Continued from Part II. The first day I was in Auburn, Rob and I decided to walk to campus. We ended up over at the stadium, where it was open, because they were inside doing some cleaning. Rob talked me into going in, so we could go all the way up to the top to look out over campus. Needless to say, it was an awesome site to see. Jordan-Hare is much larger than Texas Tech’s stadium and it was a really beautiful view of campus. After coming down, as we were walking to the gate where we came in,…

Continued from Part I. So I was planning to visit Rob over spring break and I was moving to Auburn at the end of the semester. The catch was that my Grandparents, parents, and family knew nothing about this. Since they didn’t know I’d already been there once, I had to tell them that I was going there in March. I also had to wait until after I went so that I could say that I liked it there and have more to back up my plan. I went and visited over Spring Break. I had a great time, confirming…

I’ve been under a great deal of ‘work’ stress, so I haven’t been writing much. That doesn’t mean I haven’t been thinking of things to write about. In fact, I found a great blog today, where JenMom does a beautiful job talking about her past. I had actually thought of lots of great things to write about that you don’t know about me, especially from my past. No I don’t have skeletons in my closet. It’s nothing like that. That leads me to tell you about Rob and I. I’ve only mentioned briefly to you that we met on AOL.…

Drew and I were headed to Hobby Lobby this evening to get stuff for his Pinewood Derby car. All of a sudden it wreaked of 9 year old gas! Him: *sniff-sniff-sniff*, What’s that smell? Me: *Chuckle, while rolling down the windows* You-woo farted. I’ll do what my dad used to do and we can play freeze out. Roll down on the windows when it’s freezing out. Gah! That stinks. Him: *in a squatting position* I can’t help it. I got the farts. Me: Squeeze your butt cheeks together when you fart. Helps it not smell so bad. That’s what I…

Appetizer Choose one: Popcorn, Pizza, Pretzels, Peanuts, or Pasta. Pizza Soup Describe your personality in terms of a particular vehicle. Hmmm…..Beemer Salad If you won a shopping spree, from which store would you want it to be? Well, it would depend on how much the shopping spree was for, but probably Target! Main Course Which television show re-runs do you enjoy watching? I Love Lucy Dessert If you could look into the future, how far down the road would you like to see? 10 years? 100 years? A million? Probably just a year ahead. Going to far ahead is scary.

Where has the time gone? Drew is N I N E today! You don’t know how old that makes me feel. I’ve spent much of the day reflecting on this day 9 years ago. I look back and think how young and naive I was at the time, but SO didn’t realize it back then. I guess maybe when Alex turns 9, I’ll feel the same way about that time, too. Then… Now, here he is with his new pet that he got for his birthday.

Appetizer About how many times per day do you check your email? 10-15 Soup If you had the money to collect something really valuable, what would it be? Hmm…I’m not sure. I enjoy collecting my clowns. Salad Write a sentence using the letters of your favorite beverage. (Example: The egret admires.) Did It Every Time Cause Oscar Kicked Erin (does that make any sense? Tomorrow is the weigh-in day for a weight loss challenge that most of my work is participating in. I’ve talked about this a little bit over on my other blog. The jist of it is, is that we each have to lose 14 lbs. by May. If each of the 4 teams members does that, we get our names entered to win $2,500 each. I won’t bore you with my goals and all that. If you’d like to know more, let me know and I can give you the link to my other blog, where I’ll hopefully be journaling how…

Appetizer What comes to mind when you see the color orange? Auburn, baby!!! Soup Did you ever get in trouble while you were in school? If so, what was it for? The only thing that comes to mind is one time in 4th grade, I was cheating on a times tables test. I just remember the teacher (who wasn’t my favorite) walked by and noticed the cheat sheet I had. She took it from my desk, stared me down, and called my first and last name. I knew exactly what she was thinking and that’s all the punishment I needed.…

I found a journal that I had to do in 7th grade. I’ll never forget my flamboyant, outspoken 7th grade English teacher, Mrs. Talbert. A couple days a week we had an assignment, where we had to write in our journals. Here’s the first assignment, which was entitled: My first day at Richland Junior High (typed without fixing errors) My first day at Richland Junior High was one of the most confusing days of my life. Remembering what room to go to next, what my next class was, etc. etc. made it more and more difficult. but I did enjoy…

Appetizer How do you usually celebrate on New Year’s Eve? We usually watch the ball drop on TV and have senseless desire to be shivering with the thousands of people partying up in Time Square to welcome in the New Year. Someday we’ll do that! Soup Name one thing unexpected that happened to you in 2006. We decided to sell our house. Salad Where was your favorite place that you visited in 2006? We didn’t really go anywhere exciting this year, so I’d have to say visiting the house we want was my favorite place. Main Course What resolution is…

As you can see Alex got his foot stuck Christmas Eve, while trying a new kind of cookie we had made for Santa. At first we tried to just squeeze it out. Then, we tried to take the back of the chair off. We were thinking we were going to have to break or saw part of the chair to get it out. But then I had him turn and get back on his knees and were able to squeeze it out. Just a little adventure before putting out the cookies for Santa and getting tucked in for the long…

It seems that each year after Christmas everything we give or get for Christmas has invisible legs. What I mean by that is that as hard as I try, there is Christmas gifts everywhere. I try to find a home for all the new toys, DVDs, books, clothes, and whatever else. But I feel as though as soon as I put it down the invisible little legs pop out and they find their way back to the middle of living room floor! As much as I want someone to come look at the house, it’s probably a good thing no…
