    Week 10 [2022]

    Last week we started the week off with Alex’s 18th birthday. He wanted to go to Mikata, which is a Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse. Drew joined us of course. Drew’s girlfriend Caitlyn was on a work trip in Virginia. Anyway, we all enjoyed steak, chicken, and shrimp with fried rice and veggies. So good. Then, we went home for cake, ice cream, and presents. I know Alex isn’t looking at the camera here. He’s actually looking at Drew for some reason, but I love his smile and the way Kayleigh’s tongue is out. One of the gifts we got for him…

    Week 8 & 9 [2022]

    2 weeks ago started out with a trip to the orthopedic for my shoulder. It hurts kind of all the time now, but especially when I lift my arm out. I ended up getting a steroid injection and am now doing a few appointments of physical therapy and my favorite place. It has just been one thing another the last few months with me. I also finally got my tomato, pepper, and herb seeds started inside. I got my haircut. Here it is straightened. One night we were in Rob’s home office and he was rearranging some things to make…

    Prime Purchases – Jan/Feb 2022

    Today I decided to link up with Tanya at The Other Side of the Road. This is my purchases from Amazon for January and February. Clothes I have a couple shirts with long spaces between buttons and if you’re not sitting perfectly straight it can gap. Another one that when I lift my arm up you can see too much skin, so I got these to wear underneath so I don’t have to worry about showing skin. haha! Camisole Rob needed some new jeans. Since we don’t have a JCPenney anymore (which is where we always got his jeans), I…

    Spring Break 2021

    For Spring Break we usually drive down to Florida to visit with Rob’s Grandparents and take in some Spring Training games. Our old son, Drew and Rob are the real baseball fans of the family. This year with Drew not being able to take off work and knowing that Alex could pretty much care less to go to baseball game and the fact that Sunday of Spring Break was Alex’s birthday, we decided to let him invite a friend and to go to amusements parks. We decided that we would try to attend games within about an hour of Tampa,…

    A Day at SeaWorld – Orlando, Florida

    Today, I’m continuing to discuss our Spring Break Trip. This is the 3rd full day of our trip. To have an idea on what to do during your Spring Break, see this here. On Tuesday, we got up earlier so we could drive over to Orlando for our day at SeaWorld! When planning the trip, we had originally thought we would have a day at the water park associated with Busch Gardens, Adventure Island. However we looked at the weather for that week and it was going to be lows in the 50s at night and highs in low 70s…

    Sentence a Day – March 2021

    Here’s my March Sentence a Day…maybe more like a paragraph a day depending on the day! 1 / Monday – In the office this week. Pretty chill day. Rob sent me flowers “just because” which was really sweet. Being that I’ve just been mentally exhausted and just really emotionally over so many things. It was a nice pick me up. 2 / Tuesday – Rainy morning makes for a hard morning. Not wanting to get out of bed, especially when going into the office. 3 / Wednesday – Rob and I ate lunch at Which Wich for Wicked Wednesday. So…

    Week 13 [2021]

    Here’s this last weeks summary in pics. Week 13 is March 29-April 4, 2021. I was looking at my seedlings and saw this little curly Q and just couldn’t help but take a picture of it. Nature is amazing! And Kayleigh just has the funniest expressions. She tilts her head sometimes when she’s listening intently. Cracks me up. Pumpkin flower Messy work hair Date night at Hamilton’s Downtown. Here’s dessert – Irish Cream Crème Brûlée. We also had the Fried Green Tomatoes and Shrimp, which we have loved in the past. Wasn’t great this time. Don’t need to get it…

    Busch Gardens – Tampa, FL

    While in Florida for Spring Break, we did something a little different this year. We let Alex bring a friend and we went to some amusement parks! Alex loves roller coasters, and what better way to spend his 17th birthday than to be at Busch Gardens for almost more than 11 hours! That Sunday they were open 10am-9pm. We got there just a bit after 10am. Let me just say Busch Gardens is NOT Disney. There weren’t many people to help us. If so, then why not check over here to find the best gardening and landscaping services to assist…

    What’s Up Wednesday ~ March 2021

    Another month over with and I’m racing to get my end of the month posts done. I’m in the office this week, which means I’m exhausted when I get home, so I don’t feel like blogging after work, and last week was crazy so I’m a bit behind. Such is life! Today I’m linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday. What We’re Eating Honestly yall! I am a bit burnt out with cooking right now. I have managed to throw some pasta in the instant pot. Rob recently cooked porkloin on the grill, which was tasty. I…

    Memories of the Month {3.2020}

    This month I was happy about: for more family time and working from home. A time to slow down a bit and actually be forced to get stuff done that otherwise wouldn’t. Just making the best of the situation. This month I was sad about: the whole coronavirus is a complete downer. It’s so sad to see all those that are suffering and all those that have died from it. It’s constant on the news and on social media. This year I’m going to rate the books & movies. Here’s my rating system: ♥ ♥ = Love it! A must…
