Thursday night, just before midnight, I decided to go on a Facebook Vacation. From March 9th at 12am until March 16th at 12am, I am not reading or posting. I think I would be doing fine, except after the Scout Blue & Gold Banquet, Friday night, I was a bit curious (ok, dying) to see what people are saying and the pics that are being posted from it, etc. Other than that I think I would by fine. I would also like to tell the world (ok, everyone on Facebook) how great I think Rob is and all the wonderful…

“For some reason these Cookie Crisp wake me up and make me want to go to school. Before I ate I was sluggish and just wanted to go back to sleep and now I feel ready for the day.” -Another priceless quote from Drew

It seems like Drew was just turning 8. How is it that Alex is turning 8? I was looking through pics to post with this entry. I continued to see tons of pics with him wearing hats. So I made this little collage… Dear Alex, To commemorate this date that you’ve been counting down to for a week now, I decided to write to you, because I know someday neither you nor I will remember these little life details. You are so funny and I may have already written about this before, but you still do this and I love…

You may have noticed from my weekly rewind photo post that one of my goals as of last week is to cut down on Diet Coke. I know writing about my goal is the 1st step, actually a huge step, because I’m not keeping it all to myself. I’m telling the world wide web. haha! I’m serious about this. I’m also more serious than usual because I usually just say, “No more diet coke, only water!” That for me is setting myself up for total failure. I’m not a fan of water. I can drink it, but don’t enjoy it…

26. Strawberries A sweet sign of spring 27. Cutting Back on Diet Coke I’m trying to cut down on Diet Coke, so I went and got these powdered drinks. Not sure how much healthier they are, but it’s a start. Yes, I’m currently having to get the “Energy” variety because of my addiction to caffeine. I’m hoping to wean off that as well. 28. My current Read Anyone recognize it? 29. Txting while Walking 1. My Yummy Experiment 2. Building Birdhouses Den Meeting to birdhouses and practice their skit for B&G banquet next week. 3. Preparing & cooking an outdoor…

Routine Daily devotion is an important part of my day that unfortunately I haven’t been faithful with lately. Music I love music. I think sheet music is beautiful. Technology My iPod Show Me Your Style I didn’t have a chance to take a pic of me to show my style this week. I did receive this JC Penney catalogue, which is where I do most of my shopping. I also where lots of orange. Mismatch Friday was Dictionary Day at Alex’s school. His vocab word was DOWDY, which is a synonym for mismatched. How convenient was that?

Me: Hey babe, can you get me a diet coke? Alex: Sure Mom, I’ll get you a dieing coke! Alex: Mom, I know a secret. Me: Someone told you a secret? Alex: No I have a secret. Me: Oh, is it good? Alex: I have 2 pimples on my butt. Me: You do? You mean your bottom? Alex: Yah, they’re big and brown. Me: Those aren’t pimples. Those are big freckles called moles. Alex: No, they’re pimples! Alex: Mom, when were you born? Me: 1975 Alex: Did they have cars back then? Me: Yes, although, computers and cell phones weren’t…

How is it the end of another month? I’m just flabbergasted! Time goes by so quickly when you look back. Anyway, here’s my post about February! This month I was happy about: getting a free meal for Valentine’s Day. This month I was sad about: my sis-in-law moving and the situation with Mr. Penny. Somethings I accomplished this month are: finishing editing the wedding that I photographed in January! Something new I did was: keep my niece for 3 days. Books I read were: The Help, but I actually had to give up on it. I’ll try it again later.…

I was a total slacker last week, when it comes to my daily photo-taking. I’m trying to do better this week! 24. Pinewood Derby This year we spent about a week on his car, not a month like last year. He got 2nd for his Den. Not to shabby.

Crossed I was looking around the house for something to snap for this one. I found this and loved the way the pic turned out for it. What’s this thing called? The name of it has slipped my mind and it’s driving me crazy! A Glimpse I originally chose this picture because it showed a glimpse into this popular downtown hangout. Then, I noticed the reflection, where you see a glimpse of me! 🙂 Handwritten I enjoy participating in Postcrossing, where you send and receive postcards from all over the world. This is one of the first ones I received…

This past weekend we went with the cub scouts on a family trip to the McWane Center in Birmingham, Al. Such a fun place! Nearly all hands-on, very informational, just loved the place! If you ever travel to Birmingham, I recommend it. Anyway, so our family decided to get their early, so we’d have plenty of time to see all 4 floors. We were able to get through all the floors in about 5 hours and that was really allowing the boys time to stay at some of the exhibits for awhile, not just skimming over everything. We met as…

This was a shot that Drew took! 18. Night at the Museum Saturday we went to the McWane Center for a Cub Scout Trip. I’m working on a post for that. We slept under…

Love Here you see my gift from Rob for Valentine’s Day. Keep an eye out for the funny story that goes along with this. Duplicated This weekend we went on a cub scout trip to the McWane Center in Birmingham, AL. What an awesome place! It’s a science museum that covers many types of sciences. I’ll be posting about this soon too. Anyway, the bottom floor was a favorite of many of the scouts. I love the Jelly Fish! Trend Trending locally for me this weekend was AU Baseball. The boys and I went to the first game Friday afternoon.…

This year the Friday before Valentine’s Day we had a lovely dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. Rob’s company paid for our dinner so we enjoyed a full 3 course meal. Here’s what we had: Appetizer: Wild West Shrimp Main Entres: White Cheddar & Bacon Stuffed Filet (me) Mashed Potatoes Mixed Green Salad Bacon Wrapped Filet (Rob) Seasoned French Fries Steakhouse Mac & Cheese Dessert: LongHorn Dessert Sampler It was an amazing dinner and we practically rolled out of there we were so full! Had leftovers to boot. So on Valentine’s Day, I surprised him with gift hampers tasmania. I got a…

This week was been a whirlwind! One of our nieces, ‘Toady,’ stayed with us this week. Her parents (Rob’s sister and her hubby) are preparing to make a big move across country, so we agreed to keep Toady, who’s the oldest of three children. Every morning we would get up and I drove her about 45 miles to her Pre-K class. I hung out at their apartment for the 3 hours that she was there and then I’d pick her up and we drove back to Auburn. It’s been fun to be able to get to know her better. She’s…

5. Interesting Hanger: After folding clothes, I pulled out some hangers and noticed this one. Made me laugh. 6. Pine Hills: Monday, I visited a very old cemetery here in Auburn. There are many well known names in the Auburn community buried there. I got some awesome pics that I’ll be using in a post when I get done editing, researching, and writing! 🙂 7. 2016 Graduation Requirements: When Drew brought this home yesterday, I nearly broke down in tears! I can’t admit to myself that next year he will be considered a high school student. I don’t for sure…
