Memories of the Month {3.2012}

By | April 2, 2012

Oops! Almost forgot to finish up on this and get it posted.

This month I was happy about: booking a cruise for the 4 of us in September!! Squeeeel!

This month I was sad about: the passing of one of our cub scout leaders and the huge turn out at his funeral. The wonderful memories from February’s trip to the McWane center will have a bit of a dark lining in my memory because that was the last time I saw him. He had to leave just after getting there because he was not feeling well. I guess in many ways that was the serious beginning to his end. 🙁

Something I accomplished this month was: finishing my sister’s wedding pictures.

Something new I did was: quit drinking diet coke!

Books I read were: The Help, but I actually had to give up on it. I’ll try it again later.
Catching Fire
The Running Dream

Movies I watched were: none. I can’t remember for sure if I watched a movie or not, but I don’t think I did.

TV Shows I watched were:
Gilmore Girls
Hungry Girl (Cooking Channel)
Drop 5 lbs(Cooking Channel)
Teen Mom 2

With Rob, we watched:
Amazing Race
The Voice
The Mentalist
Criminal Minds
CSI
CSI New York

Shows we decided to quit DVRing and are no longer watching:
American Idol! Yes, I am so happy about this. 5 hours of one show each week is just too much.

My favorite song this month was:
Our Go by Chris Tomlin

What I remember about work was: finding out that a good friend of mine (who I also work with), his wife is expecting a baby.

A lesson I learned this month was: I can survive with out Facebook and Diet Coke!

A friend and I: were too busy this month. 🙁

My favorite pic that I took was:

I cooked:
Chocolate Chunk Brownies with Peanut Butter Cookie topping
Parmesan crusted pork chops with spaghetti and homemade sauce
Chicken with Kraft Fresh Take Cheese & Breadcrumb mix (Rosemary & Garlic) with oven baked Sweet potato fries

The boys were: busy. Alex started soccer and went on a field trip to Callaway with his 2nd grade class. Teenager had a concert & a competition. They enjoyed their spring break, just hanging around, going to game stop to spend some birthday money and gift cards. I took teenager shopping for some new shorts, too.

My husband was: overwhelmed with Cub Scouts Blue & Gold Banquet, District Pinewood Derby, and he was also asked at the last minute to help at another Emmaus Walk.

The thing I’ll remember most from this month was: finally getting to plan and book our cruise.
