    This is my last monthly summary for the year! I’m really glad I did this this year. It will be great to look back years from now and have a quick ‘summary’ of each month. I plan to keep doing it in 2013. I’m wondering what I else I should ask myself each month. Is there anything useful that could be added? Any suggestions?     Christmas Day was busy. We started off with homemade sausage balls and apple strudals. Then Rob and I looked in our stockings and the boys showed us what they had in their stockings, since that’s the one thing they can look at before Rob and I get up.     This month I was happy about: getting the kitchen done! This month I was sad about: Auburn high losing in the 3rd round of the playoffs.     This month I was happy about: getting away from it all for a week. This month I was sad about: coming back to all and dealing with a water leak, water damage, and rodents who decided to inhabit our house while we were gone.     This week was been a whirlwind! One of our nieces, ‘Toady,’ stayed with us this week. Her parents (Rob’s sister and her hubby) are preparing to make a big move across country, so we agreed to keep Toady, who’s the oldest of three children. Every morning we would get up and I drove her about 45 miles to her Pre-K class. I hung out at their apartment for the 3 hours that she was there and then I’d pick her up and we drove back to Auburn.     This month I was happy about: getting a “Leading Performance (exceeds expectations)” on my 1st end of the year evaluation at my job. This month I was sad about: Rob being sick.
