Last week, Alex’s school cheered on the football team as well as all the teams that are active this fall. I took the afternoon off to attend and at first was glad that it was being held outside, but then the temps rose to over 80°. This did not make me to happy standing out there for over an hour with sun blaring in my face. However, I did manage to make it through the whole thing and got lots of pics and video to share with you. I was glad I got there early, so I could stand in…

This post includes a list of encouraging words. It dawned on me the other day how many times I’m googling lists of words to help me come up with word alternatives. I decided instead of continuing to have to google or go to a thesaurus that I would start writing some posts with lists of words. I love lists, so this is totally up my ally. I’m actually surprised I didn’t think of this sooner! Aren’t we all searching for words to use beside good, nice, and great? I know even these days I hear the words awesome, amazing, super,…

If you missed my 1st couple of posts about our West Coast Trip, you should check those out first. – Day 1 – Day 2 – So on Day 3 of our West Coast Trip we woke up in our tent in Yosemite’s Half Dome Village. I woke up a little chili and actually quite sore from the hike the day before, but the brisk fresh air was welcoming. We got dressed and jumped in the car. We wanted to stop and check out Yosemite Falls on our way out of the park. We took a short hike to the…

If you missed my post from Day 1 of our West Coast Trip you can find it here. Here’s our jam packed day #2! I woke up totally discombobulated from very little sleep, but we still managed to be out of the hotel by 6:30 am. We were eager to get to Yosemite and begin our Yosemite Day before the crowds since we were there during the summer; peak season. The week before we were there President Obama and his family were at Yosemite. We had read that he had donuts from Donuts a Go Go down the street from…

I love sharing my travels with you even though I am so far behind. Today I’m looking back at when my family was in Daphne for my younger son’s soccer tournament. The Saturday we were there we didn’t have a game until that afternoon, so we had a decent block of time that we could do something fun. Rob had hard about 5 Rivers Delta Safari so we decided to check it out. While we were there we… strolled along the paths while enjoying the peacefulness and watching birds and learning about the trees that grow in that area. We…

Back in August, Rob flew out to Rochester, NY on Sunday for some training. However, I didn’t have enough vacation days so I couldn’t fly out until Tuesday night. I left work a little early to head to the airport. I arrived in Rochester just before midnight. The next day I drove Rob to his training, so I could use the rental car. I had my day roughly planned out. First stop was the Charlotte–Genesee Lighthouse located on Lake Ontario at the mouth of the Genesee River, which is about 7.5 miles North of Rochester. I wanted to see this…

This Memorial Day at the lake was a little different than our normal. Since Drew & Rob were on the west coast and weren’t flying in until Saturday, Alex, Caitlyn, and I went out to Lake Martin to meet up with our friends. It was so nice that they already had our tent and everything set up when we got there. Fun time with these two These girls crack me up. Rest and relaxation is never a bad thing at the lake. Glad Rob got back so he could cook for us 😉 Photo bomb! Man we’re gonna miss that…

The other day after work I was out running errands for Drew’s graduation party. I hate when I have one thing to get and it seems like the simplest thing to find and you can’t find it. Well, I had decided to forget about it and go home, which I wasn’t real excited about because Alex was not wanting to go to soccer practice. While dreadfully driving towards home, Rob texted me and invited me to go to the Draft House with some of his coworkers. I didn’t bat an eye before heading towards downtown. While drinking a beer, Ron,…

Back in April the boys I headed down to Pensacola for Alex’s soccer tourney. I didn’t take any pics of the games, because I was just a nervous wreck, honestly. Here’s pics of everything else. This post was sponsored by The Women Bloggers, LLC and #SoapBoxInfluence. The opinions are entirely mine except those reported to me by my coworkers. A special thanks to the Kendal King Group creators of #HummusMadeEasy Campaign. In today’s world, life is go-go-go! More is expected of us in less time which causes us more stress. After work, I’m running from soccer fields to scout meetings to church events most every night. Getting dinner on the table and providing healthier snacks for my family always seems to be last on my to-do list. I am always looking for easier ways to…

Over Spring Break, we headed down to Rob’s grandmother’s house in Spring Hill, Florida for a few days. It was a 2 fold trip; partly to visit family and partly to see some spring training games sing Rob’s grandparents live in close proximity to many of the spring training venues. After the game in Clearwater, we stopped at the beach for a little while. The boys brought along the soccer ball and played because the water was pretty cold. It was a beautiful sunset though. Rob’s uncle Mike, recently joined the country band Soul Circus Cowboys as their bass player.…

Over Spring Break, we headed down Florida for a few Spring Training baseball games. Since we have family that lives in close proximity to many of the parks, it’s nice to have a free place to stay and take day trips to see different teams. Philadelphia Phillies Bright House Field Opened in 2004 Capacity: 8,500 Clearwater, FL The Phillies spring training facility is Bright House Field located right off Hwy 19. There a re a few small parking lots around the stadium, but most of those spots are restricted. You will find that most people park in the grassy…

During our Spring Break trip to Florida, we took a break from baseball and took Rob’s grandparents out to their niece’s house. She lives a ways out. It was a nice day and it’s always good to get Gramma and Grampa out for a little bit. If you or kids develop love or interest in ponies, its is advised to look for a source of knowledge about horses before you plan to buy and raise a horse of your own. Linda has lots of fun farm animals Willow is the coolest little dog around. The neighbor’s horse wanted to attention…

Rob got an email that the Columbus Cottonmouths were having a deal that included tickets for 4, 4 ball caps, and 4 All-Star breakfasts from Waffle House on Drew’s birthday. All for under $40! So we got up that day and took him shopping. He really wanted and needed new clothes so we told him he could have a certain amount of money to spend on clothes. We spent several hours at the mall and he got a couple pair of jeans, a Columbia jacket, several shirts, and a couple other things, I think. By the time he was done,…

After our Texas visits and driving from Huntsville, TX to Baton Rouge, LA, we enjoyed spending time with Rob’s family (his cousin and her husband and their 8 kids). The kids enjoyed playing basketball. Reading together Sitting around the fire since it was a little chili out. Riding scooters We all piled around the table for a New Years Day meal at one of our favorite cajun restaurants, Chimes! That always makes the folks that don’t get cajun food that often very, very happy. And of course before heading home we got all the 2nd cousins together for a group…
