With all the bad that comes out of social media, there are good things that come from it too. This story starts off with a random message from one of my former student workers, Jordan. It was just part of her insta story one day, asking if anyone could help her finish her Auburn Bucket List. She asked, “Does anyone know how I can get up to the Samford Clock Tower for my birthday?” I happen to be sitting in my living room across from Rob. Due to Rob’s job, he knows a lot of people on campus. I asked…

1. What does love mean to you? Love is a choice you have to make everyday. Love is a verb, not a noun. Love is showing up…even when you don’t feel like it. Love is putting others before yourself. 2. Is love blind? I’m not sure, but what I do know is… I think people can be attractive not just in the way they look. I’ve seen the most attractive people, but then they either open their mouth to speak or their actions completely change how I see them. Yet you may have someone who’s not all that good looking,…

It’s time for another Share Our Lives post. Today we’re sharing about how we met our significant other, which I’ve actually written about in several posts. You can start reading about here>>> Beginning. However, if you’re not interested in the long story, to sum it up in 3 words; We met online! I don’t have a ton of pics of us from then, because you know back in the 1990’s, we didn’t carry cameras around with us like we do now. 🙂 ~~~~~~~~~~~ Feel free to jump in with the link up on one of these blogs: Joanne / Dara…

1. Something you’ve waited for recently? Waiting for TV shows to come back on, since the strike. Most of my shows will start back this month or next. 2. What’s something you loved to do as a child? Growing up I loved to ride my bike and to swing on the porch swing in my front yard. 3. Something you learned from a grandparent? Well, my grandparents raised me, so really learned a lot from them. My granddad taught me to be generous. He was such a generous man, who loved Christmas so much. He taught me a love for…

Today I’m linking up with Tanya for Prime Purchases. One of my goals for this year is to keep my purchases (especially online) to a minimum. All the things I bought were out of absolute necessity or a gift. Aquasonic Black Series Ultra Whitening Toothbrush This was a birthday gift for Drew, which was on his wish list. Disposable Latex Gloves I needed these for when I cook with jalapeno peppers, etc. I’m over my fingers burning for the rest of the day. These are also great for cleaning! OtterBox Defender Series I desperately needed a new phone case. Mine…

1. January 29th is National Puzzle Day. Do you enjoy puzzles? What kind (crossword, jigsaw, sudoku, etc)? How often do you work a puzzle? I like puzzles ok. My younger son and I really enjoyed puzzles during the COVID shutdown. There are several puzzle apps that I enjoy: Cube Block, Figgerits, and Cross Math just to name a few. 2. Something you currently find ‘puzzling’? Maybe not so much puzzling, but I’m curious to know why Auburn University just fired a winning Women’s Tennis Coach earlier this week along with one of the assistants. I don’t follow tennis, but I…

Looking back at my pics from last week, I didn’t take nearly as many. It was also a pretty chill week and no sporting events. + Went to Mexican for Drew’s birthday, and Alex got this really cool looking meal. I still need to ask him again what it was called. It looked so good. + One day when I was at home for lunch, I went to let Kayleigh in and realized she was muddy. She is such a tom boy. 🙂 + Drew turned 26 and we all shared the margarita tower. + Before Christmas Rob had bought…

1. Do you have a word for the year (WOTY)? If so, and you’d like to share, please share. How do you decide on a word? If you don’t have a word are you still on the hunt for one for 2024? I did the word of the year once, I believe. Every year I’m like I’m going to choose a word and every year I feel like it’s the same thing, so I don’t do it. 2. January 23rd is National Pie Day…will you celebrate? Do you like pie? What’s your favorite? I do like pie, but it’s not…

I debated on continuing my weekly summary posts. I decided to continue sharing them, but looking back at my some weekly posts from years ago, I decided to try to get back to a more abbreviated layout. So here is the 1st one for 2024!! One of my Christmas gifts from my Amazon list was this Bento container that I used to bring my breakfast in to work. I like it. I just wish the stackable snapped together. Another Christmas gift that I’ve been enjoying are my new cat/dog socks from Trey. I love fun socks. I find so much…

Our plan for this year was to go hang out in Columbus that afternoon, grab some dinner, and then go to a hockey game. First stop was the river walk near downtown. We enjoyed watching a couple guys kayak in the Chattahoochee And pretending they were kayaking! Dinner at Fazoli’s which everyone enjoyed except one.
