By | May 1, 2013

Memories of the Month - Here's a great idea for wrapping up the month with a set of questions to remember how your last month with. I love going back and reading through what happened throughout the years.

This month I was happy about: life in general. I feel God working through me in so many positive ways. I love it!

This month I was sad about: Alex’s continual complaining about his stomach bothering him and not sleeping good.

Something I accomplished this month was: 2 mission projects: 1st day of service with our church and 2nd day of service with our Sunday School class.

Something new I did was: successfully chair a position for Emmaus.

This year I’m going to rate the books & movies. Here’s my rating system:
♥ ♥ = Love it! A must read/see!
♥ = Really good! Highly recommend.
✓ ✓ = Good, not great
✓ = Not much to talk about
X = Awful. Total waste of time

Books I read were:
Cold Tangerines: Celebrating the Extraordinary Nature of Everyday Life by Shauna Niequist ♥ ♥
Praying for Strangers by River Jordan
(still reading…love it so far!)

Movies I watched were:
NONE

TV Shows I watched were:
McLeod’s Daughters (Netflix: currently on Season 8)
Criminal Minds
CSI
CSI New York
NCIS
NCIS: Los Angeles
Survivor
Dallas (Sad the season is over)
Bones
Hawaii Five-0

My favorite song this month was: didn’t have a particular song, just really shifting gears with the type of music I listen to in the car. Listening to mostly Christian stations now.

What I remember about work was: the stress of finals time.

A lesson I learned this month was: Proverbs is a book of lessons that teaches us to make wise decisions. Looking forward to learning much more as I continue on with this study.

A friend and I: ate lunch with our hubbys as they discussed the Cub Scout Summer trip.

My favorite pic (not previously posted) that I took was:
tub

I cooked: Pasta e Fagioli (recipe coming soon).

The boys were:
-Drew was busy finishing up JV soccer.
-Alex was busy testing the waters with this teacher and saying his stomach hurt.

My husband has: been super awesome! Thanks for catching my business books up and getting the taxes done without losing it with me.

The thing I’ll remember most from this month was: serving the Lord through missions.
