Here’s another creation that I finished the other day. I took some old jeans from the kids and cut them straight across a couple inches from the crotch (couldn’t think of another word, sorry). Turned the jeans inside out and sewed the bottom together. Then, I took the red/white gingham clothe and cut it to fit inside the jeans. Those two piece were put insides facing each other and sewed them together. Since I had these handles from another purse that I have, I measured to see where the handle loops need to go. Drew, who now wants to be called Lil’ Man, has for the longest time wanted a garden. Well with all the woods in our backyard it doesn’t really lend itself to that. I’ve seen how tomatoes grow really well upside down. And instead of spending $20 on the Topsy Tomato planter we decided to make our own and recycle at the same time. Well, I should be busy editing pictures of the 2 soccer teams & players I did this past week among about 2,000 pics I took at a soccer tournament last weekend. But….my computer decided she needed some time off. We went last week to Texas. It was a very quick trip to see Grandmother and try to get all my stuff from the house. We brought a ton of stuff back. Nothing of great value and really when you look at it all, it looks like a bunch of junk! But one man’s junk is another man’s treasures, right? The title is written with such sadness, but at the same time I feel a comforting warmth over me… My Grandmother has been in and out of the hospital for a couple months now. Every time I talk to her lately she makes it sound like she knows the end is near.
