By | December 1, 2020

Memories of the Month - Here's a great idea for wrapping up the month with a set of questions to remember how your last month with. I love going back and reading through what happened throughout the years.

This month I was happy about: having a little break for Thanksgiving.

This month I was sad about: just been kind of in the dumps here and there throughout this month. Not for any other reason that just tired and stressed, I guess.

Here’s my rating system for entertainment:
♥ ♥ = Love it! A must read/see!
♥ = Really good! Highly recommend.
✓ ✓ = Good, not great
✓ = Not much to talk about
X = Awful. Total waste of time

Movies I watched were:
Alex and I watched a bunch of movies.
Happy Death Day! – ♥
Happy Death Day 2U! – ♥
Alone – X
Don’t Breathe – ✓ ✓
Rob and I watched: Social Dilemma (Netflix) – ♥ a painfully eye-opening movie about cellphone use and social media and how they are rigged to keep us addicted.

TV Shows I watched were:
Virgin River Season 2 – Netflix ♥ ♥ Netflix released season 2 over Thanksgiving break. I binged it in two days. So good. Can’t wait for Season 3!
Friday Night Lights (NBC App) Season 2/3 ♥ ♥ Rewatching
Brothers & Sisters (ABC App) Season 1/2 ♥ ♥ I feel like I may have watched some of this back when it was on, but am really enjoying it.
Lots on YouTube

Rob and I watched:
The Conners ✓ ✓
Young Sheldon ♥ ♥
NCIS ✓ ✓
NCIS LA ✓ ✓
NCIS NO ✓ ✓
The Good Doctor ♥ ♥
The Office (Netflix) Season 8 & 9 ✓ ✓
The 100 (Netflix) Season 2 ✓ ✓ – watching with Alex. He’s rewatching it while we see if for the first time.

Things I read:
Bible App Plans: When You Fell Overwhelmed
9 Common Lies Christians Believe – all 4 sections

Podcasts I listened to: I actually didn’t really listen to any podcasts this month.

My favorite song this month was:
What Love Looks Like by Elle Limebear

What I remember about work was: the drama that I’m missing out on but hearing about from the periphery. As well as time to interview and hire folks.

A lesson I learned this month was: this is a lesson that I have to be retaught all the time. I’m not sure when it will ever sink in, but I’m just too trusting of all people in general. For better or worse.

A friend and I: volunteered at the Wesley college ministries Thanksgiving dinner.

My favorite pic that I took was:
This is my in-law’s beautiful rooster.

The favorite thing I cooked was: the Cajun Andouille Dressings that I’ll post a recipe for soon.

Drew was: working both his internship and his warehouse job. Glad he’s still able to come over and spend time with us.

Alex was: in trouble, but we’re seeing a lot of positives out of this.

Rob: started teaching an Advent bible Study with our friend, Margaret on zoom, of course.

The thing I’ll remember most from this month was: doing Thanksgiving during COVID.

In case you missed my “The Weekly” Posts, here’s the ones I wrote for September:
11.1-14.2020
11.15-21.2020
11.22-28.2020

Look back at last month.

Your recommendation of Virgin River comes just in time for the weekend, thank you. Can’t wait to check out your Cajun stuffing recipe. The name has me interested. Glad something good came of Alex’s troubles. Your Bible study about being overwhelmed would be something I would like to know more about. I feel like I am failing at everything these days.
