I forgot to tell ya yesterday that yesterday morning when I got up and went into the bathroom, I was holding my breath. Knowing that a mouse might be on one of the sticky traps, I was scared. I turned the light on and my heart sunk when I saw the poor little mouse on the trap. I thought to myself, “well, we gotcha!” I stood there for awhile looking at it. She was starting to move. ICK! Yesterday Rob got home and asked me if I got his email. I said no. He said well I have a surprise for you. I asked “a good one or a bad one?” He said bad! So we go into the bedroom and he said open up the bottom drawer of the armoir. He said “open it up and and jump back”. So I did. Well, we just found out that our cruise that is supposed to leave in 33 days was cancelled. They are using the Sensation, which was the ship we were going out on and 2 other ships for hurricane relief. Sooo…we’re trying to decide whether to just save that money for another vacation or book another cruise during that time. We’ve got several options, so we’ll probably end up rebooking out of Tampa or Jacksonville. It’s pretty much like starting over. Sheesh! We are home finally! I’m exhausted. I’m in the process of unpacking, washing, cleaning, going through mail, and the list goes on! Here’s a couple pics from our trip! I love to travel, just love it. But what I don’t love is getting ready to travel. Cleaning the house, packing, cleaning out the car, making sure we have everything, going to the store, paying bills, and the list goes on and on. Drew went bug catching today. We keep getting these little black millipede/caterpillar like bugs in the house, but they die real fast. I guess because of the cool climate inside. Anyway, so he decided he wanted to get some of these. He made a contraption with 2 different size plastic lids. Here’s what he said to the bug: “Hey little bug. I’ve trapped you in your new home. This summer is flying by like it always does! I’ve been juggling time with my kids with trying to get stuff done for work! I just love people who say that teachers get off 3 months for summer and yada-yada-yada! I know that I only get 9 weeks off and 1 to 2 of those weeks, I’m usually in workshops all day! The rest of the summer I’m busy trying to make games, write lesson plans, look for activities, make study sheets, learn new curriculums, etc. etc!!!! So I digress. This reminded me that I didn’t post about T baby’s 15 month appointment the other day! He’s 24 lbs. 11 oz. and 31 inches long, which about 50th percentile. The doctor asked if he was walking and climbing and going all over the place. I told him he wasn’t walking yet. I said that he was just taking 3 or 4 steps here or there. He said well that’s walking:-) I was like well he’s not walking across the room yet. He said not to worry and that he’ll be walking very soon. I guess he could tell by the…

Wow! Just listened to another report from the Team Endorphins Blog (blog removed). My Uncle and his partner Shanna are fighting 106 degree weather in the Mojave Desert! The crew also had to deal with swarms of bees! Uh-oh! Dad! 🙂 (My dad’s on the crew!) Anyway listening to these is so inspiring! They started in San Diego, CA and are now in on their way to Williams, AZ, which is their next time station!
