This fall I’m starting a Fall Bucket Photo Challenge…to gather the moments that feel like a memory, and the ones that might become one. Its not a checklist. Not a race. Just a way to notice what fills the bucket: light, color, memory, longing. The things we almost miss. The things we want to remember. Let’s curate photos that speak to autumn’s texture. Scenic drives, waterfall mist, roadside candy shops, quiet towns, and the way the light shifts in familiar places. Some will be from past trips. Some will be new. All will be chosen with care. If you’re feeling…

Fall is my absolute favorite, so I was thrilled to see this delightful mix of questions all centered around the season. 1. Fall officially rolls into the Northern Hemisphere on Monday (9/22)…what’s your favorite thing about fall? I love all things fall. Cooler temps that whisper rest, leaves turning like pages in a story, football weekends wrapped in team spirit and fleece, Halloween magic…masks, moonlight, and mischief, and the gentle crescendo of it all. Thanksgiving, where gratitude gathers around the table. 2. What’s one thing on your real or proverbial autumn bucket list? Here’s a Fall Bucket list that I…

Growing up my Granny, my Mom’s mom, was the best cook in my family. She always had banana nut bread or pumpkin bread stocked up in the freezer and any time I was walking out the door, she’d tell me to stop by the freezer and grab some bread to bring home. Ugh! How I miss her and her cooking! I’ve been making her Banana Nut bread for years. It’s really my favorite, but this last fall I had made a Fall Food Bucket List and this Pumpkin Bread was on there! Servings: Depends on what type of pan you…

Have you ever written a post and then for some reason it doesn’t get saved as you’re writing like it usually does? You just have a couple things left to do before you post and then, poof it’s gone. Then you’re so mad. You don’t want to have to rewrite the thing and you just want to move on with your day, but you also really want to post it. You swallow your anger and frustration and write it…again. That’s me right now. So aggravated! Deep breaths…Puts a smile on her face. Hey yall! It’s time for Monthly Musings for…

Pull this up on your phone or print it to give to the kids and see which of these items you can find! Click to Download…

Raise your hand if fall is your favorite season. Raise your hand if you are in a cooking rut like me. My friend, Leslie over at Once Upon a Time Happily Ever After asked me like a month ago to join in on the Autumn Bucket List fun. I finally had some time recently to think more about fall and really just the fact that we’re still in COVID season, too and what would be better than making a regular bucket list, but making a fall food bucket list! And that’s what I did! Here’s a list of 22 fall…

Today I’m sharing Monthly Musings for September. My favorite Fall tradition? My favorite things about fall is decorating as well as all the fall candles. And of course cheering on our Auburn Tigers. My favorite Halloween tradition? I am just not a big fan of Halloween itself. My kids always enjoyed dressing up and really enjoyed giving out candy more than trick or treating itself. I was a Pinterest mom before there was Pinterest! LOL! What will Halloween look like for this year for you and your family? If trick or treating is allowed, I’m sure Alex will put a…

It’s the time of year when pumpkin patches are visited, jack-o-lanterns are carved, and pumpkin seeds are toasted. Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas {Treats}! Today is Day 5 of our 12 Days of Christmas treats and we’re sharing a simple recipe for Nutella Pumpkin Bites. Give these a try for your next Christmas party! Servings: 24 Prep Time: 5 minutes + 30 minutes to chill Cooking Time: 15 minutes Ingredients: 1 cup of Nutella 1/3 cup of pumpkin pure 1/2 cup of confectioner’s sugar crescent rolls or…

I love these Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bars. Now I will preface this by saying I don’t love Pumpkin Pie, so I have found it’s the Pumpkin Pie spice that is the whole reason why. Consequently, I just leave that spice out when making stuff that asks for it. I never realized how adding pumpkin makes cake so moist. Try these next time your in the mood for a sweet treat and have your house smelling amazing while doing so. Servings: 24 bars Prep Time: 15 minutes Cooking Time: 30 minutes Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 tbs. pumpkin-pie spice (I…

One of my favorite parts of Fall is getting to enjoy caramel apples, but what would make it even better is not getting caramel all over my face in the process! Such a simple solution to the problem is slicing the apples up and then dipping them! What? So easy! Servings: 5 Prep Time: 20 minutes Cooking Time: 1-2 hours Ingredients: 1 bag (14 oz.) caramel candies 1/8 cup apple juice 1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice (optional, I’m not a fan, so I leave this out.) 5 apples sliced 1 bag (8 oz.) toffee bits Directions: 1. Put unwrapped caramels,…

Nothing says fall more than apples! I decided to kick the weekend off with some Homemade Cinnamon Applesauce. For my first time making it, it turned out pretty well. Rob’s Gramma was the first person I ever met who makes her own applesauce. Maybe after a few times of making it, it will be as yummy as hers. Servings: 3-4 Prep Time: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 4 hours
