t believe how much they taste like a chocolate covered cherry without the juice of the cherry. If you like Chocolate covered cherries, you should try them and see what you think. Peanut Butter M&M’s are pretty much what you would expect. Chocolate M&M’s with a peanut butter filling. Yummy!
