    How is it the end of another month? I’m just flabbergasted! Time goes by so quickly when you look back. Anyway, here’s my post about February! This month I was happy about: getting a free meal for Valentine’s Day. This month I was sad about: my sis-in-law moving and the situation with Mr. Penny.     This year the Friday before Valentine’s Day we had a lovely dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. Rob’s company paid for our dinner so we enjoyed a full 3 course meal.     This week was been a whirlwind! One of our nieces, ‘Toady,’ stayed with us this week. Her parents (Rob’s sister and her hubby) are preparing to make a big move across country, so we agreed to keep Toady, who’s the oldest of three children. Every morning we would get up and I drove her about 45 miles to her Pre-K class. I hung out at their apartment for the 3 hours that she was there and then I’d pick her up and we drove back to Auburn.     WARNING: Bathroom Story So my first silly story is about something that just happened to me here at work. This lady comes up to the Circulation desk and talks to my student worker. I noticed that she had a look of disgust as she was talking. She walks off and my student worker tells me that one of the women’s bathroom is disgusting and that she can’t even use 4 of the stalls.     This month I was happy about: getting a “Leading Performance (exceeds expectations)” on my 1st end of the year evaluation at my job. This month I was sad about: Rob being sick. Something I accomplished this month was: just surviving! I had 2.5 days of Rob in the hospital and 3.5 days of Rob being gone working an Emmaus Walk.     Ok, so Sunday evening (Jan.15) Rob and the kids and I watched National Treasure. Then, after putting the kids to bed Rob and I started watching P.S. I Love You. Not to long into the movie, Rob started complaining of gas pain, so I gave him some medicine. A little later he said he was feeling nauseous. He was ok for a while.     Headed the Chick-Fil-A Bowl

    Well, I’m not, but Rob and Drew are. Drew had been begging to go to the bowl game and after Rob and I discussed it we decided to let that be one of his gifts. It’s in Atlanta, so they can just go up for the day and come back. It’s a quality bowl game with lots of activities before the game. When Teenager opened it, he jumped in Rob’s arms.     Christmas Day was quite enjoyable. Rob and I woke around 9 am and couldn’t believe the kids had let us sleep so long. We jumped out of bed and got breakfast in the oven and unloaded our stockings. We enjoyed our breakfast of sausage balls and apple fritters.     I made these handmade gifts for my coworkers. They are super easy and super inexpensive. I think for a set of 4, it cost about $1.40. I had lots of fun choosing the paper for each person that reflected their personalities. They were quite a hit. *Remember to allow 30 days before using the coasters for HOT stuff.     Cherry Cordial M&M’s are so amazing! I couldn’t believe how much they taste like a chocolate covered cherry without the juice of the cherry. If you like Chocolate covered cherries, you should try them and see what you think. Peanut Butter M&M’s are pretty much what you would expect. Chocolate M&M’s with a peanut butter filling. Yummy!
