August snuck up on me as new months usually do, while I was rinsing off Texas dust. Mushrooms took over the yard, LA dropped by with her usual sparkle, and the 21-year-old landed back home between leases; bringing laundry, late-night fridge raids, and that familiar mix of chaos and comfort. + Saturday we went to the lake for a few hours to meet up with some friends and they took us on a nice boat ride on Lake Martin. + We went by Pirate Island while exploring on the boat. + Their dog was fun. + Sunday I was glad that Alex and Madison came for lunch and hung out with us. + Saturday before going to the lake, my church had a Women’s Ministry Kick-off brunch, which was so lovely.

Alex, Rob, and I went the day we got back from our cruise. + Lots of veggies harvested from the garden when we got back! + And pretty flowers + Rob and I went to visit our new nephew (bottom R) and the 2nd newest nephew (bottom L).
