I made some labels for Alex’s clothing chest of drawers. I did this with Drew’s drawers awhile back and decided make some new ones for him. I’ve actually made a couple different sets both in black & white and color. I printed out the labels, cut them out, and used packing tape over the entire label to secure them and make sure they don’t get torn with everyday use. I used the template Avery 5376 (Business Cards) in Word with borders. You could even use the actual business cards that come ready perforated to save some time. The first set…

The other day I was inspired to try out an idea. I thought of curing up boneless, skinless chicken breasts into bite size or maybe a little larger pieces. Bread them and made a sauce to coat them in. I didn’t want to use the regular wing sauce, so I decided to make my own sauce. This is now added to our family favorite’s list. Last week Drew spent his first week at camp. He went away to Boy Scout Camp in North Carolina; Camp Daniel Boone. I always loved getting stuff while away at camp, so I had a lot of fun writing letters and packaging up little things to send him. Put a mark next to “Good Mom” deeds and helping the camp newbie feel the love at camp his first year! 🙂 On the packing list was of course a laundry bag. I found this in the $1 department at Target. The wedding pic I chose is from my wedding, which was way back when and hence, taken with film. The scanned pics aren’t that great, but this is one that people love including me. Back in March of 2008, Rob and I ventured out for our 6th cruise. It was very different from the previous 5 because we didn’t feel pressured to do everything or stick to a serious schedule. We just did what we wanted to and enjoyed it. We stayed up late most nights dancing the night away or singing along in the piano bar. Most cruises we push ourselves so hard during the day and we’re usually so exhausted it’s nearly impossible to stay up late. This weeks posting is called “Let’s Hear It For The Boys!” in honor of Father’s Day, since I have 2 sons this was quite difficult to choose. I ended up going with this cute one of my older son back when he was in Kindergarten. This was after “fun night” at school with his best friend. Isn’t this so cute!?!? Alex has been so into Legos lately. He had them strewn from wall to wall in the living room. He pulled them back out the other night, after having to clean them up last weekend. He was wise to keep them in the bucket. Alex started trying to recreate a boat he saw in a Lego book he found.
