So I know everyone is out there making their lofty list of new years resolutions (NYR). I found this article about the percentages of people who keep their resolutions. I think the main thing with NYR is that people make them on the first day of the year. Keep them on their mind for short time and end up forgetting about most of them by February or March. Where has the time gone? Drew is N I N E today! You don’t know how old that makes me feel. I’ve spent much of the day reflecting on this day 9 years ago. I look back and think how young and naive I was at the time, but SO didn’t realize it back then. I guess maybe when Alex turns 9, I’ll feel the same way about that time, too. Tomorrow is the weigh-in day for a weight loss challenge that most of my work is participating in. I’ve talked about this a little bit over on my other blog. I found a journal that I had to do in 7th grade. I’ll never forget my flamboyant, outspoken 7th grade English teacher, Mrs. Talbert. Sorry I’ve been MIA, but this past week has been hectic. Friday we had an Auburn Diamond Club banquet. Then, my dad, who I haven’t seen since 2002 came to visit and I was really excited that he was able to come. We enjoyed the beautiful weather by walking around on campus while showing him around. Yawn… I’m so tired! The party with the five boys plus mine went pretty well. They enjoyed the surprise, which was an Auburn basketball game. He wasn’t thrilled with that at first, but Drew got to meet some cheerleaders and had his birthday announced during the game. After the game, we came back and they played. We did pizza for dinner and opened presents. They played more, and then we did cupcakes. Through the night, they had some spats.
