Tonight we were out at the soccer fields for our Cub Scout Pack Meeting. During the Summer, we’re much more laid back and try and do something fun, easy, but still something where the boys are making good use of their time. We’re in the first full week of summer, so keeping the boys busy is key to my sanity. Drew has a lot going on through the entire summer. Alex has a couple weeks of activities, so he has a lot more down time. We finally took advantage of the free bowling passes that the kids always bring home right before summer starts. Today I took Drew to the dentist, because last week at his orthodontist appointment, they expressed that he was still having over crowding and they felt it necessary to remove 4 permanent teeth. Do this this will make more room and allow the teeth to spread out a bit so his front teeth don’t have to jut forward anymore. Saturday we dropped Drew off at a friend’s house as he would be riding up with another player for the 3rd game of state cup. The rest of us ventured over to Columbus, GA for part of a day. Last weekend, we ventured up to North Alabama, because Drew was competing in State Cup Soccer. He had a game Friday night and Sunday morning. Since we were going to have all Saturday with no games, we decided to stay about an hour away from the fields at Joe Wheeler State Park in the Lodge. Nice, large rooms with beautiful views of the lake. If you’re looking for a pristine place to stay I would not recommend this place. Last weekend we were up in Decatur, AL, we made a quick trip up to Ethridge, TN to visit the Amish community that Rob had heard about. We did it on a bit of whim after putting gas in the car, so we did not know exactly where to go. We followed the signs to the Lawrenceburg Visitor Center until had driven all the way through to Ethridge. -Drew washed his cell phone in the washer. There was a loud banging noise after I started up the dryer, so I stopped it to see what was in there. In case this happens on your washer, better have it checked by an expert in washer and dryer repair. I was happy it wasn’t an ink pen, but was really sad to see it was his phone. Today Drew played in the 2nd of game of the State Cup. He got to play on the field with the stadium type bleachers and a press box. I like this shot because it looks like he’s running on air.
