Tonight at the Boy Scout Court of Honor, Drew was awarded his Life Rank! Very exciting. So proud of his persistence in meeting his personal goals.

{one} how many times have you been a bridesmaid/maid of honor? I’ve been a bridesmaid one time for my best friend from high school. The sad part…I don’t have any pictures from that day. π {two} whatβs the last thing your do before you fall asleep at night? It depends what day it is. If it’s a day that I work, that means I get home after midnight, so I drive home, change clothes, have a little snack and watch tv before retiring to the bed. Nights I don’t work, I usually lay in bed with Rob and watch Fox…

I have lots to catch you up on. Let’s start with last Friday after I got off work. – trip to Sam’s, Walmart, and Kroger for jambalaya fixings, drinks, and snacks for Saturday – cut up 6 lbs of meat and gathered up everything for the lake Saturday – up at 7 am – ran to Kroger for a spoon to stir the Jambalaya, since I threw the other one away – got to the lake – had a great time; visiting with friends and family, riding on a boat, cooking Jambalaya, getting some sun and relaxing Sunday – up…

Lake Martin is man-made; formed by the construction of Martin Dam on the Tallapoosa River. It spans across Alabama counties: Tallapoosa, Elmore and Coosa. A 44,000-acre lake with over 750 miles of beautifully wooded shoreline. Lake Martin is a great place to swim, boat, fish, water ski, and camp. It’s a great quick getaway for many Alabama residents, especially those in Auburn. Source With it only being about a 30 minute drive from our house, it makes for a great day trip. This year our friends invited us back to Lake Martin for a Memorial Day celebration. Some other friends…

This week since there was not a set of new questions, I went down to her very first set of questions and decided to answer those. π {1} what is your all time favorite dessert? Chocolate turtle ice cream {2} how many siblings do you have? Melvin Nikki {3} have you had your heart broken? Hasn’t everyone? {4} did you play any sports in high school? In high school, I didn’t play sports, but I was equally active in that I played/marched in the band and was also on the dance/kick line. Pure awesomeness! {5} can you post a photo…

So this blog seems to be turning into a cruise blog and I’m sorry to those of you who think of cruising as a ridiculous way to travel. Since we can’t take any big vacations now, it’s just been so therapeutic for me to write these cruising entries. I do plan to do some other travel posts, too. Anyway, so what else have we been up to now that it’s summer. Well…. This week Drew has been at Boy Scout camp and will return tomorrow. Here’s a couple pics before he left. After leaving the Scout Hut, we took Alex…

Last Saturday I took a trip up to Atlanta for my first photo walk. We met up at Oakland Cemetery. It’s quite a large cemetery currently at 48 acres. There are several sections of the cemetery Original 6 acres, Confederate section, New Jewish section, Black section, and Potter’s field. I made it to 3 sections, I believe. I would really like to go back and see the areas that I missed. Front entrance. (If you ever go here, DO NOT park in the parking lot that sits near this sign. Park inside the cemetery. There were 2 people from our…

Original I did 5 or 6 edits of this photo, but I wanted to post something “out of the box.” So here you have it! This is a texture layer added to make it look like a strip of film. Not my favorite, but something different.

While writing the FAQ page, I realized that before I started cruising a lot of the cruise lingo were words I didn’t know. You may find this helpful when reading my entries about cruising. bow: front section of the ship bridge: section of the ship where the captain & crew navigate and steer the ship cabin: passenger room onboard the ship: also called a stateroom cabin steward: person who cleans the cabin cruise director: head of the ship’s entertainment staff debark: to leave the ship and go ashore deck: each level (floor) of the ship embark: to go on the…

The wedding pic I chose is from my wedding, which was way back when and hence, taken with film. The scanned pics aren’t that great, but this is one that people love including me. I never planned to put cake in his face, but it’s just one of those things. As you can see, he got me back pretty good! Having boys means that I have tons of fun pics. I had a couple old pics in mind and I decided to go with this one. It will be a great one to show at his wedding reception someday! π Be sure to check out I ♥ Faces to see all the other beautiful faces that have been entered into the contest!

Back in March of 2008, Rob and I ventured out for our 6th cruise. It was very different from the previous 5 because we didn’t feel pressured to do everything or stick to a serious schedule. We just did what we wanted to and enjoyed it. We stayed up late most nights dancing the night away or singing along in the piano bar. Most cruises we push ourselves so hard during the day and we’re usually so exhausted it’s nearly impossible to stay up late. Something else that was different is that we left our house early Saturday, the day…

This weeks posting is called “Let’s Hear It For The Boys!” in honor of Father’s Day, since I have 2 sons this was quite difficult to choose. I ended up going with this cute one of my older son back when he was in Kindergarten. This was after “fun night” at school with his best friend. Their faces are painted orange and blue, because we live in the city of the greatest university on Earth. π Be sure to check out I ♥ Faces to see all the other beautiful faces that have been entered into the contest!

This weeks posting is called “Let’s Hear It For The Boys!” in honor of Father’s Day. I chose this picture because it’s such a great tribute to Rob and the great father that he is. Here he’s laying in the ‘kiddy’ area with Alex. This pic has always been a favorite of mine. Be sure to check out I ♥ Faces to see all the other beautiful faces that have been entered into the contest! This was taken at Schlitterbahn
