    Commitment

Drew was honored to be asked to be a player on the Auburn Thunder Travel Soccer Team this spring. Normally you have to pay and go through try-outs, but the coach of the team called Friday night. He said he had seen Drew play and has seen his competitive nature, skills, and speed. We sat down as a family last night and discussed it and he was very excited to hear about the invitation. Survived!

Well we survived the sleep over. It went great. I think they all had a great time. Lights out was at 2 am, but that didn’t stop many of them from staying up ALL NIGHT! So they were all zonked this morning when I was cooking homemade waffles and bacon. Rob and I got a couple hours of sleep. I’m thinking I’m going to head off to take a nap here in a few. You can see pics here!

    It’s SNOWING!

Yes, it’s been like 7 years since we’ve had snow! So we are THRILLED to see snow. It’s beautiful. I just wonder why it always snows on the weekend or a holiday. I never get to reap the benefits of ‘bad’ weather. 🙂

    T E N ?

How can my older son be turning 10 already? Where has the time gone? On Wednesday the 23rd, Drew will be TEN!!! He’s got 7 boys over tonight for a sleep over. No I’m not insane, but I might be by the morning! LOL! I had a mushy post to write about the 10 years he’s been on Earth, but I’m not going with that right now. Maybe later when I don’t have 8 hollering boys downstairs, playing air hockey, and playing video games.

I think the main thing with NYR is that people make them on the first day of the year. Keep them on their mind for short time and end up forgetting about most of them by February or March. I did fairly well on a few of my NYR from last year. This year I hope to do stick with all of them. It’s also important to not have a laundry…
