For anyone who’s curious, I’m still here. We just got internet working at the new house yesterday. We’re in the process of getting unpacked and settled in. Thanks to everyone who helped us move! 🙂 Click below to see all the fun moving pics.

Thanks for all the prayers. Keep them coming please. Things are still not good with me and won’t be until there’s a resolution. If you’d like to read about what’s going on, all those entries will be password protected. I have to be careful who reads it, so if you’d like the password just let me know and I’ll share. I’m just being cautious. On a happier note, we’re picking up the U-Haul tomorrow and are going to fill it with the first load. We’ll go over Saturday morning for the walk through and then, hopefully we’ll have the truck…

So I thought about it today and decided I’d let you in on the lowdown for those that are interested in what happened. Last Wednesday, a week ago today my principal told me that they would not be able to renew my contract for next year. I was in complete shock and disbelief. I’m like, “how can you do this to me when you know I’m in the process of boxing up my house and getting ready to have a much larger house payment?” He just repeated the same thing over and over. All I could think about was how…

Finally! We bought a house this week. Well, we signed a contract and came to terms with the sellers. We’re set to have our closing May 15th, back to back with the sell of our house. We’re moving in the weekend before that if all goes as planned. We’re in a mad rush packing, cleaning, scheduling this and that. Home inspection is Monday. Pray that all goes well with that. Thanks for all the prayers. Keep them coming! Still a few hurdles to get through in the next 2 weeks! Wow! Only 2 more weeks in this house…

I guess I’ve been pretty quiet here lately. You should be thanking me though, because if I was writing here every day you wouldn’t want to come back. I’m just not real happy right now. I’m upset, because we’ve had 3 houses that we would live in and all 3…poof…gone! We’re running out of time, so we’re having to concentrate on renting. Since we’re in a college town there’s hardly any place that does short term leases. And that’s all we need is to get stuck in a long lease and then not be able to get out. I found…

Monday, March 26 – (1st day of spring break) Looked at homes for the first time. 4 homes – 2 of which we scratched off the list. 2 of which we kept on our list. During lunch at Applebee’s we got a call from Laura and found out we were getting an offer by the end of the day. 4:45 Laura came by and we reviewed the contract. That night we discussed the offer and decided on a counter offer. Tuesday, March 27 – Laura called potential buyer’s agent. They counter offered and we accepted!!! 12:00 we signed the revised…

I was hoping for a relaxing, stress-free week. It’s turned out to be the opposite, but for good reason. Although, I’m not going to disclose the reason quite yet. Anyway, I’m going to go try and enjoy my last couple days off…

This is the house that we wanted to buy and the entire reason we put our house on the market. GONE…SOLD! I’ve actually known about this for a couple weeks, but had to get over the devastation before making this public. Life goes on. We’ll continue to pray that ours sells and that we find something else as good. If you’re family, please beware that if you bring this up or anything about selling, you may not get the nicest of responses. You’ve had fair warning. 🙂

So yesterday was Alex’s birthday. He had a great day. For me, it wasn’t as great. It actually started Tuesday when I went to put my contact in my right eye, which looked irritated. I didn’t think much of it. I just went ahead and switched to a new contact, because my other one had some jagged edges. That night I took my contacts out and my eye was even more irritated and red and it hurt. It got worse every time I blinked, so I went and looked in the mirror and it was bloody right above my iris.…

Exhausting day! I’ll let you in on the details tomorrow. Here’s a couple collages of pics from Alex’s photo shoot Saturday. These will be his THREE year pics.

This is the day he went home. Believe it or not, this outfit was for newborns, but it swallowed him up! Where has the time gone? I can’t believe three years have passed already. In so many ways though, his birth and the whole labor and delivery process seems like a dream, like it never happened. I think back to that day and it’s hard to fathom that I went through that agonizing pain. It’s crazy how time tends to dampen the feelings you go through the day a child is born. When you’re in the moment, everything is vivid…

Well, I was trying to think what came after the wedding and well it was pretty much a baby! I found out I was pregnant at 5 months!! I was on the bc pill and just had no idea until I started feeling movement and my tummy was getting big and hard. Yes, it was quite scary. Twenty-two, newly married, in college, and pregnant! It definitely could have been worse. I do realize that, but calling the family to let them know that we were expecting was pretty nerve-racking. Everyone approved and it’s not like anything was going to change,…

I’m so unmotivated to get Alex to potty train. I’ve got to find some motivation some where, because he’s going to be 3 in a couple weeks. Drew was potty trained at school in a matter of days! As for Alex, he doesn’t have the structure from his teacher that Drew had, so I guess I’m forced to take on the task all by myself. I just hope that when I find the motivation that they back me up at day care. So bring it on people. What can I do to kick start this thing called potty training?

Continued from Part III. Soon after I moved to Auburn I got a job working at Auburn City Hall. I worked there from May until September, when school started. In May of the next year (1997), we decided to get married. So the frenzy of planning of a wedding was underway. We only had about 3 months to plan, since we had set a date of August 30!! Rob was working at DP Fitness, which was about to go out of business and I was a full time college student, so we didn’t have a ton of money. We were…

This is how I found Rob the other day when I came back into the room.
