I am thankful for the opportunity to learn. My job offers free tuition for me at limited number of hours each semester. Although, I haven’t taken advantage of that. I have taken advantage of the professional development classes. I took my 2nd workshop today on Professional Ethics. A lot of it was common since, but we had a great discussion of the recent ethical issues at Penn State, among a list of other ethics issues in business, on other campuses, and even here at Auburn.

Today I’m thankful for the great Scouting program that we have here in Auburn. I’m very proud to say that my hubby, Rob is a huge reason that the pack that Alex is in is the biggest pack in Auburn and the best! 🙂 I’m thankful we have the opportunity to be able to fundraise to help, not only our fees for the year, but also the pack and the council. Drew uses his money for his fees to pay for all the camping trips through out the year. Many people when it comes time to narrowing down what activities…

I am thankful I am able to help others through giving blood. Today was my 2nd time to give blood. It’s such a rewarding feeling…a little woozy, but still great to know I’m helping others.

Today I’m thankful my awesome group of student workers. I’ve found through my experiences in my new job, that I love working with college aged ‘kids.’ The students I work with are anywhere from 18-26 years old. We don’t limit what majors are allowed to work in our department, which is really cool because we have students’ majors vary: education, engineering (of all sorts), pre-med, anthropology, philosophy, history, public relations. We also have a diverse group. I learn so much from these guys and gals. Talking to these kids, I’ve learned so much about other countries, especially India. I enjoy…

Today I’m thankful for my job. I love my job and even if I didn’t I’m thankful to finally have steady income after several year so of not having it. I love my job for many reasons… -an easy going, flexible, easy to work with, easy to talk to, boss (who hosts great parties) -great students who I get to work with and supervise -working at the university where I graduated from -great benefits -working in library is so much more than what most people would think (I’ll write a post about this later)

Today I’m thankful for our freedom. We get so wrapped in our daily lives that we don’t realize how lucky we are to: live where we want. do what we want. say what we want. It’s a luxury that is really taken for granted. I’m thankful for the soldiers that the risk their lives everyday and their families that sacrifice everyday.

Today I’m thankful for my friends. Today I had lunch with one of my “newer” friends and it was great. The more we’re together I realize, how alike we are in so many ways, and all the things we have in common. She’s someone I know I don’t have to act a certain way or do certain things to keep our friendship alive. Friendships are a 2 way street and we both give and take, which makes for a great relationship. I’m thankful for my “old” coworker friends, who I stay in touch with. We stay in contact through Facebook…

Today I am thankful for health insurance and the AU employee pharmacy. I am on the state retirement program again and although people gripe about it, we are truly blessed. $25 copay with great coverage. We also have really good drug insurance and what’s even better, Auburn University has their own pharmacy and all drugs are either $30 or free! AWESOME!! That is saving us a lot of money. I am thankful.

I’m going to do the 30 days of thankfulness challenge and they are in no particular order. I’m going to base what I’m thankful for according to my current life happenings. So today I’m thankful for my blog and the company that hosts it, Eleven2. The reason being, yesterday I was quickly trying to do something on here before I had to run out and get Alex from school. When I got back to the posts page in WordPress it showed NO POSTS! I had deleted every single post. 6 years of writing, 6 years of memories, 6 years of…

Earlier this year while going through all the stuff I got from my Grandmother’s house, I came across a book with a lot of my stuff from school. Seeing these Thanksgiving projects brought back many memorable memories and I just had to share them. My turkey from 2nd grade (I think) My Thanksgiving letter from 1st grade Now this! This I love! This was from 2nd Grade where our assignment was to tell How to Prepare a Thanksgiving meal…

Today after hours of slaving in the kitchen for tomorrow, I took a break to help the boys make these cute turkeys to share with everyone at Turkey Day tomorrow. Here are the ingredients, some of which we didn’t end up using. I would have taken step by step picture to show how we did it, but I was trying to keep the boys from wearing half the chocolate icing. 🙂

How are y’all? Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We’re still in Florida. I left my camera USB cable at home so I’m not able to upload and edit and post pics like I’d like to. ACK! I’ll have TONS to do when we get home Monday night, and Tuesday, and Wednesday….hahaha! Alex has been sick. He’s been off and on with his mood. We’ve had another dreadful task. I usually do medicine the lazy way and put it in his cups with no problems. But since we’ve been out of town, Rob decided Alex needed to be administered the…
