For Spring Break we usually drive down to Florida to visit with Rob’s Grandparents and take in some Spring Training games. Our old son, Drew and Rob are the real baseball fans of the family. This year with Drew not being able to take off work and knowing that Alex could pretty much care less to go to baseball game and the fact that Sunday of Spring Break was Alex’s birthday, we decided to let him invite a friend and to go to amusements parks. We decided that we would try to attend games within about an hour of Tampa,…

Week 15 was April 12-18, 2021. I’m enjoying every day that I can while still working from home as I suspect that will be changing soon. Here’s some highlights of the week. Tuesday I brought Rob lunch at work and we sat outside near the pond behind his office. After work, I went outside to check on my newly transplanted tomato plants only to find that Kayleigh had dug some of them up and made a huge mess. Needless to say I was not happy. Wednesday Buster came to visit for the morning. He enjoyed laying on my warm heating…

Today, I’m continuing to discuss our Spring Break Trip. This is the 3rd full day of our trip. To have an idea on what to do during your Spring Break, see this here. On Tuesday, we got up earlier so we could drive over to Orlando for our day at SeaWorld! When planning the trip, we had originally thought we would have a day at the water park associated with Busch Gardens, Adventure Island. However we looked at the weather for that week and it was going to be lows in the 50s at night and highs in low 70s…

Here’s a quick drop of a few photos from this last week. Kayleigh’s eyes looked different when she was taking a nap. On Saturday, we went to watch some of Rob’s D-group guys play lacross. It was an exciting game against Homewood and Auburn won! It was such a beautiful day. After the game, Rob and I went to El Patron for a late lunch. I had a yummy margarita and the Burrito Blanco with steak. Sunday Rob cooked pork chop surprises out on the grill. We also tried Asparagus on the grill. I wrapped in foil with soy sauce.…

Welcome back to another week of iSpy! I heard from some of you that some of these prompts seemed kind of difficult. If you participated did they end up being as hard as you thought? I found a couple of them to be a little challenging, but that’s what makes me think more about those. Honestly, when I look through my list of prompts, I don’t usually have something preconceived in my head for what I want to do. In fact, I try really not to think about what I would do as I’m making the list. Anyway, let’s get…

Here’s my March Sentence a Day…maybe more like a paragraph a day depending on the day! 1 / Monday – In the office this week. Pretty chill day. Rob sent me flowers “just because” which was really sweet. Being that I’ve just been mentally exhausted and just really emotionally over so many things. It was a nice pick me up. 2 / Tuesday – Rainy morning makes for a hard morning. Not wanting to get out of bed, especially when going into the office. 3 / Wednesday – Rob and I ate lunch at Which Wich for Wicked Wednesday. So…

/arranging/ We are still working on re-arranging some stuff in our closet. I mentioned before that when we got new carpet upstairs it forced us to remove and pack up everything in the 3 bedrooms upstairs. This helped us to get a fresh start. We have an extra closet in the master that will become an extra closet for me. Rob has added storage in his office’s closet, where a lot that stuff will go. Once all that is done, I’ll finally show pictures of the new carpet upstairs. /craving/ Hmmm…I’m really not craving much of anything. I told Rob…

Here’s this last weeks summary in pics. Week 13 is March 29-April 4, 2021. I was looking at my seedlings and saw this little curly Q and just couldn’t help but take a picture of it. Nature is amazing! And Kayleigh just has the funniest expressions. She tilts her head sometimes when she’s listening intently. Cracks me up. Pumpkin flower Messy work hair Date night at Hamilton’s Downtown. Here’s dessert – Irish Cream Crème Brûlée. We also had the Fried Green Tomatoes and Shrimp, which we have loved in the past. Wasn’t great this time. Don’t need to get it…

This Easter was quite a bit more ‘normal’ than 2020! Hallelujah! Rob got up early to be at church by 6:30. Our church is one of the only churches that I know of still requiring you to sign up online. Of course, Easter is a very popular church going day, so all 3 in person services filled up quickly. Our church added a 7am service and that is why he needed to be there early. Not sure if I’ve ever mentioned it here, but he is a volunteer for the Media Team. He is in charge of song lyrics and…

Happy Easter weekend to everyone! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for joining along for the fun of photography! Here’s what I got this week… Sepia White – I used to collect clowns, but recently thought about it and realized they don’t bring me joy like they used to. I decided to pack them up all but a few. This clown that is mostly white. Its one of my favorites because she’s playing a flute (which I used to play) and her colors are subtle. Street – my street Starts with K – Katniss your choice – Side…

While in Florida for Spring Break, we did something a little different this year. We let Alex bring a friend and we went to some amusement parks! Alex loves roller coasters, and what better way to spend his 17th birthday than to be at Busch Gardens for almost more than 11 hours! That Sunday they were open 10am-9pm. We got there just a bit after 10am. Let me just say Busch Gardens is NOT Disney. There weren’t many people to help us. If so, then why not check over here to find the best gardening and landscaping services to assist…

Another month over with and I’m racing to get my end of the month posts done. I’m in the office this week, which means I’m exhausted when I get home, so I don’t feel like blogging after work, and last week was crazy so I’m a bit behind. Such is life! Today I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday. What We’re Eating Honestly yall! I am a bit burnt out with cooking right now. I have managed to throw some pasta in the instant pot. Rob recently cooked porkloin on the grill, which was tasty. I…

puzzle(d) – My puzzled look… journal – this is a journal I’ve had on my wishlist for awhile. Rob got it for me for the new year. I haven’t started using it because I want it to be the ‘right’ thing. The pages are not lined, which is playing into my decision. abstract – I had planned to take an abstract photo, but I was at work for a bit and remembered these crazy looking, abstract chairs. Aren’t they unique? path – path between shelves at work your choice – This is a pic of Rob on our hike last…

I’ve seen several blogger friends (Tanya/Shelly) do this post “10 Questions To Mark One Year of the Pandemic” from Laura Tremaine’s Podcast. I thought it was a really good idea to look back at the last year of going through a pandemic. What was life like in early 2020? Life was normal. We celebrated Drew’s birthday in Atlanta in January. Alex got his braces of in February. In March, Alex turned 16 and we did our annual Spring Training trip down to Florida. Alex got his Driver’s License right after getting back. I remember at some point early in the…

Hey yall! Hope everyone is doing well. I am recovering from a busy vacay full of theme parks and spring training games. However, I did manage to pull off getting all my pics taken this week. In fact, as always I took way too many pics. So this post will be a sneak peek of our vacation. I’ll be working on the post for the vacay this week. texture – I’m not a Phillies fan, but I am a fan of Matt Joyce!
