For those of you who know me well know that I’m a city girl. I don’t mind the outdoors, but I’m not one who enjoys mosquitoes, chiggers, getting dirty & sweaty, and “roughing it”! Sleeping in a tent? Haven’t done that since I was probably 2 when my parents took me camping (unless I’m just dreaming that up)! Today we set up everything to make sure we had everything we need, like tents, sleeping…

Dear Alex, I’m not one for writing sappy letters anymore, but I was just amazed over the week we spent together during Spring Break. You amaze me. You discover and learn each every day. I love it when you say T-to (thank you) after I say thank you. I’m trying to teach you to say you’re welcome, but I think you’d rather say T-to instead. When I say I love you and you reply with wa-wuv u. Then, I say you need to say I love you too and then you say three! That’s hilarious. I find it quite humorous…

Today Rob and I celebrated Valentine’s Day. Remember how we celebrate it late. We had lunch at Red Lobster, while Uncle Nick watched the kids. I really enjoyed myself. We stuffed ourselves. We have so many leftovers, it’s not even funny. I’m on some new meds, which I think it’s interfering with my appetite. Anyway, so I gave Rob the movie, Fever Pitch and a couple other things. He got me the movie The Notebook and an autographed copy of Going Places! Yes, Rob now reads my blog.

For those of who know me well, know that I’m a reality TV addict! So the other night, I watched Next Food Network Star. I didn’t watch the first season so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But, I’m totally hooked now! I set the DVR to record the entire season. Watching the 2nd episode, I was so shocked to see all the preparation and work that goes into 1 episode of a cooking show. I was also surprised that they tape it live with no stops. If you mess up, oh well, you gotta keep going. Not only do…

Ok, why is it that work weeks creep by, but spring break flies by in the blink of an eye? It’s Wednesday already! Yes, I’m sorry for those of you who work year round and I know I’m lucky to have off when I do. I just can’t help it. I’m dreading going back to work, because for 2 straight weeks the kids will be taking the SAT10 and the ARMT. Yuck! Normally when I have a day off here or there I spend it cleaning, washing, you know all that fun stuff called house work? So I told myself…

Here’s Alex after having his first real haircut at the Barber Shop. He watched his Daddy and big brother get a haircut. When it was his turn, he sat up there. He didn’t utter a sound. He sat still. He was perfect! Drew threw a royal fit the first time he went there. I think having a big brother to watch first helped him know everything was going to be ok.

Hope everyone who celebrates the day is having the most romantic time evah! I’m sitting here figuring out what I’m going to cook for dinner feeling sorry for myself. 🙂 And for Monica, Rob and I don’t celebrate the day basically because he has always hated the day. It’s a commercialized holiday that he used to spend the evening stressing out over the plans that didn’t turn out the way he had planned. We decided that we would celebrate it the last weekend in March or the first weekend in April every year, but we never really do that either.…
